As any industry matures, there are ups, downs, advances and closures. New technology often acts as a propellant, taking an industry farther. For this industry, the smaller, poorly funded or one-man players have generally been absorbed or closed. Many of the established sites of the '90s, and some from the 00's were bought-out and run into the ground in the name of profit. Once dominant brands, like Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler are now practically on life support. This is how any industry works. New, innovative companies succeed and Luddites, poor products, poorly managed and underfunded companies fail.
What we are seeing now is a consolidation of the established porn channels into stable, high quality networks. There are still plenty of niche sites out there, but they will only survive until their owners give up, retire or sell out.
But this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Although the high-glam porn of the 80's and 90's is probably long gone, there are plenty of new things to experience and look forward to. With higher download speeds, video resolution continues to get better. (Heck, All porn is HD now. Comcast is still 90% 480P!) Quality improves. And new technologies like live web chatting and Virtual Reality provide opportunities that consumers have never seen before. (I'm not a big fan of web chats, but try a VR Web chat...It is amazing!) The fact that these technologies require capital and a new skill set bolsters the importance of new players on the production side.
The politics of porn is interesting, too. Some 50% of the connected PLANET watches it according to some statistics (Chive, maybe). Mainstream political groups don't even discuss it. Heck, Trump HAS to watch porn. He probably even has investments in it. With all the other crap he has on the table, making America button its blouse is SO not an issue. Besides, as an industry , porn is well organized and it spans borders.
So...better. Definitely better.
I see two threats to porn and they aren't what you think. The first is that in a connected world, models may become more concerned with the consequences of modeling and decide not to do it. Fortunately, there are many societies outside the US where nudity is not a big deal, so that is where we will continue to find models.
The other issue is an odd legal one. There are several predatory patent lawsuits going on in the porn industry where one sleazy company is sueing small porn producers over patent infringements. The patent is a very basic one that covers broadcasting video over the internet to groups of people. If the patent owner sued Youtube or Google, those companies have enough money to have the patent deemed unenforcible. But the patent owners go after small companies that don't have the resources to do that. It is total bullshit, but a few porn sites have paid-up and/or closed because of it.
Thanks! I try to be as detailed as possible and when I run into something that is far from the norm, good or bad, I like to elaborate. This one had some cool features, but compared to the leaders out there, the quality just wasn't there.
Your term conventionally attractive is perfect. Very few 18-24 year- olds are not attractive in some way. But very few look like Anjelica or Malena Morgan. Very hard to describe that without sounding like a complete ass.
You should get a set of Google cardboard glasses for your Android or iPhone, just to try it. There are a few sites that will send you a pair for free when you sign up. VR is very cool, but using a full-blown VR headset takes a little more effort than just sitting down at your desk or whatever.

CzechVR is part of a larger group called Mentalpass. It includes two other VR sites CzechVR Casting and CzechVR Fetish and 6 non VR sites . In total there are about 200+ VR Videos here. That is a very large number for a VR site/network.
One interesting thing they do here is what I'll call the missionary mimic. Basically, the girl lays down and the VR camera moves forward very close over her. She makes appropriate sounds and moves as though the viewer is mounting her. Then she gyrates up and down as though being fucked. The technique is sometimes used in those solo simulated sex sites and it is an interesting experience in a VR setting. The only issue is that the camera moves, which can be unsettling in VR. When done well I'm sure it can be very satisfying.
The other thing that they have here are VR fetish videos. This includes virtual face sitting, fisting, nylons, latex, peeing/pee-play and girls getting golden showers from the male participant. If you are into those things and you have VR equipment, this is a pretty good place to get it. I grabbed a couple of the face-sitting videos and was highly entertained. The rest are not my taste.
That said, as much as I would like to say this is a great site, it falls short in a couple of key areas.
First, the girls are all young and some are quite beautiful, but several are not conventionally attractive. Some are a little large and/or flat-chested for porn roles and some have a (politely) average look. Combine this with oddly done make-up, poor dental work and occasional hygiene issues and this makes a few of the videos difficult to watch. I was asking things like "Where did this girl get her neon eye shadow?..." Some girls also "pull faces" which didn't help. Now, to be fair, I'm a white American. What the fuck do I know about the tastes of people in other countries? Nothing.
This site also illustrates how prevalent tattoos are in eastern Europe. There are also some unusual piercings in places that I have not seen before. Again, these are all things that distract from the scenes. I should be enjoying the scene, not wondering what something tattooed on a girl says.
Only about a third of the videos are participatory. The rest are observing sex, have the girl masturbating or are lesbian scenes with no male participant. Somebody here doesn't get VR. I do not want to be watching, I want to be DOING!
