Just to let you know, I've also emailed the StraightHell webmaster to voice my frustrations that it's not available in the UK. I used to be a member when it first started. I did open a debate about this on here a while back, in the forum under the thread "Proxy Servers" and the loyal PUers told me not to use one. Ho hum

Fratpad has become well known in the gay porn world, as a "reality" show following 8 gorgeous young straight guys as they go about their daily business in a shared house. As well as the house being full of cameras, and the viewer having the option to move from cam to cam to follow the guys, each guy has an allotted slot each day where he will be on cam for an hour or so. This doesn't necessarily mean he'll be naked, but he'll chat, work out, may show his underwear etc. There's a chat window so members can chat to the guys too.
OK, so far so good, but there's no guaranteed nudity, let alone anything which could slightly be construed as sexual. And in reality this is generally a soft core, titilation site, not unlike the stuff you find on British network TV late at night on Channel 5.
There is an archive of about 160 "antics" videos, which does include a few jerk off races, but generally it's the guys doing silly dances, shaving each other and the usual straight male horseplay (most often non-nude). If you want something more hardcore then better plump for XFraternity or HazeHim.
If you're into softcore voyeurism, then that's all fine, but the site lacks immensely in its back catalogue navigation.
Firstly there are no photos at all of any of the models. There is a substantial archive of over 200 shows of individual guys (I imagine they're all softcore, but haven't had the energy to view them all). These are only classed in chronological order with no photo preview or any hint of what the content is, and there's no search engine within the site.
There have been quite a few guys come and go in the Fratpad over the years, but it seems as a guy leaves, so does his archived content.
There is a sister site, Fratmen, where there is more solo masturbation and hardcore material, but certainly it was not offered as a bonus through the portal I joined. I do feel some bonus material should be added for members.
You can pay $69 to get 20 mins to see one of the guys jerking off, which rises to $189 for 35 mins with cumshot. I cannot see how this can be seen as value for money at all, unless you're absolutely besotted with one of the guys on the site.
The quality of the videos is fine, but they're only available in Flash player, and all are fully downloadable - no DRM.
To sum up, if you don't view this as a porn site, but as a sort of reality show where you can follow hot guys around as they go about their business, and you're not after nudity, hard ons, or sex, then it's a decent concept. But the marketing should really include this.
There is very poor back archive navigation, and frankly, after a day or so I got the point and there wasn't much to see. Perhaps I was expecting too much hard cock... |

I suspect this is not an uncommon issue, as I experienced the same in joining a gay sire, nudemaledancer.com. I subsequently found there was another entry to this site at nudmaedancers.tv (see my comment on this site) which, had I joined from there, would have given me excellent bonus site memberships. This is really frustrating as customers in essence purchasing the same product are being given two different services. I didn't check the price differences between the two sites, howvever.

Whilst this site has serious flaws in terms of non-downloadable content, limited photos and short archive clips, its real merit is that it provides a live link to the Stock Bar male strip club in Canada. Therefore all the content revolves around these shows, and offers a backstage cam of strippers "preparing" for their shows.
For the person purely into watching men take off their clothes, and general softcore content, it isn't too bad. The site is very easy to navigate and offers an insight into the Stock Bar.
However the site does seem a little like a promo for this bar, and there is no interaction between the strippers and the audience as on other sites. Perhaps an added bonus site offering more hardcore material would make the site more appealing.
Although there is a wealth of archive material, it is very short (about 3-4mins), given that the each stripper will be on stage for at least 15 mins, and considering the archive video sometimes also includes scenes from the jerk off cam. There are additional videos such as behind the scenes footage (again, very short clips) a few movies made by some of the strippers - all softcore, and archive videos of some live cam shows - generally all solo scenes.
Videos only seem to be available in flash, and are non-downloadable. The quality varies from excellent with regards the "movies" to quite poor for the archives of live footage. The lack of photos is disappointing, and with no slideshow facility it can be difficult to flick through them.
However, as mentioned, this site is not necessarily about the archive footage and recorded videos, but serves as a live link up to the Stock Bar. This in itself may be worth the monthly fee for those into "live" strippers, and to get that feeling of community, but there are many other sites which offer archived videos of shows offering more in terms of hardcore content and audience interaction. It really seems designed for people who love strip shows, but for whatever reason, are unable to go to one themselves, and I suppose there's a fair few people who fit into that category. |

A really interesting review.
Whilst i'm into gay porn, I'm also familiar with the Japanese censorship, as this is also rife in the gay market, usually the holes are blurred out. I also can find the videos just as entertaining, as for me porn isn't just about the genitals, but just as much about the attractiveness of the person, the scenario, the context and the performance, as well as the individual fetish. i haven't looked at the previews, but would be interested to know if the male genitals are also censored, and if not, what the logic is behind this.

The concept for this site is seen all over the place in both gay and straight porn. Male strippers performing at (gay) private parties or clubs and interacting with the audience. This is far harder than most of the other sites, and the audience are encouraged to suck the strippers cocks, lick their arse etc, and the strippers cum over the audience. This concept tends to get repetitive, although I must admit the strippers really are hot. In the last few uploads, the stripper will actually pick an audience member and fuck him. All good, and now they've added the twist that the audience members have sex with each other as well.
Although the concept sounds hot, the "group" sex scenes are contrived and amateurish. You can see the audience members looking at the director and waiting for their cue to start the action, you see the crew walking in and out of the shots. The "orgies" aren't actually orgies, but different pairs of guys having sex in the background, whilst the stripper does his stuff. All this leads to a very confused and messy look.
I think the problem is they're not sure whether to tap into the market of the excellent GuysGoCrazy site, or to stick with the concept of hardcore stripper action. It seems they've lost their way in trying to please too many people. I did add this to the site's comments page, but of course, it was never posted.
I do have to mention the title, as it doesn't create the most erotic or sexy atmosphere. In the early videos, if you can believe this, prior to the strippers coming out, they actually have a man dressed as a giant frankfurter walking amongst the crowd!! Perhaps this really illustrates how the site hasn't found it's way yet!
The design is very basic and for the money I would expect a few extras, at least some more info/pics of the strippers, perhaps some solo/interview scenes. They do offer reduced membership to its other sites for $14.95, but that's small compensation.
The uploads are infrequent, but this is a fairly new site. However they are lengthy and there is some hot action.
All in all, this site is very much a work in progress and hasn't really found its niche. It offers far more than your average male stripper site in terms of action, and the guys are generally hot. If you're into strippers, this site may be worth considering for a short membership (but don't take the trial, as someone has commented, it's a bit of a rip off), but it may be worth waiting a while. |

I updgraded to wifi at home a few months ago, and it's great. I can take my laptop into any room, and watch porn all over my home. Handy for multitasking. I must admit I've never watched porn in cafes where you get free wifi - probably a bit inappropriate...!
