I would suggest a rifle for home defense. This is contrary to many beliefs but some of the new home defense rounds have great stopping power yet low wall penetration....do not want to be killing your neighbors too. Any 16.5" barreled M4 type AR-15 would do.
Second I would get a revolver. The Judge is a great option because it can fire large shot shells. They do make shot shells that are normal bullet sized as well, they can be used in an automatic, but jam consistently. They would great in revolvers because the round is already chambered and just waiting to be fired. I recommend this, again, because of amazing stopping power up close, but much lower risk of collateral damage. At 15 feet or less this would blow a hole the size of a grapefruit in someone, but at 100 yards is nothing more than getting hit with a BB gun or two. They reduce risk of getting jail time for a collateral kill, force to be within the legal range to use lethal force, do great damage up close, and can miss a little but still cause damage because of spread. This is important because people ALWAYS miss a little when in that situation. A 9mm that passes 1 mm from the persons neck could mean your death. A shot shell from a revolver that is centered 1 mm from the persons neck is a bloody mess, and you and your family live.
Go to your local dealer, a good one, and discuss it with them. Spend some time at a local range and see what feels right. Then keep going to the range so you stay at least familiar with how to operate the gun(s). Take some defense courses too.
That all being said, I most sincerely hope that all of you and myself never NEED a gun. They will call you paranoid, until you need it, then they will call you prepared.

Have a few. Mainly an AR-15 Carbine. Currently keep soft tips for home defense, but looking into the newer split core defense rounds. Also have some XM855, the full jacketed steel ball ammo that was recently declassified as armor piercing, making it legal to own. We have a .40 pistol and I keep a Walther P22 on my desk.
Every home should be able to defend itself.

I like them being there. Every now and then I wonder if we are talking about the same site and that is a good way to check.

One solution is to not use DRM. It offers much less protection than you think. I looked at the site and was interested, but will not be signing up because of the DRM.

Sorry, clicked reply on the wrong part. That was intended for original reviewer. Oh well, it still shows up.
I do wish VB have more small niche stuff but people just do not make that many DVDs of that type of content. Seems like if you want something specific and slightly off the beaten path you much find a site that caters to that specifically. Thank the porn gods for the internet or we could never find porn of a pregnant midget drinking its own pee, or whatever it is one might have a sudden desire to see.

I have never had issues with the downloads here. I have at least 12 TB from that site with extremely few problems. Failing at 99% sounds more like an issue to your system. Many download programs will split the files and it could be having issues putting them back together. I have never been throttled by them, even when downloading at 100 MBit or when downloading at 15 but 24/7 for a few months on end.
VB is mainstream because they are a 3rd party site, so that has to be expected. They offer about the same allocations of different types of movies as you would see different types of websites out there. 95% of porn is the same cookie cutter stuff, so that is what they are going to have. They do not make the porn.

Seen it a few times. Really pisses me off. When you do that I absolutely will download your whole site. If I were to ever share content with a friend, that would be first just for a little revenge. The more user friendly the site the more respect I give them.

No file is too big. I have a 25 GB video. Many files are 2 GB or more. I typically go for the largest files because they usually represent the best quality. Only down side is that hard drive prices have sky rocketed since the flooding.

I have seen the real thing in some videos from the 80's and early 90's, well before it was it gained such popularity.

I believe "None" Should have been an option. Not all porn addicts are drug addicts as well. I drink incredibly rarely and in small amounts, I have never smoked, and I have never touched any other sort of drug. Porn is my one and only addiction, thankfully. I average 2 beers a year, that includes 6 at a wedding and 5 while visiting a cousin (at a full nude bar mind you), so most years I actually drink nothing.
If I could only get back all the time and money I have devoted to porn...I would have a lot more really cool things, or at least a bigger bank account.

Gay men have their own Man Rule book. While it is much the same for some gay men, other have a different version. There is one version for the guys very in touch with their feminine side, those very laud and someone annoying guys they like to put on tv, the typical fairy. There is another Rule Book for normal gay men. Subtle differences like the rule stated above are different. They are still required to know what a field goal and a safety is in football (both types of safety). So, technically he is breaking now Man Rule.