The sets vary a lot in location, lighting and quality. There were a few scenes where the VR perspective (i.e. the camera) moved unexpectedly. In VR, this can be VERY disorienting. Many scenes have unexpected noises that make you want to pull off your VR gear to see what's happening in your room or who is at the door. Table and bed thuds, sirens outside, things dropping and noises that simply shouldn't be there. This was VERY distracting. Several sets also had distracting things within view. I found myself looking around far more often than I should have been.
To be fair, the majority of the models are pretty good looking and they seemed like they were enjoying themselves. But a few almost seemed to be in pain... When a girl looks to be in pain and never takes the guy all the way in, the scene can be unpleasant to watch. Culture, maybe...
Several of the girls spoke English, but a few spoke native (Czech?). I was guessing which line was "Do you want me to take my bra off?" and which was "I want you to fuck me!" Sometimes it was pleasant. Sometimes not.
Bottom line? Well....The fetish stuff is interesting and there are some pretty good videos here, but given the huge volume of VR videos here, the overall score is a little disappointing. You will have to sift through a lot to find the good ones. Those websites that list CzechVR among the top 10 porn VR sites clearly haven't looked lately. The site has some videos out on Pornhub if you want to sample them. After seeing some of the best VR the internet has to offer elsewhere, I have a hard time recommending this site for the general porn viewer. You decide
I just spent $10 at Gamelink to download a VR video of Megan Rain. Looked OK so I thought I'd try it. (I do not normally buy pay-per-download services because they usually suck, but I thought I would try this one and write about it here.... Ha!) It took 3 HOURS for the 5 gig file to download and 2 hours along the download failed. I tried to restart it but could not so I started over. While waiting I decided to take a look at the piece that had already downloaded. Opening credits? BADOINK! It was a Badoink video! I went back and looked and there in tiny text one one of the pages it says studio: BadoinkVR. My Badoink subscription just expired and this video was new. So this file was either authorized by Badoink or stolen and loaded here so somebody could make some money. Either way, selling the video on a pay-per-download website is an INCREDIBLY SLEAZY thing to do. I'll be reaching out to the Badoink webmasters to let them know. Be very careful to check the attribution on these videos. You may be MUCH better off just going to the source web site.
Update: I heard back from support at Badoink that they use Gamelink VR to "market" some of their videos. Well, that really sucks and is incredibly disappointing. When a web site places their material on Pornhub, you can preview it and it is incredibly clear where the material is from. Here, there is no preview, you get a couple of pictures and it isn't really obvious where the material is from. And the download speeds are SO BAD. So I'm still saying don't waste your money here. If you can tell where a video is from, just go to that site.
Looking at the join pages and teaser videos, this seems like another site that doesn't quite get the true value of VR. Nearly all of the videos here are observation only. Observation videos are a dime a dozen, don't need to be in VR and some really, really good sites do them. The value of VR is in PARTICIPATION videos and the best VR sites have figured this out. Am I missing something here? Has anybody joined this site and can tell me there are some great videos here?
I'm looking at the teaser pages and this really looks a little rough to me. Seems like a collection of vids where the actresses and sets are from the champagne room of a Montreal strip club. A.K. giving this one a 78 seems very optimistic considering how he has scored some of the other better VR sites. Has anyone signed up?

If this were a freestanding VR site, it would easily be in the top 5. The fact that it comes with an entire network of other good quality material puts it up there in the top 3.
Video quality is very good to excellent. The sets are reasonably well done, although many of the shoots look like they take place in somebody's apartment. There are no significant distractions on set. The models young, attractive, are well directed and they look like they are enjoying themselves for the most part. (A few girls I've never seen before look almost mad...probably just a Russian cultural thing.) A few of the videos are kind of silly (i.e. Nicole Love wearing a Pokeman robe/hoodie/costume thing), but they still are not that hard to watch. (Nicole is in another set that more than makes up for it.)
There are a couple of videos here that are really, really excellent. Paula Shy, for example, provides a very impressive performance in a VR video called "Bangin' Bookworm" that will leave you totally satisfied. I would easily put that one on my top ten list of the 450 or so VR videos that I have collected so far. There are one or two other top-ten and/or top-twenty VR vids here, too.
One thing I noticed here that I don't see everywhere else was some pretty high-energy screwing going on. The sex often starts slow and then gets crazy intense. (No shortage of seriously flailing boobs or totally slapping crotches here...) In some scenes it seems like, I don't know, these couples were actually trying to get each other off. That is nice to see and, you know, be a part of.
Every model provides both a passive VR video where she gets off in front of you and a more active one where you screw her (or more accurately, she rides you.) These come in sort of a set with the observation video first and teh participation video a few releases later. Most videos have you lay prone and you remain that way with no switch to an upright, active position. A few models have more than one complete set.
