I tend to quickly scan set thumbnails on the site, then download what I like the look of. Suspect I delete about 20% thereafter.

I estimate that I keep about 30% of what I've downloaded

So far I've kept everything even slightly worth keeping. Although I've given thought about some mass deletions since stuff from some sites I never even think about anymore.

I probably keep about 50% of what I download, with 30% that I don't like being deleted after the first watch, and a further 20% being deleted when I have tidy-ups or need to save space.

I try to avoid downloading anything that doesn't appeal.
Thanks to the steady spread of the implementation of user defined zips, it is that much easier these days.

I used to store everything I downloaded. Now I only keep the stuff I've watched twice or more.

I rarely download anything I haven't previewed, therefore it's rare I delete anything, but if it turns out that the entire scene isn't what I thought it was I may do occasionally.

I can't bring myself to delete anything. I did that once, back in the days of VHS tapes, and have spent a long time trying to replace some of that.

I delete very little because I'm very picky on what I download so I have a lot less housekeeping to do after the fact.

I used to delete about 50% of it after getting a good look. Now I think I delete closer to 20%.
Have been in enough crises of storage space over the years to know better than to just download and forget.

Just as I never watch our non-HD channels on TV anymore, so I can't stand to watch anything that is not at least 720p (in videos) or super high resolution (in pictures). No sentimentality here, if it doesn't look good on a modern monitor it is gone! Probably because I don't collect models but rather what turns me on.
A bit of hyperbole here, because I do keep SOME older stuff if it is extra hot, but otherwise my comment is mostly true.

I like to download almost everything from a site so there is always a ton of stuff that needs deleting. I just can't get myself to use streaming.

I'm the same as rearadmiral, I can't bring myself to delete anything. I have the photo sets from every site i've joined in the last 10 years stashed away on external drives, I have the attitude that i've paid for it so I want to keep it.

I'm like pinkerton, keep probably 30-40% or so depending on the site.

I used to hoard but I have recently started keeping only the stuff I will actually want to watch again.

Once every year or so I realize I've accumulated so much as a porn-hoarder that I simply toss EVERYTHING in the dumpster, re-format my external hard drives and start the hunt for porn all over from scratch. For a day or two every year my storage devices are "porn free."
Then I start all over again. Each time I promise myself I will only collect the best and will keep it extremely well-organized. Each time I fail and go back to downloading more than I could possibly watch. Next year......

I keep almost everything that I download because I am very choosy about what I download. My downloads are nearly all photos and I collect models. I only like about 10% of models on any site so those are the only ones whose photos I download. I would perhaps download a video for 10% of those, i.e. for 1% of all models.
One thing I do delete is unwanted photos within a set. Even when sites have custom zips, I find it hugely quicker and easier to download the whole photo set, display the thumbs in ACDSee, select the ones to delete and hit the delete key once. Since I am never anywhere near my ISP's download limit, I find this is the best way. I have experimented with custom zips but found it very much slower than the ACDSee method. I suppose I delete about 30% of the contents of every set I download but only rarely do I need to delete a whole set.

How close is Answer 2 from Answer 4? Isn't that like the glass half full or empty?

Takes me forever to review everything I download and weed out what should go. (it's tough work but I'll volunteer for it anytime). I'm mostly a download now and figure it out later kind of surfer.

I download only what I'd like to see and keep it, if I'm disappointed, because the scene wasn't what I expected, I delete it.
