This is hilarious in a way, tangub, because my previous complaint was based on the fact that one of my favorite models, Faye Reagan, was air brushed to such an extent that I couldn't get myself to download her sets! She looked stunning, flawless ... but wasn't the Faye Reagan I was used to and collected! It is really too bad that all the "Only Tease ... only Satin" etc. sites are the same way. Gorgeous models in gorgeous lingerie but all of it air brushed way too much!

You are welcome, tangub. It is a few years since I was last a member of Only Tease. It is certainly huge. If I were going to join now, I would definitely go for the Only All Sites option. They seem to have fairly arbitrary split between Only Tease, Secretaries, Opaques, Silk and Satin. It could be really frustrating, if you collect content for a model, to find she has sets on all those subsites but you only have a membership to one of them. Allsites gives you all the sites plus Melanie and Carla, neither of whom do much for me but there they are anyway. It is expensive but it is what I would do.
If I click the join from Only All Sites, it gives me all the sites for $44.95 (USD) and a cross check for Art Lingerie at $19.95 (USD). Not sure what price it will offer you though.
There is also a link to join via Epoch. That offers me €44.95 (yes that is EUROS) and no cross check for Art Lingerie and it prefills my country as UK, unlike CC Bill, which thinks I am US!
You know, I think I might just give the CC Bill one a go myself before they alter their DNS servers and realise I am in the UK!

It seems odd to me too. I suspect that the site's intention is to apply regional pricing to UK customers but, for some reason, it does not detect my IP address as being located in the UK.
This is perfectly possible, even when no proxy is involved.
I checked art-lingerie's IP address using my own ISP's DNS server and also using Open DNS and Norton DNS. They all give the same result, so that is not an explanation of what is going on. (The DNS server is used to look up the IP address of a site whose URL is known. It is required in order to establish a connection from your browser to a site. Your ISP has its own DNS server to do that but it is possible to tell your router to use a different one, such as Open DNS or Norton DNS. And you can also use various websites to look up an IP address using a specified DNS server. Anyway, the IP address of art-lingerie is the same for all those options.)
art-lingerie's server is located in the US.
When you connect to it with your browser, art-lingerie's server does a reverse DNS lookup on your IP address to determine where you are located. CCBill's server can also do a reverse DNS lookup. The answer it gets depends on the DNS server that it uses to look up the location of your IP address. It is possible that one of those DNS servers thinks my IP address is in the US. (With my previous ISP, sites tended to think I was in Italy!)
I have looked up my IP address in two different places and got two different locations for it, though both are in the UK. There are thousands of DNS servers and it is quite possible that some of them have the wrong location for some IP addresses.
I agree about not putting your credit card details into a proxy. Unless your connection to the proxy is encrypted, your credit card details will be transmitted to it over an insecure link that could be intercepted. And who knows what data the proxy server stores?

Nothing esoteric at all, tangub. Not using a proxy. I just tried it again now. I click the "visit site" link from PU. Takes me to Art-Lingerie.com/t1.. Click "instant access" at the top. Click 30 days recurring and I get the CCBill signup page with the $24.95 (USD) wording that I described. It has pre-filled the country as United States. If I change that to United Kingdom and refresh the page, I still get the $24.95 (USD) wording. Moreover, it is also offering me an extra signup for Only Tease at $19.95 (USD) for 30 days recurring at $19.95 (USD). Also the same price $19.95 for Layered Nylons.
Usually my IP address is recognised as UK because I frequently get little windows offering me to meet a hot date in Sheffield or similar nonsense, when I browse certain sites (e.g. peachyforum).
Hey, I don't suppose *you* (or your ISP) are using a proxy are you? Or something like OpenDNS or NortonDNS? Those could also make a difference. I just use my ISP's DNS server.
You can check what the internet thinks your location is by putting whatsmyip (no www or http - just whatsmyip~) into your browser address. Then copy your IP address, click on IP Location in the menus on the left and paste in your IP address. It should put you on the map. For me it says Oldham, near Peterborough, which is not where I live but it is at least in the right country!
Maybe it thinks you are in France :-)

I guess my ignorance is showing. See that Bangbros is a big and long lasting company I thought their long tenure meant integrity.
As you're comments point out - I seem to be mistaken.
Thanks for your help and thoughts.

that's even stranger. the exact url I was directed to is: http://www.assparade.com/t7/?prg=pps&...&cmp=warningpage
I thought it was rather strange that access from the main site had different behavior then the direct url.
Do you see the same thing when you go to the above url?

Hmmm seems very odd not to accept Visa! As CCBill do for most sites, I would assume that declining to accept Visa is something a site owner would do - perhaps Visa have slightly higher charges for transactions than MasterCard? Then the site owner might only want to accept a card which took less of their profit.
Or perhaps they've had trouble with Visa before - maybe they're too quick to take a cardholders site in the event of a dispute? No idea if these two are true, trying to understand why a site owner wouldn't take it. It can't be a CCBill policy or they wouldn't accept it for any site.
Otherwise I can't see why a site owner would refuse to accept Visa.

