Interesting question. Totally depends on what else is going on, how much time I have and the type, quality, new-ness and maybe the length of the queue of scenes (i.e. go look at new stuff for each active subscription, then go to collection if there is nothing amazing among the new stuff). Generally it is time constrained. Got 5 minutes? Then it takes 5 minutes. Got 2 hours and absolutely nothing else to do? Then it takes 10 minutes, then 30 minutes, then 40 minutes. Ha!
I've tried a few. I didn't realize until recently that there is a little subculture/sub-market of erotic drawing/rendering tools and products. (go check out renderotica.com to see what I mean...) They all share one problem with the games, though. Although bodies and movements are getting better, the faces are nowhere near realistic enough. It's fun to play/look for a few minutes, anyway.
This site shows up on the "porn portal" first page for Twisty's members and I almost signed up before looking here for reviews. Two things kill it. First, it is streaming only. Yes, there are ways around that, but it sucks. And second, every video and most images have pixelated genitalia. Everything. (Kind of ironic considering the sex-crazed reputation some areas in Japan have....) Now, I get that these are Japanese and that is the law in Japan, but it is pretty unacceptable in the rest of the world. I'll wait until they ship these girls out of the country to film some unpixelated stuff.
Yesterday the option changed again to "Thanks for using our public beta. Click here to set this as default" but there was no way to go back to the "classic format". Fortunately, there is a setting in "options" that allows you to set your default to "classic". This works, but my browser spends a lot of time switching from the now global-default new format to my personal setting classic format.
I would not mind the new format so much if it provided me with one-row per day (i.e. 4 sets) like the old one did, if it used the same naming conventions and if I could do the same things in the same number of clicks. (i.e. download a zip file) Both formats leave huge amounts of unused space on the sides. If the goal was to provide larger thumbnails, just take up some of that unused space.

Pros:
Pretty massive site
Wide variety of videos and images
Wide variety of models and types
Good layout
Reasonable navigation
Good search capabilities
Most of the new stuff says it is 4k video.
Cons:
Marketing is deceptive
"Network" of sites is all the same stuff
One update per-day for entire network?
All scores start as 10. Lot's of inflation.
Mostly similar indoor sets
Videos are competent, not stellar
You get a lot of trailers when you think you are getting videos.
Main page shows next week's releases instead of showing you what is available now.
Some of the sites have only older, SD stuff.
Bottom Line:
I'm not sure what category I should use for this "network" other than "Mega-site". Like other mega-sites, the emphasis is on quantity over quality and, although there is a lot of material here, a very small percentage of it is going to find it's way into my collection. I would put this site a couple of notches below the top mega-sites, which probably include Brazzers, Porn-Pros, Teamskeet, 21 Sextreme, etc. But that's just me so let me give you some stats (self reported by the site):
(As of December 12th, 2015)
Sites: 28****
Models: 1144
Images: 696,671
Videos: 4065
So...no matter how you slice it, there is a ton of material here. Almost all of it is hardcore. This is all mainstream, trendy porn. Lot's of anal, lot's of cream pies, something that passes as traditional (hand job) POV site, another site that passes as a progressive (full session) POV site, an old-man/teen girl site, etc. At the bottom there is even a gay site and 2 she-male sites. There is a 4K site at the top that get's updated about once a week. But as anyone who has a seen a close-up of their favorite actress or model in 4K, just because you can do something in 4K doesn't necessarily mean you should. There are a few sites, like the "athletic girl" site, that appear to only update one a YEAR. This probably has a lot to do with why I am so unimpressed overall. I saw an amazing video ad for a site called "Dirty Coach" that started with a very fit girl in it doing things that impressed me. Then, when I joined, I NEVER found the video I saw marketed and discovered that the site I signed up for only updates once a year. That is pretty deceptive in my book.
