Hey, old friend, I was tempted a couple of times to send a posse after you but then thought, well, he must have his reasons for staying away, probably the same as mine ... not much to say at the moment ... so I am sorry to hear your reasons were so painful, protracted and serious. I hope you will be able to talk them into prescribing some potent pain relievers to keep you going until you mend. I do know what it is like to live with chronic pain, even though I wouldn't compare it to the more severe pain experienced after major surgery. Have a speedy recovery because I miss you too.

Hey, CT, ole pal. I am usually with you, I am definitely with you when it comes to guarding our rights. I am against any legislation that would dictate morality (one of our Prime Ministers said: the Government has no business in the bedrooms of the nation), so I am all for gay rights, equal rights, the right to determine what I can see and read, freedom of speech, expression, assembly even the freedom to wear a condom or not .. everything but this accursed gun thing. If you want to buy a hand gun because you feel insecure, or because you like target practice, or a hunting rifle because you like the *sport* .. fine .. but there is no justification for weapons, and the accompanying super-size magazines, that can kill twenty kids in three seconds. There MUST be a complete ban on all weapons that allow mass killing. Period. Especially in the light that some mental cases now make lists of previous mass murderers hoping to "top their score!" (According to your news sources) We live in a sick age and a background check does not always reveal a sick would-be killer. Taking away your right to a rapid fire assault rifle does not infringe upon your right to bear arms. It's only meant to limit the harm you can do with a weapon. Same as you have no right to shout fire in a crowded theater, so you have no right to own a weapon that'll kill a bunch of strangers whose only crime is that they came to watch a movie. And the excuse that the majority of gun owners are NOT mass murderers will not cut it as long as weapons of mass destruction are available to the *unknown* unhinged!!! You've seen their work three times (or even more) during the past six months and you know they are there and that it is awfully hard to tell beforehand if someone is a potential mass murderer or not. The whole thing is sick and twisted and I cannot understand you, the NRA or Harry Reid for the stance you are taking. Sorry! Still friends, but puzzled as well as disturbed, m.

Wow, those WOULD be ultra, wouldn't they? But I think it would be a bit of an overkill, if any movies with those specifications existed at all, because even a 720p HD movie looks very good on my 42" LED TV. And the present standard in HD, 1080p looks spectacular. Not only that but the files would be huge, I imagine!

It was just a thought, RB. I would like to try a subscription to any quality site I have not previously subscribed to that uses Epoch, just to see if that one will go through. I don't even insist on "fully dressed, yet wearing fine lingerie, mature women who strip to the buff" any more. As long as I don't feel that I have wasted my money. But you are right, I shouldn't have asked because everyone's taste is so different.

Are there any others these days, RB? Kidding aside, do you know of any good sites that use Epoch for a biller?. I still have no idea why I cannot join JAV HD because after three attempts Epoch still will not allow me to complete the transaction. No notification, no error message, it's just not being forwarded. This is something new to me and has me wondering if Epoch has all of a sudden decided not to accept re-chargeable credit cards?????. So, any ideas when it comes to a good site that might use Epoch so I can see if my card works with them? Don't bother to mention the following: AO30, Anilos, 21Sextreme, ALSScan, ATK Galleria, ATK Natural & Hairy, ATK Aunt Judys, Score HD, Bangbros., Naughty America, Reality Kings, Karups, Brazzers, Nubiles, Young.And.Legal, Kink.com sites, Art-Lingerie, Vintage Flash, Video Box, Videosz, Pornstar Network. Some of the above I find too bland to go back to, while with others I am a subscriber at this very moment, and with others yet I am waiting for some time to lapse before re-subscribing. Waiting with bated breath (and it can be softcore, hardcore, picture and/or video) m.

I know what you mean, Marcus. In my case it's always the "cons" I have the problem with. I hate to continue on into the "bottom line" with them so I slash and burn quite a few cons before I submit anything. Great review, btw, just got finished looking at it.

