They list updates as recently as May 2010, but the thumbnails and preview videos look years older. Kind of a buyer beware situation. Still, it's not a lot of money, I guess. Edit: SCRATCH ALL THAT! If you actually click through, there's no $9.95/mo option. The cheapest you can get is 90 days for $39.95. MET, for instance, has gone a bit overboard with them, though. They put them on just about every thumbnail page now, and they're hard to ignore. MET's cams were subcontracted to people who will not be involved with the new site. The new site is affiliated with Streamate. Yeah, I've been holding off on a follow-up, since this is still up in the air. Originally, the old site was to come down at the end of this month, and now they've given members up to August 15 to spend any remaining credits or buy new ones, using the old met-cams.com site. To me, that means that the response to the new site has been overwhelmingly negative. All in all, it is nice to see that MET is listening to its members, and wants to keep us happy, even if that means making a U-turn with regards to its cam site plans. 06-23-10  05:08am Reply 57 N/A Reply of Colm4's Poll I went the other way actually, from "No", to "Maybe". Met-cams.com will cease to exist at the end of this month, and its replacement, metcams.com has already opened for business. From the looks of it, the new site is basically the same as Streamate.com, which is already listed here. There's at least one model who is currently online at both sites. I prefer it that way, to be honest. The models don't have a very good grasp of English for the most part, and double entendres are generally wasted on them. Besides, you can get access to the chats with a trial account and a lot of people attending have a drink or two in them. There's only one chat going on at one time and there are a LOT of people attending some of them. I've been a member on and off since MET was Most Erotic Teens and been steady for close to 4 years now. The thing that's kept me subscribed are the cam shows. There used to be fewer models and two-hour shows, and now there are many more models doing one-hour shows. As far as I'm concerned, the free cams are worth the subscription price alone. The shows are super-softcore (no genital touching) and conversation is strictly monitored, so if you like your porn polite, this is a plus. The shows (like the photo sets, come to think of it) are a bit uneven, but there are ratings in place to guide you. Less popular models don't get booked as often, or at all after a while. Some models have been with MET for years and they never disappoint. Others are students and look it, and they also act like it. Some have photo sets, although they don't always get the best photographers, since they are often not professional models and often live in out of the way locations. English is not the first language of any of the current models, who speak either Russian, Romanian or Tagalog so chat can be hit or miss in the public shows. If you decide to spring for a one-on-one chat, they use Google translation, which goes a long way. Keep in mind that the private shows are meant to be as softcore and polite as the public ones, although chat is *not* monitored. You can also do two-way voice chat in private shows. The time I've spent there has saved me a ton of money I might have spent elsewhere, and I have some fond memories of a few sweet, beautiful models who have gone on to other things. How many places do you get to look up the butt of a hot model who remembers your nick? For.Free. Even though there are more models each doing fewer public shows each now, it's still the kind of personal experience I've not come across anywhere else. Anyway, I just thought I'd give a shoutout to the very lovely and friendly cams models at MET, since they are a really nice bonus on top of the pictures and vids. NB: The cams are being upgraded as we speak and will *supposedly* become available again as of June 11. It's worth noting, however, that the updates appear to be coming every 2-3 days pretty steadily these days as opposed the every 3-4 days previously. I like the content very much, and I don't regret joining. I'm a big fan of slender models doing girl/girl and solo and good photography, so this site seemed ideal for me. The content is a lot like MET-Art's, but the models are allowed to go where we always wished MET would let their models go and look great doing it. I can't think of any site that has better looking models *and* makes its models look better, MET included, cept perhaps Explicite-Art. As other reviewers have stated, both the videos and the photo sets are short, and it's hard to tell why. The shoots take a long time to set up, and the models seem into it, and yet things are wrapped up awfully quickly, with a few exceptions. It often seems like such a gratuitous waste, and that may be the only negative I've found. You're kind of left thinking that there's a longer, less chopped-up version that's being sold elsewhere. While I can't recommend a long-term commitment at this point, it's certainly worth a month's sub, to me anyway. I reckon that I got my 20 bucks worth, and will keep an eye on it to see if it might be worth a return visit later on.
