Bottom Line:
I’m a big Amber Rayne fan and was hoping that this site would give me access to a lot of unique content but it doesn’t do that. My suspicion is that this is simply content licenced from a studio that the webmasters lumped together under the “Club Amber Rayne” title. As a fan of Amber’s work and being pretty familiar with her career, she certainly seems like a model who wouldn’t give less than 100% on a site she actually had some control over which leads me to believe that pat362 and mbaya are correct in assuming that Amber really has no hand in this site. As any fan of Amber knows, her career is pretty diverse – with some serious fetish stuff going on – and this site gives no real indication of that. Apart from a few anal sex scenes there is nothing to even hint that Amber has a side to her that is anything but mainstream.
For a site that has been operating for a while it is extremely small. When mbaya reviewed the site over two years ago he reported that it had 28 scenes. In the 25 months since that review there have only been 12 scenes added. There are no dates given with the scenes so it may be that the site stopped updating quite a while ago.
The scenes that are available are fairly good, though they aren’t really representative of Amber’s career. There is a mix of solo material with toys, some b/g scenes, a couple of b/b/g and b/g/g scenes and several behind-the-scenes and interview clips. Most of the hardcore material doesn’t appear to be exclusive though I can’t say that for certain.
The technical bits are okay, but not great. Most videos are only available in one format (wmv) and in two sizes (low and higher resolution).
Navigation is pretty basic, but then with only 40 scenes there is no need to have anything that is more than basic. Thumbnails for each scene are really small and not of much use.
Many of the scenes also have photos available. The photos are available as a zip.
Bottom line is that even though there are no other Amber Rayne sites out there, this one isn’t worth the price. There isn’t much material here and what is here doesn’t give a good example of how diverse Amber’s career really is. The only real advantage to this site is access to some interview material that is interesting, but maybe not exclusive. This is only a site for die-hard Amber fans.
I think that it is far less stigmatized now than it once was. That is probably due to it being so much more widely available thanks to the internet and that younger women seem to have a bit of an interest now.
What always bugs me about the topic is that so many people publicly denigrate porn who probably also have a big stash too.
As extreme as it is I'll keep them, if for no other reason that I never purge porn. I did that a couple of times back when digital media was still young and expensive and I came to regret it. Much of my quest for porn has been to find the stuff I purged. It's actually been pretty successful since most of it was movies from the early and mid-nineties.
And I agree that one of the many great things about PU is that there is always a way for members to ask each other questions.

I think that by any sensible measure, I'm a collector. I have a big colection, I spend money on it, I save it, I back it up to protect it, I catalogue it and I manage it. I tell my porn buddies that I'm a curator. And that might not be an exaggeration.
This may or may not be an indicator too, but I base big purchases on my porn needs too. Computers, peripherals and TVs are all bought with their porn integration in mind.
And if it wasn't for digital porn, Wittyguy is right: we'd all be those freaks on TV.

