The biggest problem that I see in America with parents and porn is the huge amount of single mothers raising sons. Very few mothers are ever going to be accepting of their little boys growing up, especially growing up and finding a woman to lust over. On the other hand, you should see me trying to talk to dads about their daughters ha ha. I've noticed that Americans generally want to believe that we are open-minded as can be, until it hits close to home.
I at least do see an improvement in the number of unexpected pregnancies and see way less young women saying, "I want a baby, so I will have sex just to get that baby". The kids today are showing more intelligence about sex at younger ages, but there is one train of thought that says that is because these kids are so selfish and self-absorbed. They don't want a relationship since that would mean they might have to spend their money on the other person. They don't want kids because it would take away from their freetime.
What I believe has happened is my generation, 26-44 right now, did grow up with more liberal parents. I can remember my dad also giving me Playboy, then my uncle gave me a Hustler. I can even remember my mom buying me a box of condoms before my senior year of high school.
Similar to the wild teens of the past that indulged in alcohol, only to hit legal age, then not really want the alcohol. I think that happened with us with sex. Once it was okay with our parents, it became less desirable to do. I can remember almost looking at sex as something, "You do once married and bored".
Last, where I think we have our biggest problem is trying to explain to a younger person that sex does not equal love, but they shouldn't have sex until they love someone. Makes no sense! I came from the thought, "Try it before you buy it" I guess it depends on how you look at things, like divorce rates and so on. Maybe it is true, once we have had sex and then marry the person later, there isn't that first time for after marriage and it takes away in the long run. I just think that is people these days being less satisfied with life in general. I did think the topic was a great one though.
I meant to jump in on this one yesterday. As a Psychologist, I may bring a little different view to this. First, I think it is an excellent question and topic that should and needs to be discussed. Though I have no kids as of now, my wife and I do plan to have kids. Another way this could have been asked is to say "At what age would you punish/ground your children for being caught with porn?" It takes the concern off of the child porn laws.
Even then, I don't think I could go just by age. We also may be seeing the difference in members on here being from different countries. I know that being raised in America, my friends and I all had at least one uncle or older brother who would slip us a Playboy when we were teenagers. What really mattered then and now is how mature the person is that is looking at it. There could be a 15 year old who has been sexually active for 2 years looking at it. While it is illegal, you would probably respond differently than if the person was a 15 year old who had never been on a date.
Most of us know that porn can change your perception of women. If you look at enough busty porn, you are likely going to be attracted more to busty women in real life. The bad side of that is when a younger person only looks at glamour models, then they have this unrealistic view of what a woman is supposed to look like.
I think I saw a porn when I was 17 that had Max Hardcore in it and it disgusted me, now I can't stand the guy or his movies. On the other hand, I remember seeing Savannah before her tragic passing and thinking what a perfect woman, at least at that time. Porn has many educational uses besides safe sex and proper sexual technique, since about 30% of marriages end because of poor sexual relationship, those people could have benifitted from watching an old Rocco porn movie.
You also can use porn to learn to differeniate between lust and love, which is a huge factor in most marriages. Once you learn the difference, the physical appearance isn't nearly as important to you when it comes to who you love. I have also found that sexually repressed patients of mine have responded very positive to seeing porn for the first time, and some, in their 30s and 40s, just start to open up as a person, which possibly could have happened in their early 20s or even earlier if they had watched a porn or two. Meaning they probably wouldn't be coming to me with problems of the mental kind and would be much more happier.

The only ones I have used are the one on Teen Dreams and I read the one on Eve Angel's site some. The Teen Dreams one is pretty active, but they have several inside jokes that make no sense to me! Eve is never on hers, so I don't post on it, plus they don't seem to be answering any questions on it or posting down time announcements.
I like some video games, but rarely go online to play them. Usually some of my old college friends come over and we will play something NCAA football on the PS2. I don't really keep up with games anymore, but back in the younger days I was an online gamer with Phantasy Star Online on the Sega Dreamcast. You'd be surprised at the dirty talk you could have with women on there! My neighbor's kid plays World of Warcraft, but I've never actually played it. I have watched him play though. So, I marked no since I can't remember the last time I did.
TV has porn? I don't have all that new technology HDTV or digital cable. I just have very basic cable to watch my sports on, nothing else on tv interests me that much. I remember the old HBO softcore, two girls rubbing on each other while the camera just shows their faces and shoulder, to show their arm is moving. Then the woman would moan and I'd be thinking, "Man, that was sexy, she had an orgasm" then after getting married, my wife said, "No she didn't we can fake ours" damaged me for the rest of my life!
Pickier, probably a little more moody about my porn too! Every once in awhile I get an urge for a certain kind of model or even an exact specific trait to the video setting. Yeah, that picky! I have this thing about the settings in pictures and videos to be realistic looking. Realistic as in, a typical room with a normal couch, not a room that has 17 different colors on the walls and a $50,000 couch. I actually think that isn't so much "picky" as it is, "odd and strange"! I am picky about the models. I rarely open my mind to new models, kind of like the old saying, "Why fix it if it isn't broke?"
