Lawrence Anthony Xavier. How would that go over in So Cal? I mean, as a personal monogram? I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

And, yeah, I'd give the gift.

Of course, this reminds me of a guy I used to work with named Dick Cox. His parents most definitely should've been shot. I never bothered to ask him, but I always wondered if his middle name is Peter.

I'd just awoke from a nap with the TV on and there was this ad for shirts that included monogramming. Somehow, and this I can't explain, I started thinking of "ATM" and how funny that would be!

When I was in college, a group of us would sit around and trade stories of funny names and potentially funny ones.

Frankly, I hate monogrammed stuff for myself and have only used it for luggage, the reason being a purely practical one. My real initials don't spell out anything "special."

But for a gag gift -- for someone else, of course -- could be! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Would you give a monogrammed gift to someone whose initials spelled something potentially weird or embarrassing such as UFO, SOS, SOB, BBW, BBG, BGG, ATM, CUM, etc.? I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I'm with you on this, Capn, and with WeeWillyWinky, too. The emphasis on masturbation, especially when toys come into play, gets repetitive and, worst of all, tends to mean that good booty shots without toys won't be there. I mean the kind where the girl's head to at least upper thighs are in the pic. Don't know why this is, but I've seen it again and again and again!

Probably among the best sites overall for complete stripping and enough nudity are the ATK sites. Not always, and I complained about a trend at ATK Galleria a while back having too little nudity in the pic sets. However, I must say that my new favorite amongst them, ATK Petites, does a good job overall.

Twistys does, too, but the posing gets too cookie cutter.

Then there are the "mixed bag" sites that at least don't get toys into things and do the lovely derriere some justice. Four come to mind at the moment: Hegre-Art, MPL Studios, EuropeanGlamourGirls, and TorridArt (which you reviewed). The first three have photosets of mainly stripping or mainly nude generally; I collect both with the idea of eventually combining a strip and a nude of the same girl. It's not easy, especially with Anna S at Hegre-Art, 'cause her hair color keeps changing!

BTW, EuropeanGlamourGirls has gotten so dull and repetitive over the past few months that I've pretty much given up on it.

TorridArt is probably the best in that you'll get part 1 with stripping and part 2 will almost certainly have good nude poses aplenty and great ass poses! Too bad it's slow with the updates.

The really "nude all the way most of the time sites" include Erotic Destinations and FemJoy. Still, I love FemJoy and will probably die with a membership still active.

Getting back to the point: If you ask a woman what she wants, the answer will probably be "everything!" Well, same here -- except for the damn toys. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Sep 12, 2009, 07:29am

Glad you asked! The panties should off 40-60% into the scene if you ask me. It's fun waiting for them to come off, but come off they must!

I get frustrated with scenes that have them on all or nearly all the time. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I'm pretty much in the ballpark with Wittyguy, and perhaps in the anaconda-infested swamp! Whew! ;)

I don't like giving no-trust votes. Being in a caring and sharing mood at the moment, I'll confide that it actually hurts to do it.

So I have to work my way up to it. Gather evidence. Once there is a preponderance of it, and I'm starting to get more pissed off and less caring and sharing, I might just click that "No."

I almost did it recently to a member who seemed to be shilling the fuck out of a couple of dodgy Russian sites. Then I looked at his trust record ... nothing but "no's" already that were months old. So I let it go for the time being. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

http://www.emaxhealth.com/4/5373.html
No guarantee of accuracy, of course, but the numbers look plausible. The other links I looked at were all in the same range.

This was perhaps the most interesting from a generational standpoint: "Women in the 18 to 44 age group are more likely to remove hair in their pubic region than women over 45, perhaps because this age group is more likely to think that men prefer a well-manicured pubic region on a woman (38 percent of women aged 18-44 think most men prefer a manicured look, compared to 14 percent of women aged 45-54 and 3 percent of those aged 55 and older)."

I guess that women understand us better than I thought! ;)

One little quibble, though: A manicure is for the hands. That's the "mani" part of the word. So we need a new one:
"Pubicure." I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

That's a good idea. It's consistent with the other PU policies.

It's not without its drawbacks, too, as it would increase the dearth of newbies on the forum, at least initially (see Wittyguy's "Where the hell is everyone?").

