In British English I've only heard "could care less" when it's a direct reply to someone saying they "couldn't care less", to refute the statement. Never heard it used alone, without a qualifier...

I apologise in advance for the double post but something just struck me about your original message. I am curious about the etymology of the idiom "could care less". I have always used the polar opposite "I couldn't care less" to indicate that I have a major disinterest or indifference to a subject. Logically to me this phrase means that it is a impossibility for me to care any less for it as I am already at the lowest interest level. When I read that someone "could care less" to me that means they can take it or leave it, am I understanding it correctly?

Seeing this poll my first reaction was everyone will obviously think like me: "massage, dont care, but loads of baby oil is a guaranteed winner!!!" I guess this is why we have so so many different porn niches :)

No concerns with malware or viruses; maybe "space" is a factor, I donno. In retrospect, maybe "uncomfortable" was a poor word-choice.
But for the most part, Unless I've decided to save something, I find streaming quicker and more managable. For example, I can skip through unwanted parts of a scene, back up, and not set and wait for a clip to download.
As for buffering an' the like... I'm not bothered with that too much, I suppose because of having a hefty processor, bandwidth and memory allotment.

I will agree that most high quality picture sites do a good job making the watermark, if they have one, not very objectionable.

I'm not sure exactly what the poll question is asking.
But I think that when PU members spend money on a porn paysite, they are hoping for, or expecting, that they will get at least reasonable value for that money. That means the site should be easily accessible, easy to navigate, with contents that have both quantity and quality.
If the site contents (the videos and photos) are crap, or it is difficult to access the contents because of poor download speeds, or lousy navigation or other problems, then the PU member will feel he has wasted his money.
I am still trying to feel my way to what the poll question means: "Do you feel some users overthink thier porn?"
I doubt that many of us try to study porn like some people study the bible. But we certainly spend time trying to organize our porn collection. Which can take a bit of thought. That would be well spent, because a disorganized mess of a collection is extremely difficult to search through after the collection becomes large. And it's very easy for a porn collection to keep growing over time. You have to prune and weed out the junk, and organize what you have. Which takes time and thought.
Some of the more intelligent and thoughtful and organized PU members should take pity on the rest of us and create a software program that will let us organize our porn collection more easily. That way, we could spend less time trying to keep the files organized and more time enjoying the contents.
But, in general, I do not believe most PU members overthink their porn. They spend a lot of time trying to collect it, and some time trying to organize it, and maybe some time trying to enjoy it. And where is the time left to think about it, after all those other activities take up what is, after all, only a hobby?
I don't know anyone who really studies their porn like people who study great literature or great art.
Porn is more for enjoyment, rather than for study, I believe. Like popcorn movies are made for enjoyment, rather than for study.

Talking to my sis about this subject today and she said the easiest to get addicted to and that has no medical or social redeeming value is Meth. She says that one time can change the chemical balance of your mind and create the addiction.
I think this came about because of a front page story about a kid killing himself last year after snorting what is called "bath salts" which the state has now made illegal. Stuff like that just makes you suicidal and isn't really it addictive - just makes you crazy out of your mind.
Anyway I should add my sis is a MD so I respect her take on it.
We were also talking about making drugs legal - well not all drugs (like meth) but most other street stuff - easier to control, can be taxed, and potentially removes a great deal of expense policing the stuff - then that money could go into treatment. There is no treatment in jail. Just seems like a humane way to go and what we do now doesn't seem to work.

