Hmm - I guess we need multiple options; having said that, although I work in IT, I'm not much of a gadget freak.
I'll get a new phone when there's an Android 4 one that looks good; all else will survive the year although I'm planning to put an SSD in my computer.

My computer is fast enough, my TV's are big enough, my phone does all I need it too, I already own the game consoles that I want. So most likely nothing...

Maybe a Kindle but that's about it. I've got a pretty modern computer, an Ipad is not a toy I can afford, I have a Blue-ray, I have a HDTV, and I don't own a cellphone nor do i plan on buying one.

Maybe extra space (yet another external) - maybe...
Alas, those vid-files are getting larger and larger - a bit strange, because you can get just as fine viewing quality at less size.....do they (some sites) want to show off with extremely large files ....well, no need - I'm not impressed....(sorry about going further than the question probably was meant).

I'm with BadMrFrosty
I'm ok at the moment, I was going to get an ipad but then thought, whats really the point I prefer the size of my big monitor, my desktop holds much more, I can have all I need to it, loads under a minute.
Don't really want to buy any more hard drives cause enough is enough I guess, I might as well get rid of stuff I don't watch first. so no I'm not planning on anything.
Oh and very skint at the moment which doesn't help lol.

I do agree here, I can watch a movie of around 600-1000 mb and it is fine and high quality, I hate these 2.5gb or more, its just one movie and might be average anyway, I'd rather it take less room from my hard drive so like around 600 mark but if looks great I might go for 1000 mark one.

A new computer. I bought a cheap one last time because it could do most of what I wanted it to do but I miss being able to play the latest games because the present one has a graphics chip rather than a good card.

Exactly - a lot of sites are into 2,5-5 Gb for a 15/20 minutes vid....it's a nuisance...and no need.

I'd like to buy a new camera body, my current Nikon D50 is quite old and only rated at 6.1 megapixels, so I'd like to upgrade to the new D7000 - 16 MP, yay! I just got a Ring Flash, so we'll see how that works out, but I might pick up some more goodies soon... who knows?

I'm not planning on buying anything, but with a six-year-old PC I may end up replacing that anyway.

Unless your PC is really stone age and bad you should be able to get away with just dropping a up-to-date graphics card in and be able to play the latest games without a problem. Even if you have a onboard graphics chipset rather than a discrete card you can still upgrade as the system should turn off the onboard stuff when a graphics card is plugged in. The guts of my PC (memory, cpu, motherboard etc) are getting on for 5 years old but upgrading the graphics card has allowed me to play whatever I want.

I am not planning to buy anything. My current PC, built in 2004, still serves me well. It will not play 1080p video but, until photos cease to be available and 720p video has vanished into the dark ages, I am not really bothered. My phone makes phone calls and I do not want any pads or pods and I have never owned a TV. I already have five DSLRs so I don't need any more of those :-)

I dropped my laptop in the street - it still works but with a crack on the side and the volume controls haven't worked quite right since!
So I guess a new laptop might be required - I've also bought the external hard drive I've been meaning to buy for ages to back up all my porno just in case!
I also might get a new phone - I lost my old Android smartphone (yup - I'm a very careless guy!) and still had six months to run on my contract so I had to buy a very basic phone to replace it.
Now my contract is up I am entitled to renew and get a new phone - though I have to say the call sound quality is much better on the handset that cost me £10 than the smartphone which was worth hundreds!
My trusty old CRT Sony TV still has a great picture - I actually prefer them to modern LCD/Plasmas so no plans to replace it or to get a Blu-Ray player either.
Can't stand Kindles or other e-book readers - it's real books for me thanks!
Not interested in an iPod either - CDs for me!
Old-fashioned guy here!

Thanks, BadMrFrosty. I am too nervous about taking a computer apart but maybe a computer shop in my area might install a good graphics card for me. Probably an Nvidia with lots of memory. Should still be cheaper than a new computer. I had no idea that I could do that. I figured once an Intel graphics chip was part of the mother board that was it.

CDs, what are those? I only listen to music on vinyl!
Seriously though, you carry CDs around with you when you go on trips and such? I used to find that such a nuisance, it is nice to have it all right there. If you ever get one, just don't get any of the HDD ones, they never seem to last - especially given your apparent clumsiness!
In regard to the poll, I hope I don't need to replace anything this year, the laptop is getting a little beat up, but I think I can get it to last a bit longer.

No current plans for any of the listed. I think I have everything imaginable already and everything is up to date.

I have everything I need, so I doubt it.
If anything breaks, it will be repaired or replaced.

I suppose I'd have to say getting a new set of phones. The family of three I now have whose seemingly short factory-set life span, common to modern standards, is yielding to it's failings enternal batteries and is now in terminal mode wherein needs are they join the others I've had that's gone on to a premature demise.
Generally, As is now with electronic equipment purchases, I'm soundly puzzled why the cost of a simple battery transplant is more costlier than buying anew. Go figure.

I don't really have any plans to buy anything at the moment, I don't like my current phone and would like a new one but my contract still has a year to run so i'll have to put up with it a while longer yet as I don't really pay for my phones anyway, just sign a new contract and the phone is usually free.

Unless they bring out some crazy new device that can do everything my PC can and also cooks me breakfast I'm good for a while ;)
Seriously after I got a Nook tablet for my comics, books and porn I really don't see the need for yet another device...