But you got to do what you gotta do. There's been too much spam and shilling of late. My vote is a "Yea." I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Yes, it's personal taste and trends. I've met women who can't stand hair on a man's chest. Or on his face. Or on his back.

Too bad.

But on the other hand, some birds really dig it. Anyway, I refuse to shave my chest or back. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I've hit on one. Eroberlin, which just recently opened but is not (yet) listed at TBP, has this vid of their Russian girl "Julia" (aka Dasha at TeenDreams; Ulia D at MetArt) up in the Italian mountains on a pink blanket masturbating. This fly keeps buzzing around almost through the whole thing, and it's LOUD. At one point, it alights on one of her spread legs and she's goes,"Ohhhh!" with some alarm and smacks at it. But the fly keeps buzzing, and she keeps going at it with a toy, both with seemingly equal determination. The vid lasts almost 19 minutes.

In another vid up the mountains, at one point she says,"Yeah, mosquitoes, fuck me!"

The girl's a pro! And so sweet and cuddly, too!

I'm reminded of a hike I took up a forested mountain and the flies were just awful! Didn't attempt anything lewd, even though a female friend was with me at the time. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Sep 06, 2009, 07:29am

In fact isn't it a nice thing to see that they are not forgotten about. These people are crying about brainwashing, I guess they have already forgotten about all the political ads that are beaten into our heads before election time. Lets see now, which is brainwashing, speaking about the importance of education or "he is an asshole, vote for ME!"??? That is a close one!

These parents are effectively teaching their children that ignoring the president is a good thing. I was always under the impression that when the president came on TV is was usually something pretty important to most people. It seems they are saying "ignore current nation affairs, they are of no concern to you." Just walk around blind and uneducated, like the obedient sheep that you are.

Education is such an important thing now. People need to be able to do more than simple labor. We have machines that can perform simple repetitive tasks much for efficiently than people, and cheaper. We need people to design the machine that performs the task, or to come up with the product the machine is making. We need people to look for natural resources to exploit. We do not need more 35 year olds working at Burger King. But I guess none of this is important to some people...

Who needed brainwashing when the "No Child Left Behind" bill required that military recruiters be allowed into public schools in order for those schools to receive federal funding? That is, why stop at the mind when you can have body and soul as well?

I thought it was outrageous, but I never noticed any public outcry covered in the press.

This country, the US, has always had and always will have a sizable population of deluded nitwits. We had the "Communist conspiracy" over tap water fluoridation. We had McCarthyism. And things really haven't fundamentally changed.

We've had people tell their little kids that they couldn't watch Barney the purple dinosaur because he was encouraging them to use their imagination. These are the same people who say that everything you ever really need to know is in the Bible. And do they ever exercise their imaginations! Whew!

It's a small wonder that about a third of kids in public schools do not graduate from high school. It's a shocking figure, but that's what TIME reported about 2 years ago.

America has always had a strong anti-intellectual, anti-science, AND ANTI-AMERICAN CONSTITUTION constituency that makes but one exception: the 2nd Amendment.

Really, I see that there are two countries here, not one. The bad, idiotic one dominated for 8 years and made a fine mess of things. Now that they've lost their edge on the popular imagination (or lack thereof), however temporarily, they're mad as hell. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Great sites, huh? I joined. They reek. (Actually, it behaves more like one site pretending to be two, as you'll be in one and then find that you're suddenly in "the other.")

The video quality is poor and there's like 4 photosets in total. And there aren't that many scenes, anyway. Certainly not worth any $30. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I've never had a problem with segpay, but going over my subscriptions through the years, I did notice another pattern: the sites that I signed up with segpay have been generally disappointing.

It's not all of them, but some are standouts. Springtime Beauties suddenly stopped updating. Virgins Photos had trojans (might not now). BlondStars (not listed because it's in Japanese) has serious login problems.

This is not in any way meant to implicate the billing company, of course. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Funny how you read the "alpha" part the way you did. I can see now how it could be interpreted that way, but what I really meant is that I'm the alpha in my house, and the little bugger has to be clear about that.

