Heterosexual anal sex is one of the most over-rated, over-used and generally incorrectly portrayed things in porn today. The sequence most commonly used, regular sex, anal sex then a blow job without cleaning up at all, should make anyone watching that isn't into copraphelia gag. Times might be changing but I've never had a partner that enjoyed it, not to mention got off during it. Feel free to chime in if I'm wrong. I could be.
I understand what you are saying about the photos, but the vids? Do you download them or stream them? If I'm downloading material (which I am), what I don't want to do is spend a lot of time sifting through and deleting stuff I don't want. That means I am deleting half of the material in each set because EACH SET includes one of the aforementioned fetish sections. Yes, I like ALS, too, or I wouldn't keep coming back. I like it for the attitude. But each time I sign up, I do it because I forget how ridiculous some of the fetish material is.
You are suggesting that I just skip the part of the video I don't like or skip the images that I don't like. In order to skip them, you have to LOOK at them and looking at stuff you do't like pretty much defeats the purpose of visiting a porn site in the first place. MANY other sites separate out the straight material (in both photos and video) from the more fetish-like. Some even break them out into channels or separate micro-sites. There's no reason why they can't do that here, too. None, other than it would be slightly more difficult for the webmaster (even though he would have more sets to publish)
I like ALS and I enjoy the girls, but they've been using the embroidery hoop for DECADES now. It isn't sexy or erotic and I'm really sick of it. By breaking up the 200+ photo sets or the 25 minute videos, they could cater to their audience much more directly.
That's funny, I always thought the more attractive models always ended up at ALS Angels, at least that's how it was in the beginning. I would read about a popular model's photoshoot in the blog at ALSScan, then I would find out that the shoot was only over on Angels. I even commented about it on one of my early reviews. I suppose this is only a little worse than, say, Met Art listing additional sets of the model you are looking at along the bottom of a page even though many of the sets are on a different site.
In any case, Scan used to be the really young, really skinny, small breasted girl site and Angels was the site where the young, C-cup or better girls and pros went. I think it is still that way to some extent. I do not think there is a D cup anywhere on Alsscan. The delineation is STRICTLY a way to break one site up into two to generate more revenue as the type of material is identical.
Yes, the Caribbean trips were nice. But the industry has changed a lot and I'm guessing good models are much less common and much more expensive these days. I don't know what the contracts looked like back then, but the days of "Hey, I'll fly you to the Caribbean for a week along with 10 other bi/lesbian girls and all you have to do is a couple of photo shoots" is long gone. Now it's probably 10k a week per model regardless of where. Oh well.
AlsScan is affiliated with Met-Art. AlsAngels is not. I think it is pretty clear that the guy who runs these sites has always separated out the models by body type and put the curvier ones on AlsAngels. I wrote reviews years ago mentioning this. I hope he is doing really well with the Met Art arrangement, but for whatever reason, he is keeping ALSAngels for himself so the resources they provided to make the ALSScan site more functional are not available here. I think it is also clear that he has some specific tastes that apparently a large number of people share that are pretty much unique to these two sites.
But, like you, I am completely turned off by some of the bizarre, more clinical things on this site and would be much happier if the huge 200+ image photo sets were broken out into, perhaps, stripping and spreading, maybe masturbation, and whatever else is going on in them. By breaking out the sets, the site could draw people who are just looking for straight nude or sex stuff without forcing them to look at the more extreme items that are present in every single set. Ultimately, I think that compartmentalizing the sets would draw and keep more subscribers. It would also provide an opportunity to break up what is now one huge release into two. Webmaster, I hope you are reading this!
I used to do something similar. I would write my review on the web page, then copy it to word before submitting it. That's just a pain, though, when there are multiple text windows (i.e. pros, cons, bottom line).
I actually have a technique that works really well most of the time. If you maintain two tabs to Pornusers and then check to make sure you are still logged in on the other tab, you will still be logged in when you click submit regardless of how long it has been. The cookie applies to all tabs so if one works, they all will. For some reason I forgot to open another tab when I was writing this review. Eh, stuff happens. :-)
Porn quality is an equation. (GIRL)*(SETTING*IMAGE QUALITY*PHOTOGRAPHER SKILL, TALENT AND RAPPORT WITH MODEL)*(SEVERAL OTHER VARIABLES) If any one of them is a 0, the whole thing is a 0.
Setting means location and lighting. Both have to be good with no major distractions.
There are a few sites that shoot backlit "white room" scenes in front of a window and from about 15 feet away. They are high quality but almost entirely from one angle, the side. These are probably the biggest waste of time and talent I've ever seen.
Chatty photographers or overly vocal actors are easy fix by turning off the volume.
When joining a new site, it takes about 5 minutes on the site to decide if I'm going to want to keep it for more than a month. So I often cancel literally within minutes of joining a site just to make sure I have done it and to avoid any last minute nonsense that sometimes happens at the less disciplined sites. On occasion, the cancel process is convoluted specifically so the site can charge people who wait until the last minute to cancel. MUCH better to cancel and then change your mind than it is to put off decided and get charged for another month that you don't want.
