Several Porn stars have committed suicide (i.e. Savannah, August Ames). They were probably disturbed enough by their profession and situation to take thier lives. This really bothers me and I have deleted any material I had of them.

There are a few pornstars that have committed suicide but many sites continue to show their material. I can't really watch their stuff and haev a hard time understanding why the sites keep it.

My tastes range from 18 to 30-ish but I think it is also about the look of the model and whatever mood I'm in. For example, Femjoy has a potographer named Stefan Soell that takes very conservative images of OMFG beautiful women in their 20s. But there are also some a-MAZ-ingly beautiful tattoo covered women on Suicide Girls and some great 1st-person sex on POVD and the VR sites. The only category I am not that fond of is the traditional, more mature US porn stars and sites.

PU Folks, please read this entire comment.
I got a "not trusted" vote by another reviewer because he did not agree with my review of one of his favorite sites. The no-trust was anonymous, but it could only have been one person as he also wrote a rebuttal to my review to the site flexy teens. He wrote "Inaccurate reviews" in the no trust comment. I even went back to the site and double checked everything I had said to make sure I wasn't misrepresenting it. (It was and I wasn't.) I responded to the rebuttal and responded to the no trust vote. Never heard from the guy again and as far as I can tell, he doesn't come to PU anymore.
The other factor is that any legitimate reviewer getting a no-trust rating has the potential to be discouraged and annoyed with the PU site. I can say that personally, I have been much less interested in writing reviews since this anonymous douchebag no-trusted me in January of 2018. I think everyone has a right to disagree, but a no-trust mark is permanent, universal and..can it even be reversed? That's just wrong.
I know I took this too personally, but as a top-20 reviewer who takes pride in my reviews, I really feel like that was a kick in the nuts. PU could have a better system. Other review/comment systems use thumbs up/thumbs down at the review level, with cumulate votes and the option to report. That seems to be much more fair.
Dump the no-trust option.

There is an entire subculture of pro and semi-pro girls milking wallets in return for images or whatever. The site Patreon.com is set up to support artists of various types, but it has a LOT of instagram, ex-Playboy and other models that will show you skin for money. (Remember Sara Underwood?) It is sort of a lazy version of a webcam site and it is set up like imgur, so the only way to find a girl is to get a link. Apparently, some girls make decent money posting short videos there. I was referred there by one model and her videos ranged from $5 to well over $100. (She is not a model I particularly want to see more of, but I was curious about the site.) I also saw that they try to get you to sign up to be a "recurring patron" which draws $5-50 a month from your funds so you can "support your artist". What a racket! The site was created to serve musicians but it looks like they found a very profitable niche in porn "patronage"..... Google "porn on patreon" to get a list of porn models with links there. Apparently Patreon is trying to crack down on the porn stuff because they want to launch an app, but it is all pretty interesting that this even exists.

For the most part, I enjoy 2.5 categories of porn. The first is softcore with unbelievable, young, generally untattood pro models like Met Art, MPL Studios, Watch4beauty and Femjoy. The second is POV and VR stuff where beautiful women are pretty much tasked with paying attention to the viewer and getting him/her off. The .5 category is this niche of beautiful women that you don't see anywhere else because they have tattoos. Many of them have beautiful, intricate, amazing, sometimes body covering tattoos. There are thousands of these women, with body types as diverse and as spectacular as anything on the sites I listed above. I've been a member of the strictly softcore and social-network site SuicideGirls off and on for years, but the site has changed since a relaunch and everything about it has improved. If you are curious, the SG thread on reddit is fairly representative of the images there, but the site is much more than just images. I humbly acknowledge that this is all about a middle-aged guy fantasizing about beautiful women that are more badass than anything I could ever handle, but, hey, isn't that why many of us are here? :-)

Some basic items that will discourage me from joining a site:
1. No reviews anywhere.
2. A link to the site that originated on a "hunter" or repost site. (This is different from seeing a watermark on a repost site)
3. Stolen images in the tour or ad.
4. A no-name payment processor.
5. Documented bait-and-switch tactics (i.e. having to pay more to download)
6. Cross-check complaints.
All of that is AFTER I look and see good looking models and quality sets. Without those, I'm gone.

The disturbing thing about age is that many porn stars will do all kinds of stuff to stay popular. Rather than working out to stay fit, tat often means having work done. Having work done ages a porn star far more than birthdays do. Those models that can age gracefully without submitting to the knife have my utmost respect. And those stars that can stay fit and trim are at the top of my list.

I think it depends on the model/porn star. I've seen some work that was amazing and I've seen some that was pretty bad. Seeing an underboob scar in what is otherwise a beautiful model/porn star is perhaps the single most dissappointing thing in all of porn for me.
I have had the mixed pleasure of dating a few girls with boob jobs. They look great but feel pretty awful and tend to be sensitive. When looking at a model, anything that reminds me that they are fake tends to remind me how they feel. Moment ruined.

I have met a few on-line and in-person. On-line is about what you would expect..pretty basic. In-person, it depends on the event. Best thing you can do with ANY pro anything when you meet them in person. NEVER TALK SHOP! That goes for porn stars, athletes, actors, anyone. I fly first class a lot and have had some amazing people sit next to me. I will say hello and leave them the hell alone. Often, the minute they realize you are not some fan, they will start a real conversation. I've had that happen with actors, models and pro-football and baseball players (I honestly didn't know who the pro ball players were but knew they were somebody because people kept saying hello as they walked by to board behind us.) And the funniest thing is that once you get some of these guys talking, they WON'T SHUT UP!

OK, here's the deal. It isn't about having porn stars back as much as it is about having a wide and prolific variety of material when they are here and in their prime. The original Star Wars movies are still pretty good even though most of the actors are, in one way or another, long gone. That's because the media is still viable. A wonderful porn star or model is completely timeless as long as her work remains relevent and the media technology remains viable. I still stumble over material from some of my favorite models, but the really old stuff is often just too small to keep or watch. But anything in HD or larger images should be good for a long time. Do I want to see retired stars today? Not really. Do I want to see more material from when they were fucking amazing? Absolutely! A really smart porn star or model today should be negotiating to have some of their material put away for future use. That way, they can retire AND still publish!

As a trend, POV seems to have taken off and VR is gaining in popularity as the tech becomes more accessible. Personally, I think Hololens tech will be HUGE when it finally gets perfects. That is when your glasses allow you to see things in your room as though they/it/she is right there with you. Totally different from VR and much more practical.

This isn't really about the format but about the quality of the content. Some girls are pretty hard to watch in SD. Some are fucking goddesses in 4K or in VR. Higher resolution will ultimately mean better quality, better make-up and better hygiene.

I don't really follow the private lives of porn stars, but I have known a few dancers who went on to do porn. It is SUCH a messed up industry in the US, and so many of these girls are a little messed up when it comes to relationships, that if any porn star can be happily married, I am really happy for them. Now....what I WOULD like to know is if hetero marraiges end up with more porn stars quitting than gay (mostly lesbian) marraiges. My impression is that since gay marraige is already so progressive, married, gay porn stars are more likely to continue working. No data to back that up, though.

Well, sorry, the first thing about a porn star is her look. Other things come second. There are a few porn stars and models that I have a hard time watching because of some trait or quirk. So for me, they usually start with an A based on looks and lose points for the other stuff. Now....I do have tremendous respect for a few models/porn stars because they are smart, smooth and professional, but they started out beautiful anyway.