But on another level, the abstract and iconic level, the "drooler" within is alpha, I suppose. I mean, Freud had his id, and Jung had his animus, and mine's The DROOLER! Mwah-hahahahaha ... I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Even the big points leaders are looking a bit light in the recent trust vote department over the last several months. That tells me that the new members we're getting aren't sticking around or aren't digging the whole spirit of the place ("We got spirit, yes we do, we got spirit, how 'bout you" ... for those of you who miss high school). Obviously this has been happening prior to the TBP 2.0 reviews.

I think that Advent sort of touched on why there isn't more going on here and that's sort of an exclusive that's developed. I think newbies see the big points and badge leaders and are perhaps intimidated. I also think, as has been previously noted, that most potential members are somewhat vanilla and end up joining a lot of the big sites that have the most reviews and feel "what's the point" of adding the 26th review. I guess that maybe part of the maturing process of PU in general and I don't know what the answer is to that.

As for the forum, I really don't get that. It appears clubby in part because we don't seem to be generating enough newbies who choose to participate. The topic selection here has really taken off in the last year so there's really just about something for everyone. Is porn still too taboo of a subject where it's too disconcerning for most people to even anonymously post something in a porn sponsored forum?

Most of the regulars here have been posting since day one of the forum and that's not a good sign for continued longevity. Not that having a few contributors is necessarily a bad thing but some new opinionators would be welcomed.

As a general assessment of PU it seems like we have more new members but very few who stay for long and fewer yet who find their way to the forum. I sort of thought we might get more contributors when TBP put a link to the forum on their homepage but all that's seem to have done is egged on the spammers although we do seem to be getting an increased number of views of the threads. Sort of a puzzling trend, more onlookers but fewer participants ... sort of like a demolition derby only there's no winner at the end.

I recently added a recent post to "What should a PU review include?" to address the shift in power from PU to TBP based upon their 2.0 reviews. In the long term, I wonder if the enhanced reviews are going to cause fewer people to consider joining PU because they feel there's less to add?

That's a good question, that last one. It's great that the 2.0 reviews have so much more detailed info than the previous ones. (I'm obviously less sceptical than I was at first.)

Whether the PU contributions had an influence on TBP, I'm not sure, but it's possible, and if so, we've done well, lads.

But at PU, maybe we're just in a waning phase, and the waxing will resume soon enough. I remain optimistic about seeing new, active posters here. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I'm a dog lover, but none are in the family. I'm not around enough at home to keep a pooch from forgetting who's alpha around here -- and to a dog, that's pretty damned important. Besides, I wouldn't want the poor thing to be feeling lonely. And chewing the bejesus out of everything.

And I can't even clean up after myself. Add a dog? Forget it.

Besides, my avatar is a pit bull -- and a real "drooler" at that -- hardly the epitome of canine class that Denner's German Shepard is. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Sep 02, 2009, 03:29pm

Yeah, I'd say that the insect world and the porn world are a good example of "ne'er the twain shall meet." I remember that there was some "backstage" video at either PixAndVideo or ClubSandy called "Scary Wasp!" or something to that effect.

Some noisy bugger interloped onto the sex scene and it was "coitus interruptus!" I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

That generation accesses their entertainment through their phone and, soon enough, ebooks (small computers with internet only access, no real built in software). I can see the marketing for mirco transaction porn being built around "no hard-drives to fill up or porn to be discovered by prying eyes". The advertising would be built around long term access like a year or so (or short term access for less money) mirco transaction stream only videos.

I can see how it might work with e-books, especially if the user can keep the prying eyes out of the bookmarks (indispensably convenient for replay) and all other manner of places on the computer where the gun leaves smoke wafting around (stored passwords, etc.).

Yet there's something to be said for "owning" the stuff, or at least feeling like you do. I mean, consider the poll taken last December on the appeal of "stream only" sites.

Did you look at the results? I'd say we've got a ways to go before streaming only gets hotter than downloadable. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

What I said to Denner before we were contacted by Andreas of MC Nudes was, verbatim, "If the models don't seem to give a shit, why should the user?" And that was actually carefully worded, that they don't seem to care. It's not about the models themselves; it's how they're being presented.

