Excellent advice for producers. I hope someday they'll catch on that as porn gets more competitive, consumers won't be satisfied with just anything. Once I've seen a quality web-site, I find anything less to be a turn-off.

That's almost like the businesses that hit parking lots and put flyers under windshield wipers. I typically won't do business with any company that has to resort to saturation marketing to get customers. When I want a product, I'll go looking for it.
I guess I really am stupid. I don't have a clue what passes for good business practices. I guess the average person bows to the high pressure bullshit and re-ups. Me? It just makes me resolved to never join again.

I don't really care what any of you think on my review, when I joined Twisty I was happy, it was what I was looking for, so much so I had a long stay with them.
If another person was looking for that material I sure they would be very happy but as we have pointed out after some mount of time you would get bored.
If you don't like what I think, fine, I am sure there are reviews you have made on other site that I would disagree with; maybe I should team up with a few members and mock your views and comments.
If it not you thing, fine I still thought it was a very good site and still do, but like the Simpson I grew tired of it.

I think your review was great and thorough, jd. Very well done and not misleading in any way. They deserve the rating you gave it. The mistake was mine. I should have taken a closer look at the word "Glamor," turned my back and looked for "Amateur" or "Housewives" or "Mature" instead.

Yeah, I did, jd! Trouble is my mind was made up, mainly because I had been looking and looking for a site that would really suit me and I figured with all those models (not to forget the good deal we get) surely there must be something there for me. There honestly wasn't. The models, as becomes a glamour site, are too slick and perfect for me. Maybe during the coming weeks, as my subscription runs its course, I'll find SOMETHING flawed! Maybe the odd saggy breast, or pimple, or wrinkle. :-) I'm kidding, of course, mainly because I didn't lose too much on the deal so I can treat the subject with humour.

To tell the truth, jd, if he were to make a special category for me I don't think he'd come up with much. Yesterday I wrote that I liked the site but today I must say that I've never been more disappointed with a site. It's a swamp of American models with fake breasts. Even the European models look like American models! I took a long, long look and see nothing but women who could be posing for Playboy or Penthouse. I won't blame the site for it, and most would consider that a plus, after all it is a glamour site but there is a horrible, artificial sameness to it all. If you like individual porn stars, there's a great opportunity to download everything pertaining to them but I'm not hot on porn stars, I prefer the girl next door. Didn't we have this discussion before? :-) In any case, every single picture set I looked at lacked definition, had flesh tones that were way too warm and unnatural, and was mostly in portrait format rather than landscape. These are all personal preferences and I won't blame the site for it. Just wish I had taken a better look first before I leaped. So, I'll be canceling today, one day after subscribing. Must be my quickest one ever. I should have stuck with hi-def pro-ams (women who are pretty without being glamorous.)

I may try that (to reinstall). Main reason I'm partial to Netscape (instead of Explorer) is, that with Netscape you can watch videos during download (except when using download-manager, of course)...
Opera I've not had good experience with (my own fault, I guess).

In the spirit of redundancy - I figured I'd spread the word far and wide: None of the Kink.com websites have monthly download limits.
There have been enough questions about this I contacted their support guys and got a response from a customer support person named Elmer:
"We do not have a download limit for any of our sites. Enjoy downloading!"
So we can all go and download worry-free!

Personally I've never hit it, but I won't be surprised if they do. As most of really good sites, kink.com has technical stuff who're not on par with content to put it mildly. See my comments about their login system, which is one of the most annoying ones in the industry.

They could, but I have yet to hit it and honestly doubt that I will. I don't have a really good broadband connection to have the ability to leech that much content in that amount of time.
If I did, I wouldn't let that stop me from subscribing, though. I'd rather see what I've seen and then get pissed at hitting a bandwidth limit than to miss what I've seen and move on to some cookie-cutter site.

Ok, not really sure what could be going on. As mentioned, I'm still seeing the special price that we list.
To see redirects in your browser is not in and of itself an issue. It's quite normal for links to change several times in a referral. What is important is, are you seeing the special price. If the answer to that is no, then again, not sure what's going on. You might try contacting the site directly.
Are you in the US? If not, it's possible they're using regional pricing ... but that simply a guess.