Bottom Line:
I’ve scored this site fairly high based mostly on an objective look at it. If I were to rate it more subjectively the score would be lower. This site is well done for a small niche site, but it isn’t perfect. But like some other reviewers (pat362) I didn’t really like the material. This was a bit of a surprise to me since I do like BDSM and rough-sex sites. But most of that material I have I get from sites that are part of the Kink.com network. Facial Abuse is no Kink.com site.
Facial Abuse’s theme is extreme face fucking. I think that it is possible to do this while still treating the models with some respect, but these guys don’t do that. I find rough sex to be a turn on when it is staged properly, but this is staged in a way to make it degrading. If you’ve ever seen more recent Max Hardcore scenes, or the degrading scenes from Meat Members you’ll know what I mean.
Each scene follows a set formula. There is a brief interview where the model eventually undresses. She then kneels on the floor and gets her face fucked by two men. The face fucking continues with her upside down on the couch, and there is usually a scene where one of the guys is sitting on the couch and she is giving him head. The scenes have sex as well, usually anal. Most scenes have a lot of drool with some models vomiting. Most scenes end with facial cumshots.
One issue I have is that many of the models (at least half) are VERY unattractive. Yes, this may be subjective, but not entirely. There are some standards of beauty, and these ladies don’t meet them. Some of the models are downright scary, which I suspect is a product of the extreme nature of the site. Some mainstream models do appear, though their scenes tend to be a little less extreme.
From a technical standpoint, the site is reasonably well done. Navigation is rudimentary and the biggest problem is that the thumbnails are so small that there is no way to get a good look at the model before you download a video. The only way to get a look is to go into the photo page and download a photo. So you see a tiny thumbnail of a girl you might like to see in the video and you have to go into the photo page and click on a tiny thumbnail there and make your decision. And trust me, you’ll want to do this because otherwise you’ll get some very ugly women on your hard drive.
Once you do decide to download a video you have a lot of options available for size. I find that downloading the file called “broadband” rather than HD to be sufficient. This site’s ‘broadband’ scenes are better than what most sites consider HD. The downside is that file sizes are large. Download speeds are good.
The bottom line is that this site is well done for what it is, but I suspect that market may be small. I like material like this and figured that I’d like this too, but even I found it to be over the top. I had no issues that others reported, but think carefully about a membership – it's EXTREME
My review will be up by the time you read this, and while I wouldn't necessarily recommend this site to anyone, I hope that I kept it objective. My goal would be for someone to look at the reviews (all of them) and get a sense of what is there, plus get a sense of how the site measures up in objective technical stuff. Objectively, the site is great - there is a decent amount of material, the navigation is simple but effective, the download speeds are great, the scenes are well shot, well lit, etc. If someone were to read the reviews and say 'these two guys thought it was too extreme, but they also say the site is decent and not a rip off, then I feel safe joining' then I'm happy with that.
And full disclosure - after all my comments about it being too extreme, there are still some scenes that I plan to download.
I suspect that you're right on a lot of this. I don't like to make my reviews too subjective because just because I don't like a site doesn't mean it isn't good.
I also agree that there are a lot of women who enjoy rough sex and being dominated. Look at most of what is offered on the Kink.com network. Sites like The Training of O, Sex and Submission, Water Bondage, Public Disgrace all rely on women who like being treated roughly. Society SM and its sister sites are the same.
The physical torment that women are subjected to in the sites I listed above is the same or close to what goes on at Facial Abuse, but the mental element is completely different. On Kink and Society SM I get a stong idea that the women like what is going on, and more importantly that the men recognize that they the degradation and humiliation of the women is just part of the sex play. For Facial Abuse, I get the feeling that these guys genuinely dislike women and see nothing wrong with what they're doing. I get the feeling that when the scene is over at a Kink shoot that people help the woman get back into the real world after an intense BDSM session. At Facial Abuse, my suspicion is that when the scene ends the staff say 'here's your $50 you dumb cunt, now get the fuck out of here.' I may be wrong about that, but if I am it is mostly because site like Kink go out of their way to make it abundently clear that the women are tossed out like garbage. Maybe when the cameras are turned off at Facial Abuse the guys drop the 'douchebag' schtick.
Finally, while I agree that some women (maybe a lot of them) enjoy BDSM and related activities, (Bobbi Starr, Madison Young and Amber Rayne come to mind) I can't imagine that too many women really enjoy the kind of mental abuse dished out at Facial Abuse. But having said that, Amber Rayne did a scene here so what to make of that>

