One time, first site I ever joined and I can't even remember the name of it. It was a solo model site that had this really cute, spiral curl hair model, blondish brown hair. It wasn't Next Door Nikki though. I am trying to think of her name. Anyway, it said, "See it all inside". I paid the $30 and got inside and there was no nudity, just a bunch of tease pictures. I was thinking she had "Little" in front of her name, but that was back in 2002-03, I have seen the site since then and remember that it was grouped in a network now. Since then, I want to see at least some nudity on the tour if I have never joined the site. Next Door Nikki has called upon me many times on those TGP sites, but I will not pay to be teased! I have been using Tiava for years, and it is my favorite. I think the first I ever used was Elephant List and seems that was while surfing the web with a Sega Dreamcast, so that is pretty old school! Most TGP sites that I see now though, are like the ones from back then. Not maintained well, you click a link and have no idea where it is going to take you.
Tiava's is better though, it has the search engine built in and you can even search by site name and even dig deeper with model name. An example, awhile back, I didn't know if Nubiles had Eve Angel content. I first searched for Nubiles.net and probably 1,000 results came up. I then added "Eve" to the search and it brought up the samples they had of Eve from Nubiles. Of course, it doesn't always work unless the site submits content to Tiava.
You can also search for pictures, movies or both and she has more niches than any TGP I have seen.

I personally don't download everything. I have a list of models that I like and am pretty damn snobby about this list! I only download content from these models to keep. I do occasionally stray from the list to look at some new models, but I rarely find a new model that I want to collect. There are exceptions, the little British model Sasha on Babelicious is really close to jumping on the list. Not for sure if it is her petite but curvy body or her dirty British mouth, but I wasn't expecting either from her from her innocent looking profile picture. Then I watch a video and she is making Eddie Murphy blush! Good poll Drooler, this came up awhile back in an email discussion with Nick of Babelicious. The reason being, at that time, there wasn't anyway to view the models except by ranking. I had missed several models that for some reason were rated very low. They did add the alphabetical search feature, but the model ratings do seem to be a bit odd to me in variance from site to site. A few months ago, I was on Xisty and Babelicious and was comparing the rankings. Since both sites have very similar model selection. Eve Angel was #1 on xisty but only #35 at Babelicious. Sandra Shine was #6 at Babelicious but only #44 at Xisty.
What I think happens, first of all I find it disturbing that I'm making theories about porn, but anyway, I think there are some members that go from say babelicious to xisty, where there is licensed content on both and they get mad that they already have the non-exclusive sets and give those low scores.
I also think videos of models that don't go beyond the tease step bring their rating down too.
I always think the comments are funny. I rarely get beyond 2 without seeing, "Wish she would do anal!" and you know that member is hitting the lower score everytime a non-anal scene is posted.
The only thing I disagree with this is like with the site I listed above Eve Angel. With 1300 sets between pictures and videos, logically, most sites can't reach that amount of content in even 3 years with daily updates. If a site updates daily for 3 straight years, you have 365 days in a year x 3 years, would be 1,095 sets, while her site has around 1,300 sets. All the update really is, is an addition to the quantity of the site and amount of material available to the members. I could even use her site as an example of the bad side of needing daily updates. The webmaster of Eve Angel has removed the last year of old content and releases a set of it each day as "new" content, even though it was on the site for 2-3 years before the recycling started. Where the new members get screwed is if they just left the old content alone, there would actually be more content to download with the site not making daily updates. It looks like they have about 40 sets down right now that have been available on the site before and will release them over the next 40 days.
If they weren't trying to reach the "daily updated" status, there would be 40 more sets there for new members to download today. So there can be a bad side to daily updated as well since new members don't know if the content released in daily updates really is new or not.
I marked yes since one of my highest rated sites is no longer updating with new material, just recycled material, Eve Angel. As a solo site, the site still has more content than nearly all solo sites with around 800 pic sets and nearly 500 videos. The reduced price of $15 makes it even better. I still never figured out why the webmaster of her site is trying to be deceptive by removing old material and then releasing it is "new" updates. Eve is a very noticeable maturing model. The content he is putting up as new now is from 4-5 years ago when she looked like a very innocent teen model, the "older" content he has up from 2007 is really the newest content they have of her. So it goes from 2007 content, she was about 25-26 in that content to 2008-2009 updates that she is 20-21 in.
The site still, especially for fans of Eve and that $15 price is one of porn's best buys, with or without updates. You could join for a month and download 15 videos 640 high end, 2000 bitrate, and 20 picture sets 2000+ high end zipped per day for a month and barely have all the content.

