720p works for me - I struggle to see any extra detail when watching 1080, and I usually watch in a window rather than full screen anyway. 1080 videos can be much larger file sizes - so when there is a choice I've taken to choosing 720.

I chose other. All my porn as such is digital, and kept on an external drive; it's not hidden as such, but neither is it labelled PORN.
I've also got a collection of racy books - nude photography of varying explicitness - which I started with before online porn. The milder, pinup ones are fairly openly stacked on a shelf; the more explicit are more subtly hidden in a cupboard, out of the way of eyes that might be shocked by it :)

It's hard to choose since I've seen good material from all those places; but for my money I'd probably say France - they have an eroticism that much other porn doesn't have. East europe seems to have an endless amount of very pretty girls, but the material tends to be a bit cookie-cutter...

Update frequency is the main one. I'd consider a recurring membership only on at a site which offers daily updates; or if the year membership was very cheap. Otherwise, no matter how much I like the content, it's just as easy to join again later and catch up.

Only the really mild, glam-type stuff. Eg pinup-type girls tied up in mock peril and the like; or models tied loosely with nylons. Similarly for fetishwear; I like glam latex, but not really the full-body-with-facemask getups.

Doesn't work for me at all! Agree with Drooler that my ideal porn is very sex-positive and empowering to women - although admittedly much is not like that.
Also agree with Messmer that on sites which have comments, some are awful; I don't really understand the lack of respect in some of them.

Depends what you mean by password protected - my password is required to get into my computer, but the whole drive isn't encrypted. As something of a conspiracy theorist I'm tempted to do so... but also seen such drives become unrecoverable after encrypting so am on the fence.
I do have an encrypted partition for passwords and other sensitive stuff... but don't bother encrypting the external drive I keep my smut on.

Pretty much as Claypaws said - compared to other expenses that could be cut back on - or other forms of entertainment - joining a site I like is relatively frugal so it' hasn't affected me that much. That said, other aspects of life have kept me busy so I have been joining less sites than last year...

It doesn't appeal to me, in porn or in real life. If it works for some folk - and both partners like it - then I can understand it being a fetish of sorts, but I'm baffled as to why it's so mainstream now. A casual observer would think it's the only way to do it!

About 30% or so - less than I used to but recently 'upgraded' to a smaller 256GB SSD - definitely worthwhile.
Also about 30% free on my external 1TB smut drive - I am hoping it will keep me going for the foreseeable future, so may have to prune it a bit...

Definitely - it suggests a long out of date site, that nobody is maintaining. Granted, if the content is good, a monthly membership still could be worth it; but usually there's no good tour on such sites, so no way of knowing.

Best to pick your own (as with noses). At least I have a chance of remembering it; some sights assign a completely random username and password, meaning I have to go back to the joining email every time.
Of course how annoying that is depends on how long the site leaves you logged in - some do for your entire browser session which is fine; but eg Watch4Beauty has random username/password AND logs you out after a short time.

Actually, it depends. If it's the straight gonzo style, then that's pretty generic. If it's part of a scene, and we see both parties enjoying it, then it can work for me - and (not putting too fine a point on it) it is very analogous to what we, the viewer, might be doing - which can work too.
