Good way to keep your porn safe and secure.

Hi guys I asked Khan if I could post a program I have been using it is called WinMend Folder Hidden,

I have had it about two week and did a virus Male-ware scan and it came up clean on my pc. I installed on Win7 Ultimate and it works well.

Description

WinMend Folder Hidden is a free file/folder hiding tool. While ensuring the absolute system safety, this application can quickly hide files and folders on local partitions and/or on removable devices. The hidden files/folders will be safely hidden whether the drive is accessed in another operating system on the same computer or reinstalled on another computer. You can set a password for this application. Hidden data can be displayed and unhidden only when the user enters the valid password. The data is completely invisible to other programs or on other operating systems. However, please keep in mind that this application is for home use only. Its not recommended for commercial settings where more strict confidentiality is required. Supports Language: English, French, German, Hungarian, Spanish, Dutch, Arabic, Greek, Korean, Itanlian, Slovak, Vietnames.
Features

I have tried both Windows explorer and Xplorer2 and other ways to find the folder that are hidden and so far nothing was found. It can be found at :
http://www.winmend.com/folder-hidden/

This is a free program, there are other programs on this site I have not used or tested. It did not eat up any resources appears to work on xp through Win7 .
But I only tested on Win7.

Anyways now my collection is safe from searches and snoops . Its like they do not exist. Other programs appears to hide them, but if you are clever you can find them, so far this one hides it very well. Not CIA well, but prying eyes and snoops easily can not even have a clue. Nice thing is even if hidden file or drive, it can still be accessed by downloaders and movie player already qued up.

I love it , can use varied passwords per drive or file and there can be a main password to even open the program to begin with. The fact it is free and no ads is great.

I do not endorse this, I can only say it worked great for me, please make sure you back up before trying any software you are concerned of.

CT

PS would like to hear if others use it. Since 2007 Edited on May 12, 2012, 01:33pm

Though I've used third-party file security software in the past (and was disappointed), these days I use the poor man's method of porno protection: a folder with a misleading name clustered among several other non-porn-named folders that are all inside at least some other folder named something like "Work Stuff" or "Ideas" or "Old Records."

Of course, all one has to do is search my hard drive for strings such as "nice ass" or "OMFG" and the material sought will be immediately extruded from the depths of semantic dissimulation.

And thus the ball is on the other side of the court. Someone's going to have some explaining to do! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

That was my practice too Drooler,
Thats why I started looking, not that it would be a huge shocker, but I think if I passed away and left all this here and maybe someone other then the MRS found it, well I decided to be proactive.

I guess I haven't been thinking too much about the implications of scandal should my stash be discovered post mortem. Well, I think of Marion Barry, Elliot Spitzer, Gary Hart, etc., public figures who did or did not ultimately recover from scandal. Me? I'm not even a blip on the big screen.

I also think that you believe there is a qualitative shift of some sort when the content moves from the Internet, where it is widely -- you might even say "publicly" -- available, to one's personal hard drive to some deleterious effect. I'm not prying for an answer, but I can't think of one myself for myself. Maybe I'm just too reckless.

And after all, I'll be dead. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I figure that when I die, whoever looks at my porn stash, will think, "What a pervert", or maybe, "At his age, he's still looking at this stuff?"

And then they will throw the hard drives into the trash.

Lol.

Hey Drooler,

I lol, I too am not on the blip really, I mean most people know I love film and movies and am and avid photographer so the content would not be the surprise. I think the sheer size why nothing compared to many collections, my bulk of storage is related to this and only 10% to my own films and photos.

I guess I tend to care not what people think of me, but what people might think about the people that are close to me. We have all seen the innocent mother of a convicted murder, that is the bad guy in some way by association. I just do not want to force my hobby on those left behind to explain and deal with after all I wont be here to defend them. I never ever have illegal content. But my colorful past would or could put my closest loved ones at uncomfortable situation if nothing horrible just if I could lock it up all the better.

Oh, holy fucking shit, we'll be JUDGED by other people! I thought that death would relieve at least some of that.

"He's still looking at this stuff?" Yeah, sounds like what people might say. Then into the trash can (in a nice, water-tight bag, so when no one's looking ....) I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

A porn buddy of mine figures that at my wake my male friends will be anxiously waiting to see who I willed my collection to.

This same friend also gave me instructions on using hidden folders to hide you stash. There are obvious limitations using this method because the folder is still accessible if you know where / how to look, but for the casual user who glances at your hard drive they see nothing instead of seeing your folder titled "Hot teen anal sex."

This is deceptively simple and effective.

I use pretty much the same strategy as rearadmiral. Does turning on 'show hidden files and folders' expose your hidden files CT, or is it something a bit more robust? Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.
Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.

Those who are close to me and would probably be the first to turn on my computer after I'm gone, are already aware that I like porn, so I wouldn't need a hidden folders program. I did use one back in the 90's though.

Nothing on my puter is hidden and the desktop has nipples

When I die, they'll probably send in a Haz-Mat team unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is gonna suck.

If were to go suddenly I honestly think my new born nephew would be an old man by the time he finished browsing through my collection. Those who would dare to venture into my labyrinth smut would not emerge the same person. They would likely look something like THIS.

Generally speaking, no point in hiding it. It does not have to be out in the open but I would not make much effort to prevent people from finding it.

I might interest you in a system with a second power supply that only runs a set of HDDs. They drives would only come online when the second supply is active. A second option is use your current supply and mount a SWITCH similar to the one in the link. Thus only providing power when you want them online. The two things to keep in mind here is you need to do some slight case modification and you need to be able to hot swap, otherwise you will need to reboot when you turn the drive on. Making them physically offline is the best way and still offers some convenience for you. What I tried and worked well was hiding drives in folders then using this program hid the folder that is 2 TB in size.
I do not need to hot swap as they are not even on my screen and a search wont find it.

It password protects the drive as well so if a person finds it they can not access it. Since 2007

No , and I thought it was as most I found just exploited windows vulnerabilities. However using third part explorers or a dos boot wont find my drives.

I highly advise putting your extra drives if anyone has them in folders then hide the folder. My pc looks like it has a 500mb hard drive when in reality it has 4 tb's.
Even looking up the drive the folder is hidden will not find the size hidden. Just the drive that is holding the folder not whats in it and it can not see it anyways. I have tried a few ways to find the drive and nothing yet in two weeks. I love how the program is password protected even opening that and then you can password protect the folder with any passwords you choose.

I happen to use this program for one reason only, really not to hide it as much as making sure I am aware where all my porn is. I have more then once opened a file manager to see spread legs of the place I closed. Since 2007

The bedroom at my parents place would be visible from the moon even in daylight. "For example, badandy400 has taken it upon himself to become the one man Library of Congress for porn with a collection that surely will be in Guinness Book of World Records some day." ~Toadsith~

I feel no need to hide my porn, primarily because I'm the only one that has access to my computer and because I'm fairly open about the fact that I look at porn.

This is not a judgment, but I found it interesting so many people are very open to their porn usage.
I guess I am more old school ?

I posted the pots, thinking some might want to keep something private, I was surprised Since 2007