I agree with Denner that us on here probably have better success since we can read the reviews, understand the terminology, such as the res of videos, which I would bet some people have no idea what res is and/or what it means. There is an idea, maybe there already is one on TBP?
Something like a common porn word glossary that explains. For example, I don't use zip files, I have a winrar which is much faster and can do 40-50 at a time, separating them into separate folders. But, if I put winrar files, I'm sure that a lot of people would have no idea that is just a newer name, newer technology of the zip system. That's me, odd, picky and strange.
I'm not for sure the exact amount but I have way more than 10 GB of Eve Angel. Her site alone has about 10 GB in videos per year if not more and it has been up 2 1/2 years. Not to mention all the other 21st Sextury content of her, DDF and nearly every other site I have found with her on them. I would estimate over 50 GB.
Most of the above members have nailed my feelings. I know that some of us were reviewing before the raffle was even a part of the site. With me, I only have a little time during T-F, so my reviews usually end up right at the end of a raffle period. I work 12 hours on T-F and am out of town one weekend per month. I enjoy talking about the sites and though my preferences are usually limited to glamour/Euro sites, the different reviews have at least helped me join a few sites outside of my usual preference.
The members who post on a lot of replies, polls, I believe are here for the reviewing and just to have some fun with a chance to win a nice prize.
I did a follow-up on several of mine because a site had lost its luster from when I first reviewed it. Sandra Shine's site, I believe I rated a 95 at first, but then I noticed anything that was considered hardcore, they wanted you to pay more, and I noticed that the picture sets, though exclusive, the same outfit and poses had been seen before on other sites. Just little things that would take 1-2 points off for. A lot of times you don't see the flaws in sites until you have been on them a month or longer. I make sure before reviewing a site that I have been on it for 2 weeks minimum. This gives me time to check and see if they are updating as advertised, but when you get those rare occasions like a Sandra Shine hardcore picture set, we never know when those things are going to show up.
On the other end was my review of xisty, where, I had scored it in the low 80s because I also had a Babelicious membership that month. Both sites had some exact sets, but Babelicious had bigger pictures of the same set. Later on, Xisty started shooting exclusive videos and exclusive HD videos at that. So, sites like that need to be awarded for improving their content, mostly in Xisty's case, because of pornusers and members talking to the webmaster.
Very important. The only sites I have had trouble accessing, Eve Angel's site, which is still not updating much. But they did send me an email explaining the reason no one could access the site and explained the updating part as well. The only other site I had trouble with was 21st Sextury sites. Someone had hacked my password and was passing it around. So, they banned my account. I sent a email, within 6 hours they had corrected the problem and had me unbanned.
I had a similar experience to Apoctom. The only thing was, I had a wmv playing, but had opened up my browser to see what my new email was that was dinging. I had been married for about a year. My wife was reading the email, it was from her family. I told her just to close the browser. Luckily the video had ended so it was just frozen on the last second of it. But she still looked at me quite funny like. It was okay though, she liked the video once she realized I had been watching it!
I've been on Eve Angel's site since last October without cancelling. Xisty has had me for the last couple of months too. Love those HD videos they have and the great pictures. Babelicious had me for 3 months straight when I first joined it. Otherwise, I use a rotating schedule. I get the 21st Sextury sites one month, either P&V and ClubSandy or ZoliBoy, since you can get two of them for $45 as a combo. Then 1byday and Twistys get a visit every 3 months. In between those rotations, I will sometimes try out glamour sites one month, fetish sites one month. There is a method to my porn madness.
I haven't tried any of those. I've tried a few trials over the years, though. I would like to see sites maybe consider offering weeklong full memberships for say $10. A few are doing it now. I wonder if that will become a future option?
Those $1 trials remind too much of being an 18 year old going in to the video store, all nervous, slipping into the adult section and picking the one with the prettiest girl on the cover. Then you watch the video and she isn't in the movie!
Very much agree, noticed a recent review of Twistys that has two major false statements in it. "Daily download limit" and "No exclusive material" those are deal breakers for many people.
Usually when I try too hard to find material of my favorite model, Eve Angel, I find myself frustrated once I get on a site that has her, but everything they have, I already have from another site. The only other time is when I join a niche site and become bored with it after seeing pretty much the exact same thing over and over.
I update when they give me no choice but to update. My winamp media player got to the point that it would hog my system resources trying to get update notification warnings on my screen. I don't fool with Windows Media Player. Firefox updates automatically, though it seems to do it at the worst times. I like an recommed Media Player Classic for those who like Windows Media Player. It is a little old looking, but it plays every movie file out there, wmv, mov, mpeg, divx, and it doesn't clunk up your system resources.
