My ISP gives a maximum of 10 MB/s fibre connections. On a single video most sites dont give me more than 4-5 MB/s but usually I can max my connection with multiple concurrent downloads. Downloading HD video is no problem, finding space to store it is the issue; I'm constantly adding hard drives to my servers.

I dont think this will happen in my lifetime. Outlawing or even controlling anything on the internet is next to impossible. Just look at how well the fight against pirated movies/games/music/porn is going.

I dont tend to read any of these legal T & C's. Who knows what I have unknowingly agreed to over the years :) But in my defense, I think you need to be a lawyer to understand the legal jargon that they contain, so I dont think I would be any the wiser even if I did read them.

I hate it too. Even worse is when a foreign language porn movie is over dubbed in English. Not only fake moans but the girl in the scene is not even doing the moaning!

As soon as I join a site I queue up each and every video and pic set for download. For me its just quicker to grab the lot than spend time previewing each scene to cherry pick the ones I fancy. Once I have a whole site downloaded, I add all the content to my collection database. Once I have the content on my PC I can browse it at my leisure :) So I guess I'm in the middle between the 2 options.

Yes, you would get a folder / file browser that you can use to select the file you want to play. The media player will come with a remote control so controlling the playback is the same as with a DVD player.
Also most of them support usb hard drives so if you dont want to run cables everywhere, just copy what you want to play to the hard disk and them plug it into the media player.

Without moving your PC next to your TV, your best bet would be to get a media player like a Popcorn Hour. Run a network cable between that and your PC and then you will be able to stream and play anything you have on your PC on your TV.

I think its refering to the "Browse News" link in the green right hand menu on the homepage.
Either way, maybe some tweaking is required to make it more prominent and thus get greater usage?

I dont use a monitor as such. For day to day usage / work I use a 17" laptop. My main entertainment PC is connected to a 46" full HD TV which I also use for web browsing, games and movies. I havent used what could classically be called a monitor in years.

Quite a difficult one to answer as the way I interact with others greatly depends on who I'm with. I'm generaly laid back, dont go out of my way to start arguements or fights, listen to other peoples point of views etc. But I dont suffer fools gladly, when someone says/does something stupid within earshot, I tend to jump in and shoot them down.

While I tend to agree that 1 on 1 is usually the best, great fun can also be had with 3+ people as long as everyone participating is 100% into it which is pretty difficult to get right

I dont usually bother with softcore content but even in hardcore scenes when I see a disembodied hand (usually the overenthusiastic cameraman's) I dont like it one bit. Leave it to the actors, thats what they are there for.

On a OS drive it is still needed as things are being written and deleted all the time. The main consideration is the swap file as that is being accessed all the time. But the actual speed improvements I have never felt are worth the 3 - 4 hours it takes to defrag my main 1.5TB drive. Of course if your OS is on a solid state drive (or even if just your swap file is on a el cheapo usb stick) there is no point in ever defragging.
On my media drives there is absolutly no point defragging, I fill them up and then buy new ones.

If you believe what Freud had to say on the subject, violence is the one of the most basic and fundamental parts of human existence. It is the society in which we live which controls to what level those violent thoughts and desires are acceptable. As society becomes more and more accepting of violence be it in dramatized entertainment or sport, I think it is not a great leap to believe that society will become more violent in general. Which, again if you believe Freud, will lead to happier and more content human beings as we will not be suppressing our innermost desires as much as we do today. Make of that what you will.