There are more tattoos here than I've seen on the other high quality VR sites including at least one huge back-covering tattoo. One of the surrogate guys has a large chest tattoo also. These are all OK, but they distract a little from the action. "What is that thing supposed to be on her back" or "Hey! Look! I have a tattoo!" are not things I want to be thinking about when a VR girl is bouncing on my dick, but here it happens. Oh well.
Although I said I would not bring up the other TMW sites, there are a couple of pros and cons.
On the pro side, all of the VR videos come in an HD non-VR 2-D version also. If you are into full POV but don't have VR gear, you just hit the jackpot because by their nature, these are awesome POV videos.
On the con side, you will often get tossed into the general pool when searching or browsing and the only way to tell if the video is VR is by looking at the watermark. Similarly, once a model is identified on a video detail page, her other videos also show up at the bottom of the page, but most will probably not be VR videos.
This is a great thing if you really like the model and want to see more of her. Not so great if you are just looking for VR stuff.
Just for comparison, the TMWVR VR videos are generally better than the TMW non-VR videos. This may be because they are newer, because they are better directed, or because the skill set of the crew is better. I'm not sure. They are just better. Given the requirements, they probably should be.
Bottom line? $20 for a site that includes 60+ VR videos PLUS thousands of non-VR items is a no-brainer! And as I said, the quality here is generally very good. Go for it! I recommend it!
Ah. My bad. I read X-Art and thought MetArtX. I wrote an X-art review back in 2012 and haven't been a member since 2015, so it looks like it is time to rejoin! Sinc X-Art and Colette are part of the same group, it is entirely possible that some of the sets are duplicates.
I'm a current member of TMW and, again, you are absolutely correct. I'm not sure where I was looking but I must have been confusing it with something else I had open at the time....or I was having a stroke. It was only 9:00 so alcohol or sleep deprivation could not have been the culprits.

Just to clarify, the $60 lifetime thing is contingent on maintaining one membership. So I'm paying $10 a month for one of the sites but have access to all of them. If/when I quit that one site, I will lose access to the other sites too. It is kind of a gimmick, but it seems worth it.
Looking around a little more, I do see a few common models on Colette and Met Art. Heck, I just found Leah Gotti on Met Art from 2015 (disappointing sets of her, though, considering she has quickly become a really popular, full blown, do everything porn star now...interracial 5 guy gang bang on Colette? I'm more crushed than curious.) But I am still sure they are not sharing material. I may join Colette since it looks interesting and I haven't before.
I wrote a review for Passion HD several years ago and was just reading through yours when I realized I'm a current member! I joined POVD a while back and, not satisfied with the infrequent updates, went ahead and paid the $70 for the one-time fee to join the whole network. I wrote reviews for POVD and Tiny4K that included some comments about passion HD, I think. Just be sure you are paying the smallest monthly fee you can, then buy the one-time ticket.
I also wanted to let you know they have a new site in the network package called "holed.com" that is probably, um, right up your alley. It is a brand new site that only has 24 scenes, but some of them are really good and I'm not into anal. And you already know the network has some great and very popular young US models. There are some other anal scenes in the network in POVD and Lubed also. The best thing about joining the network is that there are often one or two updates a day and the quality is very consistent across the board.

I am 99.9% sure that the material at Met Art X exclusive. It is not the same stuff at Colette and TMW. MetartX uses many of the same European models as Met Art and, with the possible exception of Nancy, I have seen none of these models at TMW. TMW is primarily US porn models. I have not been a member of Colette, but it looks like those are mostly US porn models also. If you look at the model listing and check names against Indexxx, you will see that these TMW/Colette girls might be at ALSScan, but I didn't see any at MetArt or MetArtX. There are a few models that might be at both, but it isn't the same material. Now...I do see a couple of lesser Met Art models at WTF, but that is not too surprising since WTF is a European site that collects material from all over. I have never seen any authorized Met Art network material on any sites outside of their network, so I am pretty sure that it isn't the same material there, either.
So....for those WTF-ers out there. VR videos are 3d, and have a 180 or 360 view. You sit or stand there and look around and it feels a lot like you are in the room. So they are highly immersive. When you watch, you are essentially there with the model/models. Think of it as POV in steroids. Many sites really take advantage of the format and get pretty creative. I call participation the vids in which you actively have sex or the model/actress is doing something to you, like (nearly) sitting on your face. Masturbation or observation are the ones where you just watch. To me, the masturbation videos are OK, but they do not really do the format justice. On Sexbabes-VR, for example, Watching Paula Shy get herself off is nice, but screwing her in full VR is simply amazing.
If you have not tried this format, go buy a google cardboard for your phone and give it a try! There are plenty of free samples on Pornhub. I think VR eventually will do at least as much for porn as the VCR did!
