A free college education is a bad idea. A very bad idea. It is because as with anything else, if you don't have anything at stake, you take it for granted. If the student doesn't have a stake in the outcome, he or she will take it as an entitlement and won't work hard enough to get the education. Standards go down, people start graduating from what has become a diploma mill, and recruiters won't be interested in hiring them because the free education winds up not being much of one. And sure, there are exceptions among the students, but exceptions they are. And some of them come from abroad to study here because of this problem in their own countries with socialized higher education. But the problem in the US is that it has become too expensive for many in the middle class to even afford a good college education, and now it's happening with a jolt in the UK as the govt looks for ways to reduce its own spending. Of course, the really gifted students in science and math and engineering can garner scholarships to help pay their way, though that's not going to do much to raise the general level of education across the board. And that's what's always been lacking in the US. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |

I've been told by at least one webmaster that they use the names the models choose to use. I can't remember which site, though. But there you have it: Sites choose their names, models choose their own names, models change their names, models change their hair and tits and change their names, and alterations occur of names both trivial and annoying (such as a different first vowel in spelling). The media here have reported that the media (themselves) is mistrusted, yet I also can't help but have this gnawing feeling that the negativity toward Obama that has been so often reported is just a lot of BS. It's a tragedy of self-interest, short-term, for all parties involved. It's purely a guess, but maybe they are competing against an actual tube site with that name and the title tag they're using is meant to draw searchers their way. Well, what happened with the mag happened this year with the website. There's loads more of hardcore, even the photoset area. And the video section is now updating 2 or more times a day with full-scene fuck videos. I wouldn't mind if it hadn't turned so completely to hardcore so often. This is turning out to be a really interesting discussion. Yesterday, I was also hoping that webmasters would join in, and fortunately, Yariana has. Well, you could have lower quality and, all other things being equal, how much would be of value to you then? There are sites that do well with flexibility in zips and those that don't. WalterBosque, for example, doesn't. You only download a zip of the biggest size. (But at least NOW they have zips!) MetModels and ALS Scans (and ALS Angels) have good size options. I even think that Twistys' 1600's and 3000's are an acceptable selection of choices. (The same can't be said for the style of photos they put out.) Actually, for me, under 50 percent is certainly what I download from any given site. What I do download gets maybe a 20 percent reduction at most, which is tossing out pics of the girl staring into space or making faces I don't like or the last 10 (of 15) almost-the-same pussy closeups. Oh, I should mention those shots in which the girl takes up about 20 percent (or less) of the space in the photo as she's being dwarfed by a wall or a tree or building or some stupid thing like that. (And I'm sitting at my computer asking, "What in the FUCK do you think you're doing? I mean, who the FUCK wants THAT?") It's a pain to have to chuck things out on a regular basis, but to me the alternative would be worse: the editors deciding what MORE to throw out instead of me deciding that. Well, I'm gonna be the stinker here and say "hurray" for big file sizes, both in pics and videos. I don't mind a 640x480 video if the quality is good enough, and sometimes I'll take that or a similar option over the behemoths, but it's nice to have the choice, which I sometimes take. With photos, I used to say things like "3 mb? Way too much!" but I don't any more. I'd rather get the full-out real and non-degraded pictures, and then I'll make the decision as to whether they get reduced. I remember how shitty the quality was just a few years ago. I prefer the sites that let me select individually the largest sized pics, and I mean the ones that are 4000 px or higher. For the rest, I'll take the zip, or if there are two sizes of zips, I might take both. Met-Art is a good example. After I've chosen my favorite enormous pics, I usually grab both the 1024px and 2048px zips. Then I choose which pic of each size I want. You might say, "That's a lot of work!" It is, especially when there are over 150 pics. And for some, it might seem pointless, but to me, why download a photoset if you're not going to take some time to enjoy it? So I combine that first run-through of enjoyment with the sorting out of those pics, and I wind up with just what I want. Some discards are easy enough. In thumb view in Windows, I can spot the foot pics or the toy pics or whatever I happen not to care for and just hold down the control key and select and/or drag-select everything that goes in the can, and there it goes. I've never heard of any software on the user's end that would allow for custom zips on a server. I don't see how it could be that different from just downloading and then discarding after that. Would it really save you any time and effort? There are a few sites that let you select only the pics you want and will make custom zips for you. BeautifulNude is one, though they make you download one zip for each page anyway, which is ridiculous. Personally, I'm pretty happy with the way a lot of sites are in terms of the selection of pics and their sizes. But no one knows what I like or what you like. That part is completely up to us. This is something I want to keep in mind. Last time I was a member of Twistys, the login used to take a long while, and then it got shorter (was a several-month-long subscriber). Can't be sure if their software got better or if my login finally got cleared faster.
