It's all about consent for me; how 'rough' or 'abusive' something is comes secondary to whether or not a person even wants it (both giving and receiving). I'm certainly willing to give--well, try at least, I'm a humanist and not very much into hurting others--if there is a person who is willing to receive and enjoys it.
Porn is obviously different; it's fantasy and we assume that it's completely consensual as well so we shouldn't feel too guilty about more "abusive acts."

Lol! I bet you would volunteer! I wonder if it could ever be considered community service, because if it's on the Internet it serves the global community...of loyal perverts. : - )

Yes, quite a few times, but then again there are plenty of fans for every type of crazy shit you can think up, so who I am to judge them? At the same time there are plenty of people who hate the crazy shit I like, so who are they to judge me? Having said that I am fascinated by the creativity and dedication (best words I can think of describe it) to the crazier stuff out there. And it's probably making at least a couple people very happy, so what's the big deal?
All I ask is that people don't bother me in my interests and I won't have a problem with them.

I am not exactly secretive about my reverence for porn, at least with my friends--hell, they all knew I was a perverted creep the moment they met me--but I haven't mentioned PU yet, and I don't think I will. My writing would probably give me away and then they would eventually get greedy and end up breaking into my home to steal my hard drives!
Maybe I'm nuts, but I'm keeping it to myself for now.

In America, at least outside of Nevada, you probably have a far greater chance of being arrested.

I would be more worried about being the victim of a crime than being arrested for an alleged crime. Besides, prostitution isn't heavily outlawed in many countries, though stay clear of the Middle East.

Condoms, condoms, condoms! But bring your own that you have purchased yourself--no point in just winging it or playing by ear. Even if you're not going to have sex yourself, just give them out as a form of humanitarian aid, since quite a few countries seem to have a hangup with them.

That might only protect gay porn...or sites like [ignore]Rentboy.com[/ignore]! ;-)
At most Obama can only be president through 2017, after which the U.S. may have another Jesus freak in charge. We've done it before, there's no reason we couldn't do it again. That being said, I don't think they would be able to outlaw it totally, at least not at a federal level where social legislation gets iffy (except for gay marriage, which apparently just needs a constitutional amendment!). But I wouldn't be surprised if a few states, or just, say, California, loosen their porn laws to what they are in much of Europe and that as a result there would then be outrage from the right as well as 'real America' for new federal legislation.
Think about what happened with Traci Lords in the '80s and as a result now every American video and site has to have the text about how all the performers were at least 18 at the time of shooting. Imagine if a video had some fisting in it and there was no response from the state courts (it would most likely be from California or Florida). The numbnut lawmakers in the U.S. Congress get all upset and huffy that no state laws are in place to reign in 'morals and values' and propose federal legislation to deal with it! After a serious exchange of hot air in the media shoutosphere it's eventually decided that the federal government really can't enact laws about certain content, and as a result a number of states create their own laws and then thereafter every video and site has to include another warning about what states outlaw such material! :-(

I "scan briefly" and watch out for any pre-checked boxes (always suspicious in my view, regardless of whether or not it's porn).

I voted "Go get a reality check." as I don't know why I'd be in a bar in the first place. But if I was in a bar for some reason I would still get the reality check for seeing a porn star.

I personally love widescreen, especially since so many videos are now shot in an HD format--looks great on a widescreen! Landscape format photos also look good on wide monitors as well (my favored perspective of photography), though documents and web pages can look very narrow or as if the monitor is wasting a lot of space.

I like big 'uns...monitors that is. I think 23" and above, at least in widescreen format, is the minimum for what I prefer. 30" is nice if expensive, but anything over that can start to get impractical. Though if you want gigantic size you could always buy a projector, limited only by the size of your wall. Preferably an indoor one if you're watching porn. ;-)
It's also important to me that it can adjust viewing angle--some actually do have this design feature--and also has a number of hookups. If it has an HDMI port you can basically use it as an HD television for a gaming or Blu-Ray system if you decide to get another monitor for your computer.

I'd say Europe, not just "Eastern Europe." Many of the continent's countries have the most porn-friendly laws on the planet with plenty of hot models and creative producers to make the most of it. America--and probably just southern California by itself--creates the most, but probably not the best.

If's a dedicated POV scene (which are rarely softcore) than I expect to see some hands and other body parts as well...but "an otherwise softcore" scene needs to get that hand the hell out of the there!
It's kinda hard to imagine it's my own hand unless it's rejected and the model slaps it away and walks off! :-(

It'll get more brutal whether we want it to or not. :-O
Max Hardcore will become a sort of Lenny Bruce of porn--locked up for what is the future mainstream. And even though many thought his approach kind of sucked he paved the way...on a road made of tears and heartbreak (from his models).
And we'll be lucky if it takes twenty years to get there. More like ten.

I've yet to hear the story that pot increases your reflexes, but then again driving drunk isn't legal even if the alcohol itself is. I'm not picking on you, it's just that this argument always comes up and people seem to confuse use and misuse.
I agree that there should at least be decriminalized since so many Americans tax dollars are going to pay to imprison people for possession, that is simply having it them, not even using it. The old joke is that the most dangerous effect of marijuana is being caught with it, not any of its effects on the body. And if the possession of pot is illegal than what is stopping someone from doing something worse, such as driving under the influence? If someone wishes to use marijuana, and it is close to 100% illegal in the U.S., than how are we to expect them to care about any other norms as well?
Remember: zero tolerance is zero thinking.
