For me, there's no single deciding fact when subscribing for a porn site.
The price has to be reasonable, and ideally below $30/month
The content must be a turn on, models attractive etc
The content (especially videos) must be high quality
Updates atleast weekly
Anysite that didn't meat these would have me thinking twice before joining.
If I had to say one, probably the video quality would be the deciding factor (because I'm a collector).

I think B&W pictures would make a nice desktop wallpaper, but for porn usage, colour is the way to go.

I tend to ignore the feed content. It's not what I've joined the site to see, and for the most part it's of questionable quality.
Sure, if I filtered through it all I'm sure I'd find some nice stuff, but there's enough of that in the main content of the site I'd joined anyway.

Most definately Videobox.
In the past 2 years, which is around about how long I've joined pay-for porn, it's the single best site I've ever joined all things considered by a fairly large margin.
Have also joined Abby Winters, which would come a close second.
Either way, both are superb.

Perhaps around 100-150.
I find it irritating when I download a photoset, and many of the pictures are the same, just focuses very slightly differently.
For me, that's a waste of hard drive space.
Quality > Content.

The main source for locating porn sites would definately be TBP.
After hearing good reviews about Videobox from elsewhere and checking out the site, they had a snippet of their TBP review on the front page.. which I checked out.
Glad I did because TBP is truely great. And it's thanks to TBP that I found out about PU!

I usually spend only around $20-30 per month.
It's difficult to say though because sometimes I join a site for a year, which usually means big savings over the monthly rate.

I think anonymous trust ratings are okay if it's a Yes.. but if someone's going to say that they don't trust a user, then they need to provide some sort of reason as to why.
Perhaps it would be better if anonymous trust ratings weren't allowed.
And as people have said, you're going to get people who give you a "No" vote out of spite.

I think so, just like many computer software has a trial.
Potential customers would like to see inside the members area, and exactly what they could get with a full-blown membership. I feel that site's that don't offer any kind of trial membership perhaps have something to hide. Maybe their content isn't as advertised on the signup page?
Although there are a few sneaky sites, that if one subscribes to the trial that lasts 3 days for example, after that if the rebills haven't been cancelled, it not only converts to a full-blown membership, but it's a premium price membership, more expensive that it would normally be.
One of the networks that come to mind for doing this is Bangbros.
So in a nutshell, trials are great and should be offered by sites.. but they shouldn't rebill. You pay say $5 for a 3 day trial, and after 3 days that's it.

For me, the review length/quality pays a big part.
If the reviewer has just written a barely approved review to get a point, what's to say it's going to be accurate?
I'd also compare the review against my own experience If I'd been a member of the site, which would have a big effect on whether or not I'd trust the user.

Whilst I don't tend to look at pictures that much, I'm more into videos, I think that photo-shopping/correction shouldn't be used really.
I like to know that what I'm looking at is real, and the picture is true to form.
Even if the complexion is bad, leave the pictures alone!

I think normally if I came into some unexpected money, it wouldn't be spent on porn. However, if I was lucky enough to get any from Porn Users, then I think I would actually spend it all on joining a variety of new porn sites, perhaps ones that, whilst still appealing to me have none or not many reviews on PU -- so I would be able to contribute a review or two to the site.

Yeah, I'm interested in some more informatino about this too. Videobox is a site I'm subsribed to more often than not.
The website is already excellent, but it'd be awesome to know what improvements they have planned.
Is it possible, if you're a member to elect to use the new beta site?

Great review SnowDude.
I completely agree with everything you've said -- especially with regards to them advertising the videos as high quality, when the older ones are downright poor, and the new videos are probably still below average.
I think from the incredible income that Bangbros generate, they should get some better camcorders.
Would love nothing more than Tugjobs in HD 1080i, and the same goes for the rest of the network.