If you use Firefox get their extension DownThemAll. I always (95% of the time) download at my top speed of 2.35MB/s. If you open "preferences" look under servers and have them combine the output of about 6 - 8 servers, that'll do it. Of course, if you download more than one file at a time your download speed per file will be lower. In this case it would be your top download speed divided by the number of files you download.

Thanks, lk2fireone. I am about to give it another go. If it had happened once I would have blamed a computer glitch for it but it happened again the next day and this time from outside TBP. I'll let everyone know how my latest attempt worked out. Maybe if I used a different user name and password in the Epoch application this time? Keep your fingers crossed for me. PS. Nope, no dice! I just did it again, I clicked on the button but rather than get a confirmation I just stayed on the same page without any indication that anything was trying to connect to a link in the background. First time this has happened to me! Wish I had another site in mind at the moment to see if the Epoch link works there! Edited on Mar 05, 2013, 12:04pm

I agree about the chilling out, CT. I think there are a lot of rabble rousers contaminating the air waves, inciting one part of the population against the other. It's a wonder you are not in the middle of another civil war yet. And to my deep regret I don't get any Victoria's Secret ads popping up. Booooooo! Here in Canada they are being replaced by local ads. That goes for just about every American channel.

I had no problems at all, Khan. Thanks. Funny thing though, the first site I was trying to subscribe to since my "dry spell" ended won't let me, for some reason. I left a comment under JAV HD. It is the weirdest thing: I do all the preliminaries with Epoch: user name, password, credit card info then when I click on "complete transaction" absolutely nothing happens. No information to the effect that I forgot to add something important, nothing .. it just doesn't go anywhere after I click "Complete Transaction." JAV HD must get all my details at the same time I deal with Epoch because after the first time I attempted to subscribe unsuccessfully I ended up getting an email from them with the user name I had given to Epoch offering me a special. Out of curiosity, because their special was no better than yours, I tried to subscribe through their link and once again wasn't forwarded to anything when I clicked the Epoch "Complete transaction." Have you ever run across anything similar? I clear my cache and cookies regularly, am not aware that Canada is on some Japanese black list and am stumped. It does not appear to be a scam either because I have not been charged by anyone for these attempts. I could have sent this info by email but am hoping that someone in this forum had a similar experience and can offer a solution.

^ CNN liberal biased? Good heavens, don't tell me you watch Faux News, CT! Now if it were MSNBC I would agree with you, but I find CNN quite middle of the road and basically fair minded. The CNN Headline News channel, on the other hand, is no longer watchable, unless you like courtroom drama. Or are you upset with them because Pierce Morgan has a pro gun control crusade going on? I am upset as well but not because they are left leaning ... it's all those commercials that drive me crazy!

My personal experience leads me to believe that H.264 (mp4) is better than wmv. I not only find that the picture is crisper but also that the mp4 file is considerably smaller than wmv. If I have a choice it is mp4 every time.

I really don't know why Americans don't take to the barricades after reading Time's latest article "Why Medical Bills Are Almost Killing Us!" It is an incredible story about how those non-profit medical centers and hospitals rake in huge amounts of money by charging ridiculous prices for everything from a Tylenol to a CT scan. It is especially baffling to me that so many ordinary people were dead set against an even small reform to your present health care system. Boy, they must have incredible health insurance plans! I won't praise our present health care system too loudly because it has developed too many gaping holes because of underfunding, but on the other hand I am sure we will never go bankrupt from a catastrophic illness.

Who knows why they whitewashed Canadian produced shows to make them look as if the action took place in the U.S. I always assumed that a certain percentage of Americans needed to see an American flag in every episode of a show or they just didn't feel right about it ... but ... come to think of it Canadian shows used to be so bad, until a few years ago, that it could be they were trying to deceive us into thinking they were made in the U.S. just so we would take a chance on watching them! And I am sorry to hear that U.S. trained doctors would find it hard to work in Canada. With many countries some retraining is essential so that the doctors get used to our way of doing things, but I would have assumed that American doctors were held in high regard and that the obstacles to their practicing their skills in Canada would be small. We sure could use you (or your girlfriend, or both of you). There are many people here who have to go to Emergency with minor illnesses because they can't find a family physician because many of them (as well as many of our nurses) have left for greener pastures in the U.S. Universal Healthcare may be great but not too many doctors get rich of it. Mind you, they are not exactly poverty stricken either.