I'm originally from south Florida but now I live in Pennsylvania, so I REALLY miss the boating and the beach. I think if I had a chance between one or two CORRECT camera angles and multiple camera angles, I would choose correct angle. In most videos, changing the camera location is common as positions change, etc. But a lot of amateur-style videos really don't shoot from the correct location. Thank god the trend of stylized shooting in an all-white back-lit room seems to be waning.
Lately, I've been into VR videos and most of those are, of course, shot from one or two POV angles (i.e. girl on top, cowboy, or girl in front, missionary or doggie). Some shoots manage to screw this up, but you really start to appreciate how difficult it is to shoot everything from the correct POV.
Has anyone ever heard of ECHST? I just signed up for an additional site in the network and was charged to join the site and ALSO charged to join Met-Art again, even though I'm already an annual member. Unlike EPOCH and CCBill, I did not get any conformation emails from ECHST. The only way I knew about it was the credit card charge. I sent a note to Met Art Support, who is usually very good about this type of thing, but have not yet heard back.
I just joined again to pull down their VR content and, yes, you are absolutely right. Lots and lots of body graffiti. Some of it is OK but most is over the top. I've said it before and I'll say it again, girls in porn that get tattoos absolutely don't understand why guys are watching them have sex. "Wow, I really love trying to read that poem on your shoulder while watching you give head" said no guy ever!
Personally, I think there is a limit to how much talking is good. I usually like the polite, come hither, asking and acceptance approach most. A girl tersely telling me exactly what to do or where to do it is not my style. But there are exceptions. Sasha Grey was a non-stop dirty-talk babbler. I did a review several years ago and decided to refresh it since Goddess Nudes is now a full blown member of the Met-Art network. A few things haven't changed but many have.
This site has about 8 years photo sets at about 5 updates a week. The models are generally Eastern European and a few have been on Met-Art, but the vast majority of models here are NOT ones that you see on other network sites. Some are quite attractive. Interestingly, I was unable to find a few models that were here before, like Mila I from Met-Art....not sure why.
One thing that I noticed immediately was that when I went to the models tab and sorted by "top rated", only a half-dozen or so out of the top 40 were girls I easily recognized from Met-Art.
The top girls here are more earthy. THEN, starting about 40 girls in, you see Emily Bloom and several others that are also on Met Art.
There is some integration, culling and renaming going on, too, because a few girls are listed more than once with different names, with different sets in each name.
The brand new site overhaul is a HUGE improvement, making the site look and feel much more like the others in the Met-Art community. It brings every feature that Met-Art has to offer including the user definable options like default image size and my favoriate, the "open images in new window" option.
All sets are dated and scored and user tags are available. File names have changed throughout the site to a format that closely matches the Met-Art format. (site, date, model, photographer.) This is great going forward. I may end up with duplicates, but I'll deal with it.
In general, many of the sets are not as polished and the models are not as well made-up as they are on other sites in the Met-Art network, especially the older sets. One significant difference that I think I notice is that there is little or no airbrushing here.
I would define many of these sets as "Naked girl in the woods" sets. There are a lot of indoor sets also. None of them are awful. No dorm rooms, laundromats or cheesy offices but no bazillion dollar LA homes either.
Recent sets, starting in about 2014 are much better quality. That probably coincides with the Met-Art merge. That also coincides with when several of the more popular models started showing up, like Emily Bloom....but have I seen these Emily Bloom sets elsewhere?....possibly.
Also starting in around 2013-2014, I noticed a practice that I truly hate. Melena A is named Mariska on this site. She has a total of two sets here that are one set broken up into 2 releases! 84 images in February of 2014 and another 38 or so in March. This is the only case like this that I see, but it is a practice that I truly despise.
It looks like the older sets have been re-sampled to accommodate the default image size ranges provided for download. Even the oldest images are available in 2400x3700, but the re-sampling has an adverse impact on the quality of those images.
Interaction with the photographer is generally very good, depending on the experience of the model, and many look like they are having a pretty good time. Kudos to the photo crew for that.
In terms of clothing, the models either start out with one or two pieces of clothing and immediately get naked, or they are naked throughout the set. Sets that are more than a few years old are pretty conservative in terms of overall view and close-ups, but the sets have changed a little since Met-Art got involved, so many of the later sets are a little more Met-Art-like in terms of what you see. Still, this is a solo-girl softcore site. If you are looking for spreading, insertions, masturbation, B/G, etc., you won't find it here.
Bottom line? Met-Art is doing a lot to improve this site, but in general it remains kind of a b-side site with a lot of sets that, for whatever reason, either didn't quite make it to the main event or, possibly, where once on other sites in the network. In any case, with 8 years worth of content, there is a lot to look at, but unlike Met-Art, there is not enough here to make me want to stay long-term or even return more then once every couple of years. If you have never been here or have not been here since Met-Art started running things, go ahead and join for the $20 price that is available. If you've been here within the last year or two, you might want to pick a different Met-Art site to visit.