So many others did have technical problems with the site that I thought I'd make the specific comment that I didn't have any of those issues. When you and I had a back-and-forth after you wrote your review that was one of my big concerns. If you reported problems I would have stayed away, but since you didn't I took the plunge. Maybe whatever problems other people had have been resolved.
I agree with you that there is good extreme and bad extreme. Read the comment from malikstarks in this thread. I agree with him too. But... there really is good extreme and bad extreme. Where is that line? I don't know. Maybe you and I are just being too subjective and basing this on taste. Maybe it's an age thing in that people younger than us have different media experiences. I still think that The Exorcist is the most scary movie ever made, because when it came out there was nothing like it. For someone in their 30s The Exorcist might seem tame and quaint.
But having said that, I still think that there has to be an objective standard for what is too extreme. And now that I think of it, there is. Most countries would have some criminal law dealing with this kind of material. You and I are both in Canada and I suspect that this material would be found to be illegal if we tried to import it as a DVD. The problem with using the criminal standard to determine whether this is too extreme is that that standard itself uses the :community standard" test. I'd bet you have trouble convincing blue-haired old Baptist ladies anywhere that this stuff isn't extreme, but they'd probably say that about tame mainstream porn too.
I think for me that I'm going to come down to the same test that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Potter used way back in 1964. To paraphrase him for this discussion, I may not be able to define what is too extreme, but I know it when I see it.
pat - based on your review and the conversation we had in the comments section I took out a membership at Facial Abuse. Holy crap you weren't kidding when you said this stuff is extreme! I like hardcore BDSM and I even like some Max Hardcore stuff, but I found this shocking. That really surprised me. This seems to be abuse for the sake of abuse.

I joined Facial Abuse recently and I'm working my way through the material It is a LOT more extreme than I expected it to be. I like BDSM stuff, but this is too extreme for me. Objectively the site is great – lots of material, relatively easy to navigate, good download speeds – but subjectively, this site is probably only for a select group. Be warned - some of this stuff makes Max Hardcore look like a Girl Scout.
I haven't experienced any of the technical issues that people reported here. My log-in works all the time, and I find that download speeds are consistently around 1.3MB/sec. I haven't had to contact customer service for anything yet so I can't comment on that.
There are probably some very good reasons why they don't offer a one-price access, but I agree that something like that would be great. Even some kind of bundling for older material. Still, even at the prices they charge the sites are so good that they are still an excellent value.

I realize that Device Bondage might not be for everyone, but if you have a bondage interest this is an excellent site. The site’s claim to fame is that they don’t use traditional rope bondage, but, as the name suggests, they use a variety of other means to bind the models. The most common is a set of pipes and clamps that can be used in countless ways. It all makes for quite a unique site.
Most of the scenes follow an effective formula: first there is an interview (to make it abundantly clear that there is full consent – this isn’t Max Hardcore). Then they move to a bondage scene with some S+M thrown in. Usually a second bondage and S+M scene follows. At some point there will be forced orgasms. Finally, the scene closes with another interview. The basic formula is also followed where there are multiple models.
As of this review, there are now well over 500 scenes on the site. They continue to update several times a week. Adding the uniqueness and creativity on the site to the volume of material makes this site an excellent value.

Bottom Line:
Public Disgrace is one of the Kink sites that I join regularly. Like the other sites in the network, this one has a fairly unique niche. Like other Kink sites, the folks at PD really have an excellent product.
I’ve re-read my past two reviews and what I wrote continues to be valid. The biggest change is that the site is getting bigger by the week. They are now up to approximately 140 videos, most of which are about an hour long,
The basic formula remains unchanged since the site first opened: they combine some pretty intense BDSM (with a lot of humiliation, which is a sub-genre in BDSM) with public nudity and sex. The two broad categories that I said existed are still there: scenes shot in the U.S. (mostly) in the Kink Armories and scenes shot in Europe. The scenes shot in Europe are far more daring (obviously due to a more relaxed environment re public nudity) involving bondage and nudity actually out in public in front of regular people going about their business. The scenes shot in the U.S. still involve public humiliation but it is done in a more controlled setting with a group of people who obviously are in on the whole thing. Having said that though, there have been several U.S. scenes posted since my last review that really push the envelope. There are no scenes that compare to those shot in Europe for full outdoor public nudity, but there are some scenes that push the limits.
Regardless of where the scenes are shot, the underlying formula is unchanged: take a model, put her in bondage in some public setting and add in a heavy dose of humiliation. That takes up the first half of the scene, and then the model is bound and fucked. While that may sound like a recipe for all the shoots to look the same, the site does an excellent job of keeping the scenarios fresh and interesting.

