You are making many good points, toadsith and I agree with most of what you say. When it comes to GOW I'm convinced that it's no accident that a video will show the videographer hand the model a bottle of body lotion while she's doing a slow strip, or to see her knees and feet as she is laying down for a shot from a floor angle. Is it laziness, I just can't be bothered to edit out these scenes or is it by design? As I said, I think it's by design (a continuing theme) that's why I keep referring to the site as "raw" for lack of a better word. A studied casualness?

I believe that the technical skill is there and is being used, toadsith. The difference is that they make no attempt to create art. It's a "raw" site and to someone like me who is tired of very beautiful models shot in very tasteful poses it is a breath of fresh air. The photography is crisp and clear, so technically there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Esthetically maybe (feet of photographer showing etc.) but I'm tired of aesthetics. That's exactly why I wrote what I wrote. Perfection turns me off these days, I see too much of it in another very highly rated site that I subscribe to and which I have visited about three times since the beginning of last week in order to check their updates ... without finding anything to download. All those gorgeous teenies in all their blandness. I wish that, in their case, I had stuck to my usual "subscribe for a month routine" because I have two more months of Barbies left. But, to use the old cliche: chacun a son gout! That's why I hope I made it crystal clear in my review what the site is all about. I wouldn't want to mislead anyone into subscribing to a site that goes totally against their taste. Just to stress it again: the models are mostly ordinary next door type girls/women (I hope I won't insult them with that remark) but that is exactly their attraction for me. Keep in mind that this review is coming from the pen of a guy who wouldn't know a Jenna Jamieson if he tripped over her and judge accordingly. :-)

Things are much worse than, with CCBill probably being the only trustworthy processor to date (at least it wasn't caught doing it - I think they're doing almost the same thing but with checkbox unchecked, and it IMHO changes things dramatically from swindling to not so annoying upsell) :-(.

I used to think so too until I've run into Epoch using the same technique on purchase of Diabolic site selling PornStarsTop, and these 2 sites don't seem to be related (I'd even say they're from very different leagues).

Do you remember what was their credit card processor? Wasn't it Epoch by any chance? I've seen such thing (which I think is nothing short of swindling) a few times recently, and I think it was Epoch all (or at least most of) the time.
Moreover, I'm not even sure if webmasters of original sites get anything from such "trials"; it would be very interesting to see a comment from one of them here (and if Epoch is doing it without consent of webmasters, it can easily find themselves in a DEEP TROUBLE; such company as Diabolic won't hesitate to sue Epoch in such case).

As Raven rightly said, if Denys had the time I'm sure he'd enjoy doing courses on photography - I'm sure there's pretty much to be learned from just looking at the sets on our sites, but maybe it's a thought for when Denys retires - The Denys Defrancesco School of Erotic Photography.
The technical side is pretty complicated - Denys has heaps of experience and knows more that anyone I know about the "arty", composition and lighting side of things, about the photography itself - he also works the most of anyone I know, I'd keel over within a week if I tried keeping up with him. He really loves his work. As for the technical, post-shoot side, you can always get someone to help with that and we have a little team here in Budapest of about 15 people working in the background just on the design, retouching editing and technical side of things.
I might talk to Denys about things, he might start work on an erotic photography book, it wouldn't be a bad idea - full of nice pictures of course, but also with useful tips and advice for amateur and professional photographers alike - hmm...you have me going on this one, it might actually happen... :)
Anyway...getting late - have member mails to answer :)

As far as I've heard, usually in such cases courts are VERY reluctant to upheld these conditions :-), so it's mostly a weapon of frightening customers who're going to complain. Still, whenever I notice such conditions, I feel that such guys are trying to cheat me, so why I should do business with them, especially if there is a choice?

They've had so many different schemes to keep their subscribers that I've lost count, Toadsith. I don't stream except for a few seconds to see what the video looks like. I have been a member of 21Sextury and 21Sextreme over and over but lost interest last time because their updates really dwindled noticeably. However, I figured if I waited long enough there might be enough updates by then to keep me there long enough to get to the ten dollar level! :-) TBP's review set off this comment because until yesterday they listed our regular price with the bonus ($9.95) scratched out, yet Maggie mentioned is as a pro! Hi Toadsith, I agree that if you don't have access to normal TV News, Naked News might be a very appealing alternative even though you don't really get enough of it. However the price is certainly right. :-) Another thing I appreciated was that, for obvious reasons, they reserved the serious stories for the beginning of the show and had the tact to wait with undressing until they moved on to a lighter subject. At first it bothered me to see emotionally charged news stories on this site at all, but if the ladies on CNN can grin and smile and banter just before and after they report on earthquakes and famine and genocides, then Naked News' offense is small by comparison.
But to return to my remarks, I have more than ten news channels I can watch, some like the CBC in Canada are even quite good and balanced, I also get massive doses of news on the Internet so, for me it was the stripping ladies and nothing but the stripping ladies that attracted me to NN. :-) And there I felt let down because they didn't strip the way they used to but became quite efficient at getting naked in a hurry!
BTW, I agree with someone's (might have been yours) remarks that the site should not even be listed here because it does not contain porn. Even to list it under "soft porn" would be an exaggeration, in my opinion.

so no regrets, expensive impulse buy but I'm not complaining...it's exclusive and after hunting as long as I have, to find fresh stuff that has not saturated the market like the european stuff like assholefever, allinternal, clubsandy, givemepink and inthecrack, this was a refreshing change...

That's a high score, but I think I understand why you've given them this even though the depth of their catalogue is limited. I'm guessing you like the fact that this is something new.