This is a tough question. I download a lot of images and then sift through them when I have time to remove the chaff. There is a LOT of chaff. I also tend to download videos and then only watch or sometimes actually edit them to keep the segments that I want to keep. I'm not into watching girls give head or get anal, so those photos/videos are deleted or skipped. So I keep between 30-40% of what I download.
The majority of trial memberships are just bait to get you for a month. I've had sites charge me for $1 for a trial and then immediately (within seconds) bill me for the "post trial" monthly fee, which is sometimes higher than the regular monthly fee. That's just greedy. All sites should provide enough accurate, honest representative material so that people can decide to join or not without resorting to a trial.
No matter how you do it, managing passwords is a pain. First choice is always to use my own, but even that is a challenge sometimes. And if the billing service doesn't send a confirmation email, then they go off my list of acceptable services.
I agree that it shouldn't matter if your browser keeps track, but not all sites allow the browser to keep the PW.
Cloud service providers have no rights to any of the data you store. They have a fiduciary responsibility to keep it safe just like your bank, credit card companies and merchants have a fiduciary responsibility to keep your money and credit card information safe. Huge lawsuits have resulted from breach of that fiduciary responsibility when people hack into their systems or employees walk away with data. That said, many consumer-level cloud operations limit their liability for LOSS of data. So although they are liable for ensuring nobody else gets your data, they try not to be liable if they accidentally lose it. Only commercial B to B cloud operations are legally obligated to both secure and protect the data (to a very high degree thanks to SOX compliance laws). So if, as a consumer, you use cloud based storage and your stuff gets lost, tough. Thanks but no thanks.
If the question was primarily "do you use the cloud?" I don't. Cloud storage doesn't scale well for...um....our purposes, especially with the latest high res video/VR files getting up there into the 15-25 GB range.
If you are asking about our computer set-ups, well.... I just upgraded with a bunch of 6TB drives and now have a regular desktop, a dedicated VR machine and a server for backups. Desktop has 4 data-only drives (20 TB total, about half for the collection). VR machine has 2 data drives (12 TB), also about half for the collection, mostly VR added since November! The server has 24 TB, incrementally backs up nightly. I have a couple of 6TB drives to install in that one soon. VR files are 5-15 GB each. I also recently went back to many of my regular sites and started pulling images in the highest resolution available and video in 1080 or 4k. As a result, my collection has more than doubled in size in less than 6 months. (And it was pretty big before....)
Oh, and most of my data drives are installed in Istar tray-less removable cages (Newegg) so they can be removed or swapped out through the front of my computers without opening the case. These things are, cheap, awesome, make use of otherwise useless 5 1/4 inch slots, and make any drive "portable". they look pretty cool too!
I was able to get in after changing my password (for no reason). And I got an email back that said "We see you logged in so everything must be OK now." No mention of the fact that my password was changed without my knowledge and I was charged for but didn't log in for 2 months because I thought the account had expired...the usual case when you can't log in using known-good account credentials. But they are in the business of taking my money, so they did, and technically don't have give any back for any reason, so they didn't.
Part of the problem is that the more obscure billing services, like the one that Diesel uses, Vendo Services, aren't on my checklist to review monthly like ccbill and epoch are. At least they send emails, though. One, ECHST, doesn't even send you a confirmation email when you sign up to a site they service or a cancellation when you cancel so you have no record at all of the charge other than the cryptic information on the credit card bill and no proof that a cancellation was processed.
I need to remember to include the billing service in my reviews...
Has anyone else had access issues over the last few months? My original username/password stopped working for no apparent reason and I had to go through the process to create a new, random password to get back in. I'm back in, but am curious to see if others had issues.
I put it in there on a whim. Wanted to see if it made a difference since I've been posting forever and haven't gotten a new trust vote in a long time. I'm about 5 votes short of getting that badge and I think it is the only one I don't have. No big deal. I'll probably pull the request since it seems a little tacky to solicit for votes....
I'm guessing that somebody out there likes the embroidery hoop spreader things they use on this site but I'm curious...do you? The question is a little specific for a survey but if you are a member of this site and don't mind responding, what are your thoughts on it? Ever seen it anywhere else?
The last time I joined Hustler, this site was included in the network. Now I see it is still owned by LFP, but is part of a network that looks like it has a younger overall intended audience. It has been a long, long time since LFP material was top-notch, but I'm sure there is still some good stuff here.
If you put your email into the sign-up page and then back out at the credit card info page, you will eventually get a pretty good offer via email.
I'm looking at this site on the TBP front page and am having a hard time understanding how they can charge $30 a month for 11 sets. There are no full sized samples whatsoever, no dated releases or release schedule and you can't even see what is on the 2nd page of updates. It has the popular stars, but a very, very small number of them.
I'm also a little confused since I can't see the sets...is this a handjob site or full-sex POV like POVD?
Put a $19 promo rate on TBP and I'll join and write a review. Otherwise, $30 can get me hundreds or even thousands of great sets elsewhere, so that's where I'm going.