Pretty much all the above.
I have spent so much money on it. I could have bought a nice car with that money.
I have had it found many times. Do not even care anymore. Wife knows it is there.
Lost a bunch about 6 months ago. About 5 TB down the drain when a Raid volume got messed up. It was there I just did not know it. Recovered about 10 TB of the 15 in that volume, the reason was gone, I think the volume was too large for the recovery software but really not sure. That was about 7-8% of my collection, so not a huge deal and fortunately I have a file with all the file names in it from a directory logger. So if I want I can go back and try to redownload it.

I am in my 20's so obviously in the past 20 years. I was around 10 when I first got my hands on Playboy, Penthouse, and Hustler. I was 12 or 13 when I got my first porn movie. It was 80's porn, but it was actually pretty good.

Several years ago I bought 500 dvds for $495. Sold about 150 of them on ebay. Got about $800 for those 150, so in the end I made a few bucks plus have 350 dvds still in the wrappers. Had to stop because people kept reporting me (others selling porn).

I tend to agree with this. Externals are a bit of a pain. I have only two actual external hard drives but have the ability to make 20 more. I have a bunch of empty enclosures siting around from an older method of accessing them.
Now I have a good portion of my collection in two 20 bay hot swap SATA-SAS backplane cases from Norco. I use two Chenbro SAS expanders to a LSI SAS RAID controller. This works very well and provides ample speed for porn viewing. This makes skipping around very large videos effortless. Organization has become much easier as well since stuff is not split among many volumes. It was certainly the more expensive route but much more effective an worth the cost. I am not using ethernet for this, rather two 6 GBit external SAS cables.

No, not really. All of those items had long lives and there is no reason to suspect that Bluray will not either. I am sure down the road something will come along, I suspect that will be streaming (Netflix). For this to take over there needs to be an infrastructure change for most people to be able to have multiple megabit connections. Too many people have lower level connections.
Bluray was never a "must have" technology like DVD was. It was meant to be the next step, not a radical change. VHS to DVD was the revolutionary change that caused people to replace their movie collections. 99% of people do not buy movies on Bluray that they have on DVD already, the quality difference does not warrant paying for that. They want people to buy their new movies on Bluray and that is reasonable.
Bluray does offer a better picture and is worth paying a little extra for. Bluray itself will be surpassed at somepoint, certainly not in the next few years, but the idea of high definition will not. Bluray will be around for a while.
Now if you went apeshit and bought a new 3D TV I would say you wasted your money, at least for the 3D part. That is already slowing down, again. 3D sounds cool, but until it is actually three dimensional it will not5 stick. The 3D on a 2D screen simply is not going to work.
Yes new technology comes along, but you might as well enjoy it once it becomes affordable.

The trouble is that it is not the fault o the site. You are scoring them based on something that is out of my control. That would be similar to scoring a site low because I was on dialup and videos took days to download. The other sites may have different paths. Just seems to me to be something more comment worthy that review.
Don't get me wrong though, it should be stated. Too often we hear of our friends across the lake getting screwed by connection issues.

Seems like this review should be more pointed towards your ISP or somewhere in the connection path. 5 years ago I was able to sustain 50 MBit or so. The 15 MBit connection I have at home was always able to sit at the top, for days on end. There is likely something along the connection path that is bottlenecking it, this is something beyond VBs control.

Queensnake BDSM's Reply
Just so the PU members are informed.
I received a direct email from the customer service, which seems to be queensnake herself...kinda cool. She apologized for the confusion, but they had mixed me up with someone that had asked for a refund.
I had intended to write up a review on this site, just had not got there yet. She did seem a little offended, which I can understand, I would be a little too if it was my personal site. Plus, it looked like I had tried to get a refund and complained after getting 97% through my one month subscription. I do not ask for refunds after staying around that long. If I ask for a refund it is 90% of the time within minutes of getting access to the site, we all know those kind of sites.
Now my access was terminated right away after canceling. She claims it should not. Perhaps something got messed up, but I was not complaining about one day. I just wanted my friends here at PU to be aware. Either way, play it safe, set an alarm on your calender and cancel one day before the renew if that is you plan to do.