The "28" sites listed (I count 32 on the main page) are mostly just a rehash of the material from the main page. A few sites at the bottom are so poorly done that I don't blame them for not counting them in the total. (1 hasn't updated since 2006 and another since 2009.) Overall, there is one, 1, single update for the entire network per day. Probably the single most annoying thing I experience with the site is that the main page shows updates that are happening up to a week in advance and there is no way to discern them from current releases other than the date. You might not realize this until you click the link and only get the trailer. This happens throughout the site as the related upcoming sets are mixed into the display for each sub-site.
The navigation is pretty good. Once I realized that most of the scenes are on the main site, I started using the sub-sites as category searches. That works well for the true network sites, but for the really obscure stuff, you have to go to the bottom of the sites list and search in whatever way that site provides....sometimes none.
There are a few models you know, but most are folks you've never seen before and may never see again. Almost entirely Eastern European from what I can tell with a handful of English-speaking folks mixed in. Anjelica is probably the most well known model on the site and behind her comes....no idea because the ranking system doesn't make any sense. Maybe 3 girls I recognize in the top 50 or so. Every model starts as a 10 so there are several models with 0 or a few votes that are rated higher than Anjelica who has 2700+ votes, almost double the votes than the next girl. Suffice it to say that the rankings are kind of strange.
Bottom line? This is a high-volume, medium quality site with moderate variety and too-infrequent updates. I do not approve of the marketing strategy, which involves marketing the individual sites even though they don't update and are only subsets of a mega-site you may have already joined or are not particularly interested in. There is absolutely no indication of how frequently a marketed site is updated until after you've joined.
However, there is a ton of decent quality hard core porn here so if you are into just watching other people fuck, than add this to your list. Personally, I prefer the sites that glam it up a bit and would rather have a few really good videos (i.e. Wow-Girls) than thousands of mediocre ones. What is the use of having a boatload of porn if takes forever to find something good enough to excite you? So I probably will not be back unless they dupe me into joining again.

Pros:
Huge collection of photos and videos. Good navigation. A full decade of material available. Newer videos are excellent quality. Models come in all shapes and sizes. Nearly every big-name model you've ever heard of. Mostly US models who actually speak!
Cons:
Be careful with the cross-listing when you join.
Waaay to many ads for other sites. Once you log in, you are redirected to a page with dozens of other sites to join. You have to scroll down to find the site you paid for. Not cool. Oh, and any discount offers to join the other sites are only valid for as long as you are a member at Twisty's. So if you want to join one of those sites, go find the discount someplace else.
Main sign-up is through Pro-biller in Europe someplace. These guys are pretty obscure and the only way to cancel is to contact them. One of the most important quality metrics about any website is the ease with which you can cancel. This one? Not impressed.
Scoring/ranking/search system used to be top-notch but seems to be broken now (See below).
Old categories that made it easy to find the talk-dirty-to-you videos are gone.
Bottom Line:
My old review expired and I joined again, so I'm updating that review....there are several changes since last time.
Do you remember the original Danni's Hard Drive? You know, before Danni sold it? Twisty's is practically an exact replica of the original Danni site. There is a HUGE collection here that spans over a decade. New material is very good. Most of the models are big american names, mostly in porn. Decent variety in the sets locations and models. And people seem to be having fun.
All that said, there are a few things that I feel obligated to point out. First, most of the models, though popular are..um..more mature. To be fair, the site also has some very popular younger models including Malena Morgan, Dakota Sky and Michaela Isizzu. One thing about a site that has been around this long is that you can find sets that span a models entire professional career. For example, if you like Sasha Grey, there is a terrific collection here from 2009 and before. But in general you won't really see any knock-out new discoveries here as the stable is mostly pros, many of whom have had more than a little work done. A few of the more popular models are still unaltered, though...thank god.
I noticed one thing that has changed since my last visit. Most of the older models have slipped down in the "top models" list, but the sorting of "most popular" or "top rated" no longer works. Instead, what you get for both options is a list that looks like it is ordered by the webmaster's belief of what the ranking should be. Top rated lifetime model today? Dakota Sky, even though she only has 4 sets, an 84% approval rating and 483 votes. By comparison, Malena Morgan, number 4 on the list, has 7494 votes, 35 sets and a 94% approval rating. In fact, there are a lot of models rated higher than Dakota (No offense Dakota...) Something funny here... How much do you want to bet that Dakota will be a Twisty's Treat of the Month in the next few months? That kind of manipulation... uh..weirdness is a little too common here.