(Some may quibble with the ‘99’ score, but I stand by it. The scoring guide recommends scores in the 90s for sites that are “near perfect, best in it’s class. Highly recommended.” That is definitely the case here.)
Reading some of the replies made me realize how different the strip club experience can be in different jurisdictions. I agree with everyone who says that paying a lot of money to see some breasts is poor value. I'm fortunate to live in and travel to jurisdictions where full nudity and lap dances are allowed and so is touching. Reviewing sites is never objective. I agree that a download speed of 800MB/sec is objectively better than a download speed of 400MB/sec. Same with higher resolution being better than lower resolution. I try to take those objective measures into accout in my reviews but it is impossible to be completely objective. I gave PornStar Network a 90, but I can see how someone else would give it an 80 or a 95. You might give it an 80 because they don't really have a lot of videos of older BBWs in thong bikinis. That's a valid criticism and worthy of an 80 as long as you explain why you gave it an 80. I think PSN is a great site and I realize that a lot of my opinion is subjective. I really liked the site - it was huge and there was a lot of stuff there that appealed to me. I've already recommended it to two porn friends.

- Many DVD scenes are listed under a created title that can be confusing (instead of listing it as Taylor Rain in Taylor Rain Gets Fucked in the Ass Volume 74, the scene might be listed as “hot teen brunette fucked in the ass.)
- Download limit of 100 files per day (which for most people isn’t too bad, but some of the older scenes are broken down into smaller files so that might cause more of a problem
- No HD options on even the newer stuff
- Some of the exclusive sites aren’t updating (I can’t and won’t fault PSN for this since the most likely cause is that the model has left the business)
Bottom Line:
In the past when I’ve had friends ask me how they can turf their collection of 1980s Hustler mags and join the new world of internet porn, I steered them to Videobox. I’ll still do that, but I’ll also tell them to get a membership at PornStar Network too. This is a great site with access to a great mix of DVD porn and some seemingly exclusive stuff too. Many of the best models from Quebec are here. (The site is run out of Quebec, so that makes sense.)
The site also features access to over 130 porn studios, some major, some smaller. Some studios have almost 600 DVDs here. The smaller ones less. What surprised me was that there was not as much overlap with Videobox as I expected. Even in the studios that both have, there were titles here that I couldn’t get elsewhere.
One factor that could have been a serious negative has been turned into a positive and is a reward for those of us who hang out at TBP/PU. The membership for those who stumble in from the open web is tiered: your basic membership excludes access to “MovieZ” files that make up about 50% of what is on the site. That sucks, unless you join through TBP/PU. Doing so gives you full access to the entire site, and there is a lot of material here.
All the extra material that you get is accessed through PSN but it is all watermarked as VideosZ. I can’t say for sure that PSN gets you access to all of VideosZ stuff, but it must be close. If you’re considering a VideosZ membership this might be the better value.
Many of the files have some options for download, though the premium stuff through MovieZ is only available as AVI files.
Download speeds average about 650MB/sec, though that can get higher on occasion. One problem I encountered several times was that while download speeds remained the same, the navigation speed dropped off to the point where it was frustrating to use. That didn’t happen often, but it was annoying when it did.
Pictures are available on most of the exclusive sites, but I don’t download those so I don’t have a lot of detail. Zips are available.
Search and navigation functions aren’t up to standard, but once you figure it out you can muck about. Sometimes DVD scenes can be catalogued using a description that makes it harder to find if you’re looking for a star or a title.
This probably isn’t relevant now, but when I joined they were in the process of giving PU members full access and I was missed somehow. The customer service was excellent and fast. (Two thumbs up to the TBP staff for their help with this too!)
The bottom line is that not only will I recommend this site to porn buddies, I already have. The video quality and navigation are about industry standard, but the sheer volume of porn here makes this an excellent value whether you’re just starting out or whether (like me) you have enough titles to rival the best porn store in the country. To top it off, the material is a good mix of DVD and more exclusive.
