You are correct that it's not a good excuse. I just think that it's a reality for almost all porn sites these days and I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Most sites are still updating but many of them do so less frequently so that instead of new content each day or so you now get new content once or twice a week.
My biggest issue with DDF is in the fact that many of their updates are older scenes that have been remastered or a scene from one site is updated on another site as though it's new content.

If the quality of the videos was upgraded to high resolution, I think at least some of the videos would be worth keeping, because there are some very attractive models in these videos.
There is one model in particular that I really like. I've seen her in a very few videos at different sites. And she's in one video at this site. If the definition was only better, it would be a nice video, because I find her very attractive. I don't know her name.
But the chance of this network upgrading these videos is close to zero.
Regarding subtitles: I think for most porn sites that have subtitles for their videos (mainly Russian or Eastern Europe), most of what the models say in these clips where the model and stunt cock are "acting", the conversations and subtitles are far below the standards of even a grade B movie. I enjoyed the idea of reading subtitles in a porn clip, but after reading the subtitles of a few clips, most of what was said was either stupid or boring or almost meaningless, and I did not worry about the accuracy of the translations.
Check the subtitled videos at the Teen Mega World network to see what I mean. Tricky masseur has a lot of subtitled videos. Or this Policeman site has subtitles, which helps to explain the words the models are using. But after reading the subtitles, you can turn your brain off and try to enjoy the sex action, because the conversational part has little to hold your interest.
There are softcore films where the conversation can add interest and humor and flavor to the video/movie. But not the sex porn clips found at networks like Teen Mega World, Devils Film, or Diesel or Nubiles.

I agree with you that the quality has been dropping a little more each year. In their defense. I don't think they are alone because I find that a lot of porn sites/network are also suffering a similar fate.

I also feel a bit dissapointed when I join DDF lately. I think they had amazing talent five or seven years ago (Sophie Moone, Eve Angel, Jo, etc.), but since then, they haven't been able to replace them with other models with the same charisma, and 21st Sextury has been able to atract the fans of all those "classic" models by offering them solo sites (some of which are also going downhill, btw).
Right now, DDF offers well produced action with cute models, but it doesn't have that soul or glamour or something extra that it seemed to have...

Nice review, as usual.
I am surprised the video quality is sub-par, because that should be one of the great strengths of Playboy, along with expert softcore photos. But my biggest knock against Playboy is the plastic women: over the last 15 years, there were very few Playmates I found attractive. I think the Playmates from the 1960s and 1970s were much less plastic.

You have a fantastic memory. I have a problem trying to remember which sites I have been a member of, and that's one reason I check PU before signing on to new sites. But if you are able to remember a log-on page that you had to use months ago, I think that's incredible. I only wish my memory worked one-tenth as well as yours does.

Some time ago, I subscribed to a site in the same network and found the same issue - probably in common with some other folk here, I have a separate webmail address (gmail in this case) for, er, extra-curricular activities.
I got round it by setting up a dummy address on one of my personal domains and forwarding it to my gmail account. Works fine, but obviously only if you have a domain you can play with.
Depending on your ISP, you may be able to play around with their email setup? Eg some ISPs may give you an address of anything@slutty.isp.com and give you the tools to forward varations of the anything@ etc.

No concerns with malware or viruses; maybe "space" is a factor, I donno. In retrospect, maybe "uncomfortable" was a poor word-choice.
But for the most part, Unless I've decided to save something, I find streaming quicker and more managable. For example, I can skip through unwanted parts of a scene, back up, and not set and wait for a clip to download.
As for buffering an' the like... I'm not bothered with that too much, I suppose because of having a hefty processor, bandwidth and memory allotment.

I'm sure the downloading speed was much better when I fisrt joined. It's only in the last week that it;s started to go down. Mind you I'm having some internet issues with the new modem my ISP installed so I don't know how much is me and how much is the site.
I have at least a dozen good videos that are keepers and a few others that might make my long term list.

Hi Yes I agree I did notice a scene too from adultlabs appearing on the site. It looks though that it is going in a good direction with the quality of girls and I'm sure in a while if it keeps it up will be a good site to join and recommend.

Great review. Sums it up really. I think the unreliable servers are the biggest drawback of this site. I havn't got more than 240 KB/s since I joined last week so you're lucky getting 1 MB/s.
I agree somewhat with the bonus site idea. However I think there should be bonus sites to this one instead of the other way around.
Another thing that is bothering me is the model names. They are clearly made up as many of the girls are known as their real (or more popular model names) on the net.
Also the full videos are named the same so you have to rename them one by one when downloading. Very irritating.

Thanks Slutty, I wouldn't say it was the main reason I was joining, just saw it as icing on the cake. The scene I was mainly looking for is of a very firmly built 18 or 19 year brunette going into a sauna with a guy, while the ceiling cam caught the action. I'll find it eventually! I saw samples of it on a TGP site but don't remember any copyrights on it to lead me to the site it was on. Looking at the style of it though it looked definitely European so I guess I'll dig through more European teen sites trying to find it.

I'm not sure exactly what the poll question is asking.
But I think that when PU members spend money on a porn paysite, they are hoping for, or expecting, that they will get at least reasonable value for that money. That means the site should be easily accessible, easy to navigate, with contents that have both quantity and quality.
If the site contents (the videos and photos) are crap, or it is difficult to access the contents because of poor download speeds, or lousy navigation or other problems, then the PU member will feel he has wasted his money.
I am still trying to feel my way to what the poll question means: "Do you feel some users overthink thier porn?"
I doubt that many of us try to study porn like some people study the bible. But we certainly spend time trying to organize our porn collection. Which can take a bit of thought. That would be well spent, because a disorganized mess of a collection is extremely difficult to search through after the collection becomes large. And it's very easy for a porn collection to keep growing over time. You have to prune and weed out the junk, and organize what you have. Which takes time and thought.
Some of the more intelligent and thoughtful and organized PU members should take pity on the rest of us and create a software program that will let us organize our porn collection more easily. That way, we could spend less time trying to keep the files organized and more time enjoying the contents.
But, in general, I do not believe most PU members overthink their porn. They spend a lot of time trying to collect it, and some time trying to organize it, and maybe some time trying to enjoy it. And where is the time left to think about it, after all those other activities take up what is, after all, only a hobby?
I don't know anyone who really studies their porn like people who study great literature or great art.
Porn is more for enjoyment, rather than for study, I believe. Like popcorn movies are made for enjoyment, rather than for study.

The navigation is somewhat buggy. Sometimes when browsing DVD's it only gives a very limited set in the dropdown menu and sometimes works fine. There's agood amount of categories to use in browsing but the tags are not always correct.
I agree with reviewer to some degree, HD issue is a real bummer. While I very much like the option of streaming, it is an option only sometimes.

Excellent review and you are right on in your comments, slutty. I made the mistake some time ago of signing on long term and was never so sorry because it was the same old, same old, day after day with the updates and I was never happier than when my subscription ran out! They grossly neglect anything but Gonzo style porn. Some of the niches I like had their last update in 2007!

Thanks, slutty, that's exactly the quality of the scenes I got when I was still a member not so long ago. I was just wondering about the HD because it plays such a prominent part on their sign up page, there is a streaming video that compares ordinary scenes with "premium" HD scenes and the difference in quality is obviously startling. Just wondering if I overlooked something new. If you get the time check their sign up page and you'll see what I'm getting at.
