Piracy seems the most likely explanation. Although any pirate worth his salt would still be able to download and re-distribute the video anyway so they only succeed in pissing of real customers.

Yes it's pricey (even more so for us euro peeps) but its one of those sites that just does it for me. So every so often I rejoin to update my collection, but a sustained membership at 50 a month is just plain crazyness :)

Never signed up for a trial and I dont think I ever would. If the free area + reviews on this site are not enough to convince me to join, I certainly wouldnt spend cold hard cash to be convinced.

I like HD video that comes with a hi-res photo set so both I guess. I think the last time I went for pics only, was when I collected ALS scan pictures way back when they sold them on CD's.

I regularly watch porn with my GF. Usually the we dont find many things that we havent done before but often do find new outfits or toys to try. Which means I regularly order a new box of sin from my freindly local internet sexshop. Who says men hate shopping?? :)

What I was saying is, they could have implemented more intelligent country blocking by allowing people who have already paid for access to log in and access the already restricted members area. By doing this in combination with blocking signups from Hungary they would have achieved the same result without pissing me off :)

Its fair enough that they would not want to allow access to the whole hotel IP range but they could have allowed my username and password to login and view what I had paid for. I would be simple enough to redirect users in blocked countries to a very simple login page without any graphics or possibility to signup. If the user already has a account they can login, if not they cant do anything and the identity of the models is still protected.

The hotel was not blocking access, the error message was specifc to 21sextury and had instructions to email them with the error details, which I did :)
I guess in hindsight, I may not have been blocked because I was in Hungary; although that was a reasonable assumption; I may have been blocked because I had accessed the site in Prague, Bratislava and Budapest all in the space of 1 week. That said, I do remember getting blocked for accessing the site from various different IP addresses before but that time I was automatically emailed a new password.
Either way, their support is a joke, I was unable to access what I had paid for and had to resort to less than totally legal methods to get my porno fix. No wonder so many people pirate their stuff when barriers are put up to stop you accessing your legally paid for material :(

I have yet to find a site that I was interested in joining that had censored pics in the trial. However I dont think it would affect my desicion to join, I am more likely to join because of reviews / comments on here than trails anyway

While I agree in principle with what you say, in practice that just won't work. You cant say to over half of your potential market that your site wont work in their "broken" browsers no matter how much you want to. I know the pain of writting horrible hacks so that perfectly valid code will work in certain browsers but if you want to sell your product sacrifices have to be made. Yes, IE, I am looking at you :)

In movies yes as you would generally be in complete control of the scene and what it contains. In reality TV or documentaries if you happen to be filming in a location and a particular song happens to be playing in the background (someones car stereo maybe or from a open window or background music in a club) then you can claim "fair use" which is what they are trying to do here.