Lately, it looks like there has been a shift from solo model sets to full guy/girl or girl/girl sex. This might just be based on the recent models preferences, but I can't tell. I also can't tell if this is a good thing or not because it is hard to video or photograph sex well and the site will be competing with a much, much larger section of the porn market than they did with the solo girl being bad niche. What I really liked about this site before were the videos of girls paying attention to ME, talking to ME, showing themselves to ME. Lately, that attention is going to somebody else. Apparently, they've figured out that this is what live-sites are for and that there is much more money in just promoting the live sites for those who liked the "talk' sets. Too bad I don't buy live sets. A few of these talking sets show up once in a while, but they are no longer a category and don't seem to be as frequent as they used to be. If you like that kind of set, there are still some very good ones here but you will need to look through a lot to find them.
The photo sets are generally good. They are not overly staged, there is a decent variety of indoor and outdoor sets, the mix of full-body and close-up shots is good and the lighting is correct. The models are mostly solo, some with toys, but there are a few girl/girl scenes and two and three way sex scenes. There are NO shy girls here. Eventually, every girl in every solo set puts it in your face.
The network structure has changed a bit, too, but the other sites that you get free access to are still the same sets that are in the main site, just repackaged into different categories. In fact, once you enter one of the other sites, you can't tell it is a different site at all.
They have a girl of the month theme with a series of photo and video shoots released throughout the month. These range from interviews to hard core, depending on how far the models go. Long ago, these models were chosen by the subscribers. These days, I think it might be more a matter of availability or something. No real formula that I can figure out. These sets are good if you like the model.
Overall, this site is well above average with a huge selection of images and videos. The girls are mostly mature, large breasted and in many cases enhanced a bit. The images are good but not too glam-ee and, from what I can tell, not overly touched up. I got in on a discounted rate but since it is difficult to cancel, I ended up getting hit for a second month at the full price. Ouch. Still, it is positively worth a visit at least one a year, especially at the discounted rate.
So...after many years of having what I have always considered the highest standard for websites, literally a model for others to emulate, Met-Art is changing their website layout. When they first started floating a "beta" version of the new layout, I thought it was pretty awful and gave them my reasons why. Now, it looks like the old layout is just about to go away completely and we will be stuck with a site where the "live girls" portion, now taking up almost half of the main page, preventing me from clearly seeing what sets that I've already paid for are new. In my book, this greedy move falls just short of creating pop-ups or redirecting people at login to other offers. And the really sad thing is all they needed to do is adjust screen width slightly or establish a separate layout for mobile (which is probably part of why they made the change). I still click on the "classic site" option every chance I get because you get four models across and can see what is new, and once you get to a set you can actually see what you need to click to download a zip file rather than having to find some really tiny, cryptic camera icon. Clearly, I'm pretty annoyed about this and think they've taken a giant step backwards.
So....for those of you who subscribe to Met-Art, what do you think of the new web layout?
So...my wife sometimes takes longer than I'd like in the bathroom once she's decided she needs to "freshen up" before we have sex. I'll grab the iPad next to my bed and start browsing the usual porn haunts in an effort to stay hard. In the strictest sense, this is fluffing. Depending on what kind of mood she and I are in, I will sometimes show her things I find so we can try them or NOT try them, depending on the site and thing. Sometimes she just comes out and asks me what I was looking at and looks put out when I show her. Yes, she "caught" me, but in this case it is more like getting caught stealing a cookie...except the only one I get to eat just finished freshening up in the bathroom.
Have you ever watched a Spanish TV show with the sound off? Facial expressions are so exaggerated that it looks like somebody is eating nails! (No offense, I think it's a cultural acting thing...) Porn is often that way with the sound on OR off. With it on, you get an endless stream of ridiculous moans and "oh fuck"s. And with it off, the models and actors facial expressions either look like they are either running a hundred yard dash in the middle of the worlds longest yawn or in some serious pain.