As others have said, the same models can come across very differently depending on how they're being shot. Klara/Zoe is an example. She's more detached at MCNudes, but shows more personality at ALS Scan.

There are sites that do at least a good job of getting the models into the kind of mood that makes them personally appealing. ALS Scan, ALS Angels, Teenrotica, TeenModels, OnlyCuties, InFocusGirls, and SimonScans all come to mind.

Funny how there is one thing that all of those sites have in common: lots of toy play. That's something that I don't care for, but at least I can appreciate the effort put into getting them happy and sexy for the camera.

And then there are sites that tend toward a more distant presentation. I'd put these on the list: x-art (though not always) and Silent Views (by far the coldest I've ever seen).

MC Nudes, IMHO, doesn't have a severe case of the "cold lady blues," but I'd like to see less of it there. And at Hegre-Art, for that matter.

So I'll go back to MC Nudes sometime. But Silent Views? Forget it. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Aug 31, 2009, 03:30pm

Wittyguy has done another perceptive analysis.

However, my take is that the proposal in the article is more flash in the pan than anything else. It's a practice that would only work if sites would provide full previews of the content. Unfortunately, few do, and there's no consistency in this regard anyway.

There are sites that do full previews and offer full-month and/or short trial memberships. Euro Pornstars and TeenModels are examples.

Then there are sites that already offer full-term or a la carte purchases: DDF Beauties, foxes.com, and VirtuaGirlHD. But they don't have full content previews.

Given that, you don't have to be a math genius to figure that a month's membership is going to be a better deal than by the piece. DDF Beauties, for instance, charges $2.50 for one item, so you'd already be cheating yourself by buying 11 when you could get into hundreds for the same dough (buy a month at "recurring" at $24.95, but cancel).

Full content previews are a mixed blessing for the websites that do offer them anyway. I've been lurking at Euro Pornstars for a while now but won't bite yet. Hardly anything there interests me these days. I probably would have joined by now again had I NOT known that I would be disappointed.

I'd think that server load would put off some sites from doing the full content previews. Would all that bandwidth for free peeks, and then for minuscule transactions, really add up to increased profits from people buying things a scrap at a time?

And would it counteract piracy? It might slow it down if a site stopped doing monthly memberships for total content, but it wouldn't eliminate it.

I'm pretty sceptical. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Aug 29, 2009, 02:05pm

No, it doesn't make sense to blame the Boomers for the mess we're in. There's been a divide in the US between two general political camps, and one of them got the upper hand for 8 years or more and then it got out of control. You have to have regulation of financial markets and banking, for one. You can't have banks lending at 30 to reserves of 1; that's obviously going to lead to some reckoning. And it has.

There are Boomers on both sides, and Gens X and Y as well. It's not a generational problem.

So smoke that. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I don't think anal sex porn was ever necessary -- except for the gay folk -- but I have seen a few scenes of women taking it up the poop chute which really got my bells chiming. (Or was that the dog tags?)

What they have in common is that the girl seems really excited about it and the camera work glorifies her lovely ass. Like there's this one I have of Rebecca Linares on a gurney in a "doctor's office." It's too much!!

But eating shit doesn't have a damn thing to do with sex. It's just zero-star -- make that sub-zero-star -- dining.

And yes, the girl should make sure that the Klingons have cleared the cavern before the Enterprise boldly goes where just how many men have gone before. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Well, I'm just a fool for a sweet smile from a lovely young girl -- easily young enough to be my daughter! LOL.

Today I have to mention this new girl at KarupsHA named Sophie. Long wavy brown hair, trim figure, and a smile that just melts your heart right into your shorts. She looks like a Gen Y hippie chick, if that makes any sense.

In some of her pics, her inexperience at modeling shows also. She makes her eyes too big, or tries expressions that don't really work. It just makes her all the more adorable. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Wow! I mean, WOW!

How do you come up with this stuff? It's a treasure! I'll be returning to read it again and again.

And it's the most "mindful" mindless posting I've ever seen.

Probably.

Good enough, anyway.

This is an interesting point, even though it's not what the thread's about. (Like, who cares?) Had Explicite Art reposted that set at 3000px, I wouldn't have made a peep -- and the score Spencer gave it would still be 90.5.