I do trust the ALS Scan site, but have noticed they now are using ccbill with ALS Angels. I sometimes like VXS Billing, they are pretty good about helping if you have any problems. Then again, I don't know how ccbill's support is since I've never had any problems with them. Kind of a hard place there. Epoch can be moody with me. They actually let my account at one site run for 6 months after I canceled it, never charged me again, but the login worked and wasn't realized until I went back 6 months later to check out updates. I clicked a picture set and it signed me right in.
When did porn users become ethical? I went right away to the site's support and sent them an email, including a copy of the cancel email. They were not too happy with Epoch to say the least.
Denner, I have tried a few sites in the past with netcash and it went okay. Seems like Naughty America used to use them. You have to do a little extra work than you do with ccbill. Like keeping up with order number, email, login, password and have to fill out a cancel page from the site to get it to cancel and I think they say 5-7 days before cancellation date.

I believe it is hype combined with bad timing. Some models have their "hot" period and it bumps some material out in favor of the more popular model.

Even worse, they got me with the time zone crap. I had gotten those DDF sites on the same day that I got an Xisty account, minutes apart, and the 1byday, HL&F accounts ran out that morning, the Xisty account didn't run out until that night. Which I really think is an issue that needs to be brought up to the pay processors because they are ripping us off a day. I know, its not much, but sure enough, the very next due update on 1byday was the Zuzanna Z redhair machine set, so I'm stuck with going back and joining again, mainly for that set.
I've developed a new system. I go to freeones or one of the TGP sites and try to find samples of my favorite models from the site that I am considering joining. I won't post the the link, but Tiava's TGP is really good for doing a search by model's name and you can even search the site's name to find the samples the site has on there. I've found these samples, usually dozens of them per site, to be better than the samples the sites have in their preview.
As far as the content goes, I usually look at the picture samples to see the "style" of colors they use. Getting picky, I know, but I really prefer the warm color sets.
I put fantasy genre only since an animated figure can do things humans can't. I've looked at some animated cartoons for humor, like the ones that have known cartoon characters in them, like Scooby Doo. Some are as good as porn, if you get your fantasy mindset ready before watching. Especially the Hentai, which I would have most likely never looked at if not for being on a DVD site that had a Hentai section and one video came up as the highest rated of the day.

#3 Nick at Babelicious is a regular here and he has taken several suggestions and used them, including reading the complaining about the multi-site network clunkiness of having to sign in on every site, to which they are now combining some of their sites into one big one.
#4 The biggest one for me and the one I am most impressed with is the impact PU has had on the 21st Sextury sites like Club Sandy and Pix and Video. Not only have they improved their video quality by going from .avi files to .mp4 files, and raised their video resolution from the 440 high end range to 640, but they are also in the process of releasing bigger resolutions in their picture sets. They are saying between 2,000-3,000 high end resolution as soon as they get it implemented. They also have improved their servers because of the PU reports of slow DL speeds and no access times. This to me is impressive because they are one of the more established site companies on the internet and could probably coast along without improving, but now are improving.
Hey Drooler, that is interesting about New Sensations, at one time, probably 2005-06, that was my favorite site on the internet, and I still hadn't heard of her! I will have to go back to NS soon, price is still plenty low and see what all I missed back in 2006.
Porn.com really is a solid site, that the staff is improving almost daily. Back 4 or 5 months ago, they had one video of Aubrey Adams, who has to be the cutest, sweetest, curvy below the waist American models to come along since Kayla Marie. I've never been sold on a site by a trailer except Glamour Models Gone Bad, and to this day, I still cannot find the preview video from their site. I don't even know for sure who the model is. I haven't known of many models that go from softcore to hardcore. Amy Reid comes to mind, though her hardcore is not near as good as her solo videos.
