Well, I got one, through Amazon. Showed up yesterday. Formatted it from FAT (yuck!) to NTFS in about 1:45. Have put on the A and B models from the old FAT and other drive (a traffic merging). Those alone are 20 GB, and just photos. Jeez.
The thing really is quiet, except when I'm throwing scads of heavy folders at it. I like the minimalist, iconic blue-light concentric circles thing, too.
Thanks for the tip, and Khan, too, who will probably be reading.
Now Marina has plenty of space to do her car-hop strip routine.

I've also been using a Western Digital 500GB My Book for about 6 months now with no problems. As you say, it was a simple plug-n-play.
I do seem to recall I reformatted the drive when it was brand new based on info from the manual. If memory serves, it had something to do with the max partition size when a drive is formatted with FAT 32. It was a quick change and now it's running great under NTFS formatting.

I actually joined a few days ago. I used to go to the old site occasionally for the pics and never cared for the videos (quality) and didn't even bother with the desktop dancers.
But now it's gotten under my skin. I've got one desktop stripping of Nikky Case that, well, speaking of getting attached! Also got her interview video. She's got a very natural, unpretentious charm and speaks in English (all present tense, no articles, etc. but no matter!) What a sweetheart!
Hey JD, as I'm always asking tech questions, do know of a reliable maker of 500GB hard drives? Seriously, my 160 is losing space, and I've had to put my newer VirtuaGirl dowloads on hold. Thnx.

Well, to get rid of the auto redirect from the google page, I deleted all cookies (just trying whatever might work, starting there).
Then when I returned to the google page via my bookmark to it, it was altogether different, like a basic page before user customizing (putting news here, a calendar there, weather in another spot, etc.). I thought that my cookie deletion might have done that, but of course that's a result of having to deal with the bleeding unwelcome autoredirect.
But then I couldn't log in to google, so I did the password reset process, and voila, my custom page did return, so I didn't have to rebuilt it from scratch after all.
Does this make any sense?
Anyway, it was a pain in the ass.

Would Vivid still exist if it weren't for the cable market? I rather doubt it. The director that was actually talented (Robbie D) went to work for Digital Playground and Vivid was left to try to cash in on the alt-porn thing - talk about Morbid - Ucccccchhhhh!!
Still the last time I had a one-month membership I thought that they had made some significant improvements to the site - larger, save-able pics and better-looking streaming vid than when I had a trial membership previously.
Still, Vivid's main skill has always been that no company has ever been better at wasting opportunities than Vivid has. They have had many of the hottest women ever to have done porn as their contract stars, including Chasey Lain, Racquel Darrian, Asia Carrera, Kobe Tai, Lanny Barbie, Jenteal, Sunny Leone and they have not done shit with them as compared to what would have been possible if they were contract stars for a company with some imagination.

Anyone remember ibill? They got the people at ClubSandy and PixAndVideo so mad by not transferring payments to them that both sites posted statements NOT to use ibill to subscribe. (ibill was still listed as a billing company at their sites, so I suppose it was some kind of contract snafu.)
ibill used to be all over the place on porn sites. Then ... *poof!* And toward the end, I got shut out from a couple of sites that I'd subscribed to through them ... for "sharing access," which I did not do. Can't prove it was people at ibill who dealt me that; can't prove it wasn't, either.
I'll tell you one thing, it's best to use just one credit card for all of your porn transactions, just in case another billing company goes rogue on us all. It's certainly not an airtight measure of precaution, but it beats the alternative.

What Bosque emailed sounds reasonable.
As far as not accepting Visa for payment, probably a financial reason. Each credit card company can charge differently to business they are dealing with, and Bosque apparently feels Visa would charge his company too much for the transactions.
It's not simply a financial transaction from member to Bosque's site, but there might be currency translations as well, and that could get expensive.
(Just guessing.)
What really burns Bosque is they not only stole his membership money, they also demanded 2000 euros to install the billing service on his web site.
The gall of some of these thieves is amazing.
I read where some of these Internet scammers in Africa justify their thefts by saying they are only taking a small amount of money from people who can afford to lose it.

I'm surprised there is not a lot more fraud in porn, because there is fraud in commerical businesses, and you would think that porn, with a lot of very small businesses, would have an even bigger problem. Can a small businessman in South America afford to sue someone in Germany or Spain? What would be his chances of collecting anything?

I doubt it's rare to not like anal, I've talked to a lot of other guys in person who don't give a hoot about it. I'm sure it's more popular than other niches though, I'll give it that. Seems the US boom of anal porn has died down a bit though. I remember maybe about 5 years ago when almost everything coming out on video was anal focused. Not so much now though. You can even tell the difference between US based and euro based porn on the web, as euro tends to be a lot more anal focused. I'm sure there are exceptions but it's something I've noticed for sure.

I can only agree on that as I always like to hear a models voice. If the voice is nice enough it gives an extra thrill.

I agree with you 100% and we'll be upgrading our model navigation (among other things) when we release the next version of our members area.

We actually switched to 852x480 wmv's @ 2000 kbps for our default video size after we began shooting in 16:9 earlier this year. I'll also point out for potential members that we also offer new videos in 1280x720 wmv's @ 4000 kbps and 426x240 wmv's @ 500 kbps (low).

I appreciate your feedback regarding indoor vs outdoor, however opening our own studio would actually hurt the selection of models. Our photographer Fred and his crew fly all over the world to book girls for our shoots. A stationary studio would limit us to local girls or we'd have to convince them to come to us. While consistency would improve from set to set, the selection of girls would not.