I like it when sites repost older content when the sizes are larger and the quality doesn't suffer.

Sometimes it really does, as you're pointing out. ALS Scan reduxes of really old, really scanned stuff can be pretty dicey. However, other stuff (Lucy Lee, Monique Alexander, etc.) done originally with better equipment looks nice!

Digital Desire does quite a lot of enlarging and reposting their stuff, too. Overall, they don't do it nearly as well as ALS Scan in quality terms.

Now, I suppose someone will say that it's the same thing as just recycling. To them, it is. To me, it ain't. Go figure. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Isn't rotating content kinda like changing the date on a gallon of milk in the grocery store. Effectively they are tricking people into thinking it is something new. How much of a disappointment is it to find a site has finally updated with your favorite girl just to find they used the same shoot as before? Dirty, dirt, dirty.

Or restamping an expired can of Spaghettioes!

I get a sick feeling when I see even ONE recycled item, because there may well be more fire from whence came that little plume of smoke. I don't like having to be wary of a site I'm a member of. It's like discovering that you're in a relationship with a devious sort of person.

Reminds me of an obscure but great song by the Atomic Rooster, "People You Can't Trust." (Sorry, it's not on YouTube.)

You know what it feels like to read that? Like work! Where I work we have this procedure and that procedure and this problem with this one and that with that one. I need a break, man. Some down time when I not having to worship some fucking process to execute.

And it's not about exclusive content. It's about ERC! Exclusive recycled content!

http://www.beloit.edu/mindset/

To help explain the context, it might be easier with an example from an earlier year.

For example, if you look at the list for the year 2008 (for those born in 1986) you see ...

"6. Photographs have always been processed in an hour or less."

Now, in earlier years it took several days if not a week to process photos but ... for those born in that year, 1 hour processing has ALWAYS been available.

That's the context that the list uses "always" and "never".

Sure, but I think they go overboard on some of them. Dan Rostenkowski? To the class of 2013, he's always been a felon? Both his felonious and pre-felonious lives are far enough into history for that age group that I can't see what difference it would make. How many kids born in '91 have even heard of him? Or of Jack Kevorkian, for that matter? How many even know who their member of congress is?

After all, this is about the MINDSET of the current 18-year-olds (mostly, now). Right?

And I have another bone to pick. It's so one-sided, so pandering to tuition money. I've never seen anything equivalent in terms of getting the students to understand the mindset of the people older than them. Wouldn't they benefit from that? Can't this be a complete effort in mutual understanding?

Well, whatever. Lists. They're so American. They remind me of books like the 1-Minute Manager. Everyone is encouraged to be impatient and shallow-minded and not take the time and effort needed to really understand things in any depth at all. Really, I think that lists like that are worth a little something, but not very much. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Spencer's review of Explicite Art rekindled my interest in the site. (3000x2000 px photos for one, 'til I realized that it's only since the start of this month.)

But then another thing caught my eye: a photoset of "Mia," (aka Michaela, etc.) dated April 22nd in the previous updates for this year. But it looked familiar! So I checked by collection, and there it was. Made sure by matching two exact photos from the site's preview with what I had. The "date modified" on my hard drive? Nov. 2007, the last time I'd been a member of the site.

I guess you can't blame Spencer for giving the site a 90.5, especially if he's not a collector of Explicite Art content. But I would never give that high a score to a site that recycles content.

Anyway, my point must be clear enough by now: Collectors are more likely to catch such things than reviewers are. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Aug 24, 2009, 04:19pm

The point of their exercise is to remind their professors that what seems clear and plane and natural to them, may not even register to those turning 18.

Part of the reason I posted this is to highlight how we all need to stay aware that the world around us is constantly changing. We should not assume or norms hold true forever. I thought it dovetailed nicely with the generation gap thread.

I agree that it dovetails with the gen gap thread. But saying that "Tattoos have always been very chic and highly visible" is pretty close to saying that everyone thinks so.

In fact, all of the statements on the list use "always" or "never" in them. I've learned in my own studies of critical thinking and argumentation to be very careful about making such all encompassing statements, as they are often the product of a simple and lazy mind. It's rather amusing to find it being done so shamelessly on a university web site.

Oh well ... never say "never"! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.
