Sounds a little dodgy. I've had that sort of thing happen a few times in the past on a few sites. Sometimes it is the browser or anti spyware or anti virus kicking in - for instance in the past AVG warned of viruses for a time, when I tried to login to Pirate Bay. That appeared to be AVG acting as a censor, but I never know how seriously to take these sort of warnings. I'm always wary of sites offering special offers from live chat. I suppose I am cautious and don't blame you giving that particular site a miss.

One more thing. Sites like this, run by these sort of people, undermine the efforts of the really decent sites like Karup's, who bring quality porn at a reasonable price, without any tricks or cons.

I think you have been over generous with your mark as this site is clearly run by conmen. The mark should be a "0" as this is what the site and the people who run it deserve. I really don't think TBP should even advertise this site, unless they have a special "red warning listing" for those sites who deliberately try to deceive and rip people off. Thanks for the warnings though. It's scumbags who run sites like this that really do give porn a bad name.

Welcome to PU. Good effort for your second review.
The one thing you don't mention in the cons, is the use of condoms in 90% of their clips. That isn't necessarily a con for some, but means it's a definite no goer for me. Even if it isn't a con I think it needs mentioning.

That's a very good and well thought out review. I will be interested to hear what you rhink of the the network as a whole and individual sites on the network. People seem a little divided in their opinions. Wittyguy and Drooler like the network, Denner is not so sure. All have opinions I respect.

Thank you for taking the trouble to post a comprehensive reply. I would say that likewise the cross sale is in plain site and therefore can easily be checked. The reason cross sales work is because of the ones that are missed and go unchecked by people who are to embarrassed to complain to their credit card companies, and too embarrassed and/or tired or don't have the time to go through the complaints process at online porn sites. This is why they make a profit for sites.
There are only a few like me who refuse to join sites who have them. It was honest of that reperesentative recently who told me customers don't like them because they sign up inadvertantly to something they don't want. Their cross sale may be more hidden than DDF's of course. Some are worse than others. But if you have to start thinking if there's a cross sell, if so, how hidden it is, or how reputable a company is, you're not going to give your credit card details. This hurts everyone in the long run.
Obviously I have a bee in my bonnnet about this one. I am a complainer, and want transparency not only in the porn world, but freedom of speech everywhere. It's a pipe dream of course, and isn't going to happen but you can only do your best.
I do appreciate your reply. I hope the cross sell is eventually removed as I would like to subscribe to DDF.

I appreciate your comments and agree with some of them. On price for instance you wont get any argument here. I have said a number of times that porn is ridiculously cheap or dirt cheap. I also said I would be willing to pay more.
It's a shame there are too many inconsistencies when joining networks or sites. I have criticised many sites for those inconsistencies and also for regional discrimination and pre checked cross sells.
If not for the cross sell I would have joined DDF ages ago, as I think it is tremendous value for money. I would also give it the benefit of the doubt when it comes to inconsistencies and customer complaints.
Sites who practice cross selling for me don't get the benefit of the doubt because they are clearly trying to trick customers. I recently contacted customer service of one network who admitted that customers don't like cross selling as they find they have signed up unintentionally for something. Very honest of the representative to admit that.
Not that DDF is on its own there. More sites rather than less seem to be resorting to trickery to get the money nowadays, and a number of them are what would otherwise considered to be reputable places.
It's not all black and white, and your prices are, yes, ridiculously cheap, and great value for money. More could be done to make sure everything is streamlined and transparent so customers know what they are getting relative to others, and get a good feeling about handing over their credit card details rather than a bad one. A bad one and the porn industry as a whole, not just that site or network, stands to lose that customer.

Ouch that hurts. That's another thing that's wrong with online porn. Too much obscure small print, dirty tricks, and just awful organisation and standards so no one knows value relative to their money. You end up with a bad feeling after having subscribed. You feel like you've been ripped off because you are paying virtually the same but are treated differenttly.

Another truly excellent review admiral, and a thoroughly decent thoughtful reply by graymane.
I am reminded of some posts I received from a bdsm/spanking blogger when I noted how there are a few smug, self righteous, and intolerant people around in that scene. He remarked that they are some of the most small and narrow minded people around considering their pursuits. It appears a small minority have decided that their, and only their limits are acceptable. Anything softer than that, and anyone who disagrees with it is completely small minded, and anyone who is into anything harder is a completely disgusting pervert.
This sort of site makes you ask yourself what is acceptable and what isn't. When it comes to degradation there are some truly degrading and awful jobs around. I knew someone who couldn't stand working in a flour mill for coughing his guts out after a day's work. Any time you buy a cheap pair of shoes, or even expensive ones for that matter given the record of some well known manufacturers, you are undermining your own hard working people, and supporting slave labour.
Many jobs are just awful and make people unhappy. Almost certainly some women get drawn into porn and end up feeling degraded and suicidal. There were some on the softest of sites who were supposed to be traumatised from appearing. Many people have degrading and awful jobs where they are abused.
As a porn lover I'm not going to smugly judge what is acceptable and what isn't because the majority of society thinks all porn lovers are sickos. It's all about your own standards and your own morality. The problem is there are others who are absolutely sure their standards and their morality is righteous, and since some are on a very close personal relationship with god they are sure they are right, because they think what god thinks.
In some places, any porn, even a few bare breasts are considered highly degrading, disgusting, and should be punished very severely indeed. In our civilized world there are still many who consider any porn to be degrading to women and fire men up to be r@pists. Some consider all men to be potential r@pists. All porn can be considered abusive and degrading to women, and any men who like it can be considered to be sick perverts, who want to abuse women, indeed they enjoy the abuse of women, and hate them, even though they pretend otherwise. That is the attitude of many. As a porn lover I'm not going to try and impose my standards on others. People in glass houses.
As a viewer where do I draw my line? It's just personal, but it's where people choose to do a job, although some don't have much of a choice so it's a very fine line. I know by buying porn I am contributing to an industry that doesn't treat many of its employees very respectfully, and undeniably, because of demand, many will get drawn into an industry, where they will end up thoroughly exploited, and lead miserable, wretched, unfulfilled, and unhappy lives.

What TBP says is this.
"Some included sites are not stand-alone sites. Users outside of the US may be charged in Euros, which would be much more expensive."
They also sometimes advertise membership for $7.99, but that is only if you join for a whole year.
They charge VAT of 20% on UK memberships. I found that out by giving a phony email address so I could get to the next join up page and see what it looked like. I didn't want the usual spam, so I gave the phony email address, as I had no intention of joining. It's the "may be charged in Euros" phrase on TBP that caught my eye.
I will not join a site that has regional discrimination.

Great review. This reminds me of the truly bad old days. You know, the time when video was just catching on, and if you weren't careful you'd pay a lot of money for a real pile of old rubbish - pretty much what you have just described on this site. Thankfully, if people read this review, they wont waste their money.