Hey, jb, I think most of my problem is the poor porn that is being put out these days. I still have four subscriptions going. One, I gave up on some time ago with 2 months to go because no picture set ever appealed to me and their videos were only so so, the other three I still look at on a daily basis but have not downloaded anything in ages because it's all too bland and familiar. My temporary salvation came through a Kindle book I had downloaded. It struck all the right notes with me and made me realize once again that it might not be me but that when it comes to visual porn some of the more successful sites must have made a decision to stick to a certain way of taking pictures and how to have their models dress and every other site decided to imitate them until you can't tell one set from another. Same with the videos, it has been some time since I saw anything of interest at VB unless I should suddenly be prepared to go retro and put up with poor technical specs (640x480 rather than HD). I am also a member of Fame Digital at the moment but find them cookie cutter as well if I concentrate on HD only. Some of White Ghetto's stuff wouldn't be too bad if the picture was better. So, I guess until they put some of their models in dresses and lingerie once again and give me some good upskirts etc.once in a while it's going to be the written word for excitement! I guess you wish by now that you had never asked!

I believe you, slutty. It's just that Jimmy Carter said the identical thing on CNN.
Sadly, the Canadian Film industry tends to work with a shoestring budget and the end results tend to reflect that. Most Canadians don't like watching Canadian movies for that reason. Actually there was a movie made years ago, by Canadians, about this affair which was truer to the facts but it didn`t get any international distribution, at least not to my knowledge. As for Canadian TV shows, they have actually been getting better and now, in this multi-channel universe, get wide international distribution. The reason why so many of them try to disguise the fact that they are made in Canada is once again American attitude. If it isn`t made in the U.S. it can`t be any good. There was also a time where this was true. All of us here in Canada preferred American shows for our entertainment for this reason. And what do you mean "accent" - you are the ones with the accent!
Oh, I know, slutty. It was just a temporary snit on my part. I shouldn't have expected truth in a Hollywood movie. I still remember the movie about how the Americans stole "Enigma" off a German sub, when in actuality it was the British and Poles who did it. P.S. Sorry about the mess. I was trying my hand at splitting your post. Terrible result. I have no idea how I got your quote twice, once in normal font and once in bold!!

Glad you wrote this, Pat! (See my comment above yours) And I would be willing to bet that if they win the Oscar that Ken Taylor will be mentioned because Ben Affleck is keenly aware of our negative reaction. However, in my eyes, a bare mention cannot undo the harm that is being done to history by this movie.

The guy's name was former President Jimmy Carter on CNN's Pierce Morgan show, slutty. This movie is causing a huge uproar in Canada because, even though we tend to be self-effacing when it comes to our accomplishments, we would still like to have our contributions acknowledged a bit more often by others. And to have a rescue mission that was almost completely carried out by the Canadian Consular staff in Teheran turned into a glorification of the CIA, with Canada only being given a nod, sticks in our collective craws. This is not a reaction to this one incident but an accumulation of resentment over Canadian heroism and contributions in various wars and peace keeping missions that have been mostly ignored by the world and definitely by America. If everyone were as wise and clued in as you are then there would be no problem. But ask the average American, after they see this movie, who was responsible for the rescue in Tehran and the majority will shout: USA, USA, USA! It may be just a movie and have its merits but by claiming to be based on true events it becomes dangerous and in our case hurtful.

Can't disagree with you there, lk2fireone. I have seen a huge change in the English language in my life time. There are words my generation had never heard of, there are changes in meaning as in your *dude,* there are changes in the way words are pronounced with the emphasis all of a sudden on different syllables, but there is also a wrong kind of change where English (especially written English) is being butchered and folks are not even aware of doing so. And I still haven't seen an answer if *off of* is sometimes right and acceptable, or if it is always wrong.

