It's definitely customer support. Too many sites are run with a "set it and forget it" type attitude, where the goal is to make maximum revenue with minimum effort. This attitude really puts the "passive" in passive income. I actually get where this is coming from, because customer support costs money, but good customer support can pay off. If you actually want to build a quality brand, it is essential.

I've never purchased it myself either to be honest.
I think it may be mostly a different customer base than us here at PU. Predominately women, unlike our group, which is mostly men.

About the condoms thing, believe it or not, we just had one of our editors suggest that all sex scenes in our erotic fiction describe condoms being used. I promptly nixed that idea.

AmericanKittens.com is one example of such a site - actually PU declined to list it in the past, I was told partly because they did not make it clear on their tour page that the content was not downloadable.
I haven't been back to the Kink.com sites since they removed their downloadable zips, so I'm not sure if you can download JPEGs from their slideshows.

There are many free programs that will let you download photos most of the time in this situation. I just encountered a site that actually blocked all downloaders that I had the patience to try. So, I went through all the galleries, and downloaded every photo that I was interesting in via screenshot. It was not a good solution, but I didn't want to just walk away empty handed.

Good to hear there are still some hold outs for photography out there like myself.
I also love videos, but it is a shame to see many sites going video only.
To answer the poll, I prefer MP4. WMV is already being phased out at many sites, and doesn't look like the best format going forward.

Not moves in the stock market. I don't think that moves in the stock market would affect too many people's budgets, unless they celebrated winning trades with porn memberships.
But, around 2008 I had a suspicion that the recession would put a number of studios out of business, so I stepped up my overall buying. Unfortunately, I was right. Many studios were hit hard by many factors, and would close in the followings years. What I couldn't predict was that the industry would enter such a long, drawn out consolidation. I thought new studios would have formed to replace the old by now, but I think the overall number of studios is still way down from 2008.

My favorites are the scenes from the old site "SquirtBukakke.com" by Khan Tusion (different from our Khan). They would have anywhere from 5 to 20 porn models line up and crowd around a guy or girl and squirt all over them. The site is gone, but you can still get the DVD versions of the scene in the "Lesbian Bukakke" videos. It was obviously more than a gangbang, but multiple women to one man or woman made for some awesome scenes.

When you take photos or videos that were supposed to be private and share them with the world, and do it with the intent to shame the model, then that is revenge porn, and it's a dick move to do it to someone.
We have to be careful before we judge though, because if you download enough porn, you have undoubtedly saved scenes that the model agreed to at the time, but later sorely regretted.