Don't know what the problem is, almost all links from external sources are all dead, but did find a discount site with a working link and signed up for half off ($50). Kind of disappointed with the site though, I've taken sharper/clearer pictures with my oncall flip phone.

I was too, about a year ago they supposedly upgraded servers and in the process of moving files they deleted a bunch. I wonder if they finished fixing that one. lol

Last time I joined this site a few months ago I contacted customer service about a few glitches I experienced and they got back within 8 hours or so. They said they were having a lot of site problems and missing files because they had just switched over to a different server host. Not a new server platform in the same place but an completely different company. So you can imagine the complexity of moving all that data. The download problem though honestly sounds like it's on your end, not theirs. I had that problem and started using a download manager and haven't had a problem ever since.

Hey tangub,
I thought the Emy collection was enough to pay for the monthly price. The photo sets they have of her are the best photos I've seen of her. In the Crack has some really good content of her as well. Especially if you haven't seen her glammed up.

ATK had some server issues a few months ago apparently due to a DNS attack. I stuck with them through those rough times, but even in those times I didn't have to refresh a page for every set I wanted to download. It really saddens me to see ATK come to this. Thanks for sharing your experience with ATK Galleria.
There was a message on ATK Hairy's message board from a 8/5/17 that reads:
"Hi everyone, we just wanted to let you all know we are aware of the issues going on with some of the updates on the sites and are working on the issues. We recently made some hardware changes and updates and are experiencing some technical issues. I wanted to personally reach out to you to let you know we are aware of the issues and your messages on the comments are read by members of the staff and myself personally. Thank your for your patience and once again, being a part of our community and site."
I appreciate their outreach and openness, but at some point I have to make a choice. My porn budget is small. I can spend it at ATK with its technical issues, or spend it somewhere where I don't have technical issues. I love ATK, but at this point, economics dictates I make better use of my money. The situation saddens me as many of my all-time favorite sets are ATK sets.

Hi tangub,
Thanks.
Yes I joined We Are Hairy twice but I couldn't get into it, there is something with the way they process the images or something else but they didn't come across that well - to me anyway. The clarity wasn't there.

Volkov is still contributing sets to MetArt.
His latest set at MetArt was posted 2018-01-10, model Galina A, titled "Alyma".
He contributed to MetArt in 2017, 2016, 2015.
So if he is still active, I don't know why Averotica should have stopped updating.
(It's hard to know what is happening with some of these sites and photographers, or the financial arrangements they have with these sites, etc.)
I haven't been a member of this site for many years.
But if it's going to shut down, I should join to collect the photosets of the models I really like.
Is there any way to see news of when or if the site might shut down?
A blog, or whatever?

AV Erotica is currently having a sale of $15 for the first month (recurring at $30/month thereafter).
On my computer, I get that offer, whether I am using the PU link to get to AV Erotica site, or bypassing the PU link and going to the AV Erotica site directly.
So I don't know why you are seeing a join for $30 from Epoch.
Computers can be strange.
My suggestion: if you have a friend, try using their computer to try joining.
The wiki article states your problem is normally caused by a person's computer (for the error message your received). I'm not a computer expert. You don't want to believe wiki, fine with me.
If you don't want to use a friend's computer to join,
you could contact CCBill directly:
https://support.ccbill.com/
Tell them you wish to join AV Erotica at the advertised price of $15 for the first month.
CCBill advertises 24/7 access to customer support.
They have a live chat line, https, which is secure.
I don't know if they will be able to identify why you are having a problem with your join.
But they should be able to give you the $15 price that is advertised.

Easist solution would be to try using a different computer (if you have access to one) to try joining.
Not a public computer, because you are joining with sensitive data. But a different laptop you own, or a friend's computer.
I don't like entering credit card data on a public computer, even if the site uses https. Because the public computer could be hacked in too many ways, and even a "secure" connection is not secure on a public computer.
From the wiki page, it seems the problem is with your computer, not with the AV Erotica site.

Causes of "Error Code 999"
If you have received this error on your PC, it means that there was a malfunction in your system operation. Common reasons include incorrect or failed installation or uninstallation of software that may have left invalid entries in your Windows registry, consequences of a virus or malware attack, improper system shutdown due to a power failure or another factor, someone with little technical knowledge accidentally deleting a necessary system file or registry entry, as well as a number of other causes. The immediate cause of the "Error Code 999" error is a failure to correctly run one of its normal operations by a system or application component.

Are any of the Bonus Sites updating at all?
The most recent TBP review claimed that more than one bonus site was updating - I sent a note suggesting that they re-check that since some of the sites - such as SexyBabes.tv are obviously not updating as can be seen by the stated dates of last updates and during my last visit, I know for sure that none were updating.
Interestingly, there was no response that I can see to my note on the TBP review. That note is no longer showing and the review hasn't been updated.
Actually, the answer to my question is in the fact that you reviewed all of the other sites in the network, none of which are updating - that's what I thought, so the TBP review is incorrect. It's strange that they just took down my comment and didn't correct their review.