I would have thought it to be a simple mistake as well, JB, but I come across this every day. In newspapers, magazines, stories I read. It always seems to be *I took the book off of the shelf* rather than *I took the book off the shelf*. Is there a right context where off of is correct? I am honestly confused.

Times have changed quite a bit, and grammatical errors (in my day) have now become quite commonplace and accepted. It is not my intention to play grammar or spelling police, I always found this a bit elitist. I am also aware that, most likely, I make quite a few mistakes myself, but one thing has me baffled and I am not sure if I have been using it incorrectly all my life or if things have changed on me. And that is the use of the word *off* in certain contexts! I have always used it as in, get off me, while many, if not most, will say get *off of* me. Here is the latest example from a reputable site with reputable journalists: "the International Olympic Committee had voted wrestling, the sport in which he won his gold medal at the 2008 Olympics, *off of* the 2020 Olympic program." It sounds so wrong to me but could *I* have been wrong for the past fifty-six years? I won't get upset if you say *yes*! I simply need to know and I don't feel like going to Google.

Funny that you should mention your anti-depressant and its positive effects on your libido. It just went to Google and found that I am on three different medications that might cause a decrease in my sex drive over time: statins (cholesterol), opioids (for chronic pain), plus my blood pressure pills! Porn has always influenced Main Stream,jb. Things like garter belts, silk stockings, high heeled shoes, lacy, provocative panties (sheer, crotchless), lacy bras, bright colors especially red, they all started with high class prostitutes because they knew what turned men on, and wives and sweethearts took note and followed their example ... until recently!

Testosterone it is. Believe it or not, jb, I never worried too much about "wood" when I still found porn exciting, which wasn't all that long ago. But to look at it and be indifferent .. that's hell! How can anyone be bored while looking at beautiful women? Pretty soon I'll be watching re-runs of "Little House On The Prairie!" Shudder! Must get off this morbid subject soon before the whole group starts throwing rotten eggs!! I am sorry now that I even started it. I have too much of a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve and always get embarrassed about it afterward.

I am glad to see another reader in this group, elephant. I sometimes wish there were paysites listed here that carry a decent amount of written erotica. I would subscribe in a minute, always having been a voracious reader! And I am glad you found the time to drop in.

You are right, of course, graymane. In Hugh's case it might very well be propaganda and he and the girls just play board games or Wii all evening. After all you got to maintain your reputation as a ladies' man if you are the publisher of Playboy!

Well, graymane, all I can do is 'Rage, rage against the dying of the light' (Dylan Thomas) for a while and then eventually accept the inevitable. I always figured that once your libido left you you wouldn't miss it, especially if you are in your seventies, and I was wrong. Life has suddenly become boring! Yet, there is still that faint glimmer of hope. After all if Hugh Hefner can still do it, why wouldn't it come back for me as well?

One question in connection with the little blue pill ... does it just help you with an erection or will it actually make you wish to look at porn again? I've never had to use them before this?

Wow, thanks graymane, I hardly recognize myself in your description of me but am very grateful for your friendship. And you mentioned something very important when you said that "we don't dismiss porn casually" .. my sudden loss of libido has left me devastated and I fervently hope that it is something temporary. Trouble is I've gone for week after week now, hoping that at least a reduced version of libido would return, but it hasn't so far. Porn has played such a huge part in my daily life, since it has been the only sexual release available to me for years, that I am really struggling now to find something else to fill my day. I read, I watch TV but you can do that only for so long. I have a sneaking suspicion that my (premature) loss of appetite for porn might be caused by one of the medications I am on but I cannot take myself off them so there you are! In any case, there is still a flicker of life when it comes to written erotica, so I guess I shall use my android tablet and various web sites quite extensively until that little light goes out as well. Boy, I'd better stop because I am starting to depress myself (as well as anyone reading this) even more! Thanks again, friend, for your very kind words.