I don't disagree Slutty with your thinking. But thinking about the question - which is the most difficult to kick, I still go with cigs just for the reason's you said. It is socially though marginally, acceptable. And it's big business.
I personally did not have a hard time when I wanted to quit ... the second time. I once quit for five years and started back. I quit in 1989 using a subliminal tape for 30 days. The thing that this tape did was once I lost the physical addiction (a seven day cold took care of that) I didn't have the mental addiction of wanting to smoke in certain types of trigger situations - like drinking or after eating. I was truly blessed not to be tempted by that and have been smoke free ever since ... except for the occasional puff of weed though you can imagine that was done for a different reason.
As far as your take on meth, you are correct - very dangerous drug due to how adversely it can make you act out. At least heroin just makes you pass out basically - ah..after a spell that's like a constant orgasm but we won't belabor that point. I'd have to put meth and probably crack up there with prescription drugs.
I would hold my agreement with heroin being the most addictive - If we shot up one time I doubt we'd become addicted - I think it takes repeated exposure to it - and it depends on the mix at street level. But this is not to say it isn't dangerous so don't take me wrong.
Given any person's addiction regardless of what it is, if you can't treat the root cause, you can't kick the addicted personality. Just cause you can kick a habit if that root cause isn't "cured" then the person will just go find another addition to indulge in.
Maybe in this poll, religion should have listed as an addiction to kick? People use it the way that some use drugs.

Actually, the point that I mean to make (rather obliquely, I fully confess), is that cumshots are ridiculous. I've NEVER been with a woman who said, "You're about to cum? Shoot it on my face!"
Yet cumshots have become such a standard fixture in porn flicks that if we don't see them, we think there's something missing.
The girls have all been face-splooged, and we've all been brainwashed.

I thank you for your trust rating vote. I didn't mean to sound so cocky in response to the poll question but try to understand that I'm Irish, I'm drinking whiskey and on top of that I'm a New Yorker so cockieness is in my nature. It's all about context man. The context of that question leaves me to think that new users don't have a clue to what they're talking about and people shouldn't jump the gun and trust them right off the bat. I'm a "newbie" to this site so how is a question like that supposed to sit with me? Of course I'm going to take offense...it's all about context man!

You're right there are decades of 1.85:1 and similarly wide aspect ratios of films, but there are some 4:3 films (silent era) or 1.33:1. Later films widened a bit to 1.37:1 which looks very close to a SD fullscreen 4:3 TV so it gets confusing (1.37:1 should have a little bit of letterboxing).
Interestingly I remember a few widescreen "standard" definition TVs back in the 1990s before most consumers ever got wind of the coming HD formats. I guess the point of those sets were for the letterboxed VHS and DVD movies though TV signals and video games of the time would be boxed in with vertical bars--not much of an advantage if you ask me.
The number of different film formats is really crazy, though given a century of film it's understandable. Makes the number of formats in only a few recent decades of porn seem not so bad after all...until one won't play on your computer!

My guess is that platin is short for platinum blonde. Platinum blonde would be a whitish blonde. Sometimes you will see young children with platinum blonde hair, which might be natural. But most adults with platinum blonde hair are probably dye jobs. And people today are often dyeing the hair of their children, or the kids are doing it themselves, which was not common when I was growing up in the 1950s and 1960s.
Jean Harlow was a platinum blonde.

I personally like Win XP better than Win 7. Win XP just seems easier to use. But the new computers all come with Win 7, and I'm not going to pay extra (a large amount of dollars) to add Win XP to my PC.
Microsoft charges a large amount of money if you are buying an OS separately from them. Nowadays, the cost of the Microsoft OS is what, maybe $200, and you can buy a low-priced PC for $500 with all the hardware and software that comes with it.
The price for buying items separately instead of bundled with a new PC has always been high, but it seems even higher nowadays. Unless you really know where to buy, and can do it yourself, instead of having a PC tech guy do it for you.

There's also supposed to be a Black Screen of Death and a Red Screen of Death out there, but I've never seen either one of those, that I can remember. The Blue Screen of Death pays me a visit every so often, and has ever since I started using a home computer.

Ditto that. I enjoy porn for the babes, not to watch some guy having his sausage slobbered over. If a BJ is really necessary, then make sure the babe's body parts are on view.
Worse than BJ's however are teabagging closeups and asshole licking by the babe.

a couple of quick hints for making better videos:
- plan your shoot - unless you're doing a simple point/shoot, a simple storyboard can make quite a difference
- keep the camera still! - use a tripod, limit zooming in and out, pan slowly
- if you can use different angles
- use as much natural light as you can or invest in some decent lighting/reflectors (you can pick up something second hand that will do the trick)