The only sound I can tolerate and sometimes enjoy hearing is that low, gutteral, gritty "Unnnngh" sound when a woman or a man is actually coming. But that sound is all too rare.
Oh, and there are/were a few sites that create scenes where the model talks to you. Twisty's and Danni.com used to have these sets where the models would talk to you as though you were sitting there. (I just looked and they are not a separate category on Twisty's anymore but they are still there.) They were pretty awesome and worth having the sound on for.
I think seeing a model eat food in a porn set is more comical than sexy. Food is sometimes used as a prop to distract new models, but it doesn't really do much and isn't particularly realistic. It isn't really foreplay...
Now, I have seen a few excellent sets/scenes where the model is dripping honey or chocolate on herself or having fun with a can of whipped cream. The huge difference here is that, rather than having to watch a model eat food, you end up wondering about what she tastes like. Yum.
Thank you! I see you pulled the site from your review list also. It looks like the site is still up but they aren't accepting new accounts. That sounds like they may have shut-down but don't want to have to refund any money for current subscriptions. Oh well. I hope you get an answer.
So...what happened? I would hate to think that a company/brand as reputable as Playboy would give you the runaround. I found your note because I was here looking before signing up. I think I'll wait to hear what happens with your case before I do.
So...I see one model I like a lot and decided to try this site. Unfortunately, when you click on the "join" icon, you get a link to CCBill that says "account inactive". What kind of web site would let the billers account go inactive even for a minute? I'll follow up as now there is a quest (or maybe conquest) involved.
I use a really simple, ancient program called SuperJPG but it is no longer made and is showing its age. I just downloaded Tangub's sugestion, Xnview software and it looks really nice! It will go through images in fractions of a second speeds, which is something I was looking for, but it also looks like it as some other nice features. Thanks, Tangub!
Sometimes HD videos can be huge with a lot of garbage at the beginning and end, so I will edit them while preserving as much of the overall theme as possible. There are also a couple of things that are a real turn-off to me personally and, if I like the rest of the video enough to download it, I will edit those bits out. It is not hard to do with the right tools and it saves storage and viewing time.
Many pay sites post sample videos on the free sites as a marketing technique. I have a list of several US, European and Russian free sites that I visit when I'm looking for something new. And a lot of it is in 720p HD.
I've also found that these sites often have a community that edits and contributes. For example, Go to Thumbzilla and look up "Reverse Cowboy Compilation". Sure enough, down the page somebody has put a bunch of them together and put them to music....5 or 6 different versions. That's more work than I would ever want to do, but it is nice viewing. There is also some pretty good amateur stuff on occasion.
The pop-ups are sometimes a nuisance and for a while that stupid FBI Java hijack thing was a problem at some foreign sites, but current virus protection seems to take care of that.
After seeing the first two answers, I have to wonder if this is just US thing. I never considered that folks here hadn't heard of Reddit. (What about Tumblr?) If not, Reddit is a free image and gif site that, has over 100 NSFW subreddits covering every possible category, fetish, softcore, hardcore, etc. I am often surprised to see images there that I have in my collection or images of favorite models that I have not seen elsewhere. Many of the webmasters allow some of their images to be posted there as sort of free advertising. It may be worth a look if you are into images and GIFs. For videos, you have to go to xhamster of thumbzilla.
I first started thinking about this from an admittedly twisted American cultural perspective....here we are on a site that is all about one 'Vice" talking about one of our other vices. This country lumps sex and alcohol into the "bad" category, but there is an average of 3 prime-time murders an hour on almost every major TV network. ...I digress.
I don't drink much bet when I do....it's whatever is handy at whatever location I am at. I drink about half of whatever it is and then stand around holding the warm and/or watery remains for the duration of whatever event it is.
I buy monthly subscriptions to different sites on a rotating basis. But I will buy an annual subscription if the discount is big enough (i.e. $79-99/year) and I like the site enough to sign up for 3 or more months a year. So right now I have annual subscriptions to 3 sites.