I wish that one of the General Entertainment webmasters on this site would respond to reviews and comments. I have seen one respond about Lora Craft's site, but there are 4 registered on here. Which makes me wonder if it is the same customer service staff for each site. I've heard different things about Eve's site from other members, including ones that say she has never responded to their comments or emails, I've wrote to her 3 times on her email account, she replies, sometimes it takes awhile, but I'm sure it is her. Her English isn't as good as their staff's. I've never had to use Mya's staff support much. I know all of the sites must be on the same server. Right now, Mya, Eve, Lora and Balkan Amateurs are all down. Eve's had that sign-in problem a few months ago, you would sign in, but nothing would happen, eventually giving you a blank white screen.
Seeing that they have 4 sites and 4 webmasters listed on here, I'm betting they have separate staffs, but I will send a reply to the last one and mention Mya's site to see if they will check the mail. I think the biggest problem staff are having these days is they don't communicate with the members. Like with 21st Sextury being hacked, they sent all emails to all members explaining. I don't know if the GE sites are having that problem, but my understanding is it just some kind of maintanence right now. Notice that I'm not a member on Mya's site anymore or Lora's. Eve being my favorite and having a prepaid membership, I have to ride it out.
Everything that I can see says the General Entertainment also owns Only3x and Maria Beluccis site, they may deny that, but they were advertising for Eve's site on Only3x, which I have trouble believing a site would do if there was no connection. I will let you know if I get a response back.
Hey, I just use the regular email form on the site. One thing that might make a difference, that I just thought about is that I am a prepaid 6 month at a time member. I don't know if that gives better service or not. I did get an email earlier that said the site may be down for a day or two so they can get all the updates up that they missed. If you are on Eve's site, several of the newer video clips do not forward in WMV, you have to watch all the way through. So, it looks like they are going to have to go back and fix these things. If you are a member on Eve's and this lasts for any serious amount of time, send an email and ask if they will give you a few weeks free so you can get what you paid for. If they don't respond, I will take a shot and send one in and mention that I know a guy who is a member and who isn't getting his emails answered. Olga is a complete sweetheart, I mean she apologizes, explains, apologizes more, I really don't know how many staff members they have on each one or how many members they have on each one.
The forum was a bad idea in the first place. I think if members would have been nice and sensible, respectful, Eve would have been more active on hers. She is a very conservative woman off the camera. ATK Premium found that out when they kept asking her to show some skin in Hungary, in public. 90% of the posts say something about how they want Eve to marry them, suck, fuck, etc.. I would imagine that gets frustrating.

I believe they went on vacation, no joke. They are known for doing this around Christmas as well. I remember late November last year, they hadn't updated Eve's site in nearly 3 weeks. They also weren't answering my emails. The reason I assume they are away when they don't answer is when the site is updating on time, if you send an email, they respond in a day or two. I've been on first name basis with one of their reps, Olga, for over a year now. She didn't respond to my recent email until yesterday, I sent it two weeks ago to tell them they were getting behind. This also is what I was told last year, sometimes they don't realize nothing was posted. I take it they use an automated uploader since Eve's site used to update right at midnight/EST everynight. You've probably seen the updates on Eve's that have a thumbnail but when you click it there are no options to download or view. They supposedly don't know when this happens. Who knows?
But I've noticed many top sites dropping lately. 21st Sextury has supposedly been hacked so their server is slow and sometimes won't let you sign in, I was downloading a pic set from P&V a few weeks ago at 51 kb/s, I have a 10M connection and can usually get an average of at least 900 kb/s. They were the dominant Euro group of sites, but now you hear a lot of complaints about them. Even Videobox has been down two times in the last week, they say it is maintanence, but I only download up in the AM hours, so that doesn't make it any better for me to know it is maintanence. The only sites I see delivering their promises these days are Twistys, 1byday, Babelicious and Xisty.
As for recommending a General Entertainment site, my review even mentioned that there will be lulls in the updates and the ability to even go on the sites. I still recommend them, because they always come back up and with 1 new update a day, it isn't hard for me to catch up. I do agree thought that it is frustrating.
Agreed, their reviews rarely give anymore information than the free tours do, but having the option of using their TGP gallery and the forum is a great one. I've used their TGP site along with Tiava's to find what sites have Eve content.
I believe that exclusive is important, but after talking to several webmasters, I'm starting to realize that it is almost impossible to have a huge site with daily updates without some licensed material. The one exception, I believe solo sites should be 100% exclusive. Another category that I think exclusive content can matter is in the DVD sites group. There are a couple of smaller DVD sites that have content I have never seen on any other site and I would think that could make or break a sale on a new customer.
I can't remember the name, it might have been the Realm one, Porn Realm, was that one? I like freeones, but their reviews usually don't have that great of information. I prefer TBP not so much for the review scores, but because of the pic size, movie res, it is just good information, the discounts help a lot too.
Hey, yeah, I prefer the Seagate one over the Western Digital MyBook, even though there is a big space difference on them.
Check out the Seagate Free Agent line on Amazon, they have the 250 GB one that I have for $82 right now, they also have a 500 GB one same name for $120 something. The Western Digital 500 GB one is kind of noisy and seems to shake a lot. Though I haven't had any problems out of either brand.
They also have the Passport line that is smaller in size and uses your usb port for power, but the space on those are maybe 120 GB for $90. Hope that helps.
