I agree.
The only way to gauge what "most porn surfers" like would be to see membership counts AND renewal stats for all sites.
But that ain't gonna happen so the next best approach is to see what sites seem successful and what sites die on the vine.
Another approach is to see what the successful sites are posting. Bogus boobies seem to proliferate on Brazzers, for example, so they must generate enough hits that the ZZ boys continue to produce/buy such content. But methinks that's not as reliable because my two favorite sites, 21Sextury.com and DDFProd.com have very few pneumatic mammaries displayed on their sites.
Bottom line, PornUsers.com is something I would never expect but truly appreciate; a site that covers the porn site business and a membership that is articulate and resourceful. I suspect, however, that a lot of the porn market is made up of pubescent teens who have not yet developed any specific tastes nor would they bother checking out a site like PU, mainly because they're spending their tiume fist fucking over some tattoed babe with the ballooned up funbags.

I have scored 2 or 3 sites with a 50 because the sites are (were?) total crap with absolutely nothing of any substance. One of them was a solo site for Angelica Costello, aka VENUS, that had hardly any Venus material.
It took me 15 minutes to browse the entire site and there was nothing, nada, zilch that I could download.
So when I see a 50 from someone else, that tells me a lot.
On the other hand, as for 100's, I really don't think a score of 100 is possible. 21Sextury is close to 100 in my opinion, but I'm not keen about the navigation and have a few issues with the search function. DDF Prod is also close to a 100, but it has issues with the update process and with a few broken links.
Bottom line, if I see a 100, I'm very skeptical. When I see a 50, I usually believe it but, like a car wreck on the highway, I still want to check it out.

Back in the day (over 5 years ago) Danni.com had great webcam stuff as part of their basic package with videos of the sessions available for download a few days later.
That is something I would go for; but sadly I don't know any sites at all that do that today.

Normally I would have said 3-5 years but two things have occurred that make the period longer: 1) Windows Vista & Windows 7 both make me want to keep my Windows XP computer; and, 2) Toshiba offers, and I bought, a long term warranty that has done quite well in keeping my older laptop functioning as well as any new one might.

Agreed. The question was framed as a personal preference, not a matter of morality or legality.

Although it's really tough to figure out what graymane really thinks about ass licking, etc., I think I might agree.
For the life of me I can't remotely understand why anyone would do it, let alone enjoy watching it done in porn.

That's my feeling as well.
A preview site is the most important one for a porn site because it's the only real hook they have for dragging a horndog into it.
If a webmaster does a shitty job on the preview site, there's no way I'll waste my money on the member site. Clearly they have no idea how to attract and keep members.
Using the comment section of PU to alert members to this kind of thing is a service that is not available anywhere else on PU except, perhaps, in the Forum.

I use freeones to check out sources for additional material on models that I find on a site that are new to me. Then I'll go to Eurobabes Index just because I am into the great babes coming out of eastern Europe.
For specific genres (I know that's not the poll question) I use Google to find out if there's anything new.
Much as I rely on TBP for evaluation and price deals for paysites I really don't know how I could find specific models through TBP except perhaps through a solo girl site or some such.

This discussion made me go back and do a few random hits on my older files on externals (one is a 2Tb, two are 1.5Tb and one is 1.0 Tb. I also have some 200Gb's +/- with really old stuff) just to see what my reaction would be.
Interesting result was that I was seeing some really great stuff that I totally forgot about and deleted off maybe about a half dozen videos at 320 that were really hard to watch even though it was good content.

That's my answer as well. I really don't get scenes that focus only on some dude's wang and no shots at all of the babe doing the job.

When Danni.com decided to renege on their deal to support their DRM override for members who canceled their membership, I deleted about 30 Gigs of stash because it was no longer viewable.
Other than that, I have two external hard drives; one the "gold drive" for the "good stuff" and the other, the "yellow drive" for "on probation stuff" awaiting a decision.
I review the probation drive periodically and will move the "good stuff" to the gold drive and delete the other stuff.
I guess that about 25% of my probation reviews are moved to the gold drive and 75% wind up being deleted after the review.