Some sites hardly discount annual subscriptions at all. $200+ for an annual subscription? What are they thinking?
Lately, I've seen a lot of $70 "lifetime" network deals that are only in effect for as long as you maintain a subscription to the original site you signed up to in the network. "Keep paying $29 a month and we'll let you have these other sites for only $70"... That's not a deal at all and is actually a tremendous ripoff.
I'm kind of hoping that some of the webmasters will see this survey since I'm expecting it to be mostly "looking at the camera". I am SO tired of sets where the girl never looks at the camera.
The only not-looking set I've ever enjoyed is the "peeping tom" type of set where the shoot is through curtains or a mostly closed door and the girl doesn't make eye contact until she "notices" you. That is followed by a)yelling, b)a smile and a show, c)sex, or d) all of the above. Those are kind of fun but fortunately not that common. I say fortunately because the rarity makes them more enjoyable when they do pop up.
Oh, and I suppose a really wonderful arched-back spread-eagle or similar pose where the girl's face isn't visible is fine. But again, those type of shots are rare.
Once back in the 80's there was a set in Penthouse Magazine (remember magazines?) Where, for every image, this beautiful girl was just staring into the camera with a totally pissed "What are you looming at?" expression on her face. Every image. Oh my god that was so hot that 30 years later, I still remember the set.
My point? I believe it is ALL fantasy and there is an appropriate time and place for every type of expression...as long as it is done well.
I just wrote a long note but I guess it was TOO long and my login timed out. That's a first.
Many new models plaster on a smile and it stays there for the entire set. Yuck. But some models can provide very genuine looking smiles for most shots in a set very consistently. Lorena G (Met art, Twisty's) is one of the European models that has a terrific, genuine looking smile.
The other look you sometimes get with new models is the slightly frightened look. I don't attribute that that to submission (totally different thing) but more to the sudden realization "What the FUCK am I doing here" like a cat in a bathtub. That is often the last time you see those models. Sometimes you see this with popular models but it is probably more about the photographer. Ever seen a site where there are lots of girls but only one set each? I think it is because the photographer creeped the hell out of the girls and they leave and don't return. Sets where the photographers touch the models fall into this category and I don't blame the models for getting creeped out. (I'm talking straight photo/video sets, not faux auditions or pick up videos.)
What I did not convey in the survey was that intense, "I want you NOW!" look that, hopefully, we've all experienced at one time or another. Very few models can pull off that look, but when they do it is pure gold.
Oh, and if you really want to see how genuine a model is, look for the behind the scenes videos. (Warning: do NOT do this with your favorite models unless you want to be disappointed.) If the model's expression changes for every shot or two, it's fake. If there is other stuff going on in the room or there is obvious dialogue that the model is reacting to, then it is more genuine.
So for me it is anything genuine. ...now let me copy this before clicking "add reply...."
Same here. When I see a new or interesting model, most of the time I just look on the site to see what else she has done, but once in a while there will be somebody I just have to get more of so I go out to one of the directory sites. Without those sites and the related name cross-references, I sometimes would not know that a model I like is on another site I subscribe to under a different name.
I just looked and have over 1.9 million files in my collection...wow. That is mostly images but there are a lot of videos, too. My file structure starts with a rating system, A,B,C and it is mainly broken down by site. It goes all the way to AAAA for my favorite sites and material. Within a site, I organize by the year of the subscription. (i.e. MA10, MA11, etc. within the Met-art folder, which is a AAAA site.) Then I only look back as far as my last subscription. This helps me see at a glance when I last subscribed to a site, it eliminates duplicates and it helps determine when to archive older, low resolution stuff. the better sites already tag sets and files with the model and date but for those that do not, I categorize by model (within the year of the subscription). When I find something amazing, I include OMG at the end so I can search for it later. And the best videos get copied into folders that are visible to one of my Tivos so we can watch them in my A/V room...but that is another story. So...rating, site, subscription year, set/model...and OMG as a flag.
